I recently went back to bumper view, like the GT4 days. I used to use roof/hood view because the camera would shake too much grinding Indy in any other view. But bumper view is much more efficient for driving. Except when drifting, then it's roof/hood view.

I've gotten used to roof cam. Since I got my wheel I can't play with cockpit view anymore. Weird. :odd:

That is so wierd. I´ve noticed that alot of people can´t use the wheel with the cockpit view since they get confused with the hands of the driver. I have a friend that feels the same even with the dual shock. For some reason, I´ve gotten to the point were the Cock pit view is the only one that I can play with when using a wheel. In my case, it is impossible for me to control standard cars with a wheel, because I get a strange feeling when using the chase camera, or the bumper cam. So I stick with the roof cam when using a wheel on standards. Anyways, I preffer the DS3...

I should reiterate what I posted previously in the appropriate thread.

Give us ADJUSTABLE views we can set in the game options. Let us pick how many views we want, adjust settings like placement, aim, camera dynamics such as fixed or floating and inertia, and save them.

This way, hood drivers, us roofers, bumper cam folk, chase cam users, cockpit fiends can ALL be happy, and no one has to use a view they don't like.

I prefer to use the front bumper cam as I feel it gives me the best view and control. Have never liked cockpit view as i feel it lacks many aspect of what it's like to drive a car in the real world.

Cockpit view. Gotta love that rush and sense of realism, especially in high-powered cars.

Agreed! The sensational renderings of some of the cockpit views in the premium cars is to die for. And especially if your playing in 3D, cockpit is the only way to go.

How many times we got to go over this..?

'Ground/bumper cam' is actually cockpit cam with an invisible car. There have been thread after thread with visual PROOF that the height of 'bumper cam' is identical to cockpit view.

There is NO 'hood cam' That is 'roof cam' as it sits JUST on top of your roof, higher than eye level and a PROPER 'hood cam' would.

And, if any of you need more proof of all this, simply drive your car in 'bumper cam' right up to another car until it touches. If it IS a 'bumper cam', all you would see is the other car's bumper. Most cars, you are looking in the back window. QED...

Agreed, try and test it.
There is a slight angle difference from the real bumper cam to GT5's "ground cam".
And GT5 doesn't have hood cam on all cars - it's roof cam on most of the cars.

Exactly! Not sure why this isn't "common GT knowledge".. Everyone a member of a GT forum and considering themselves a GT fan should know this. Anyone who ever played GT5 should know this. LOL.💡

In GT5P I did nothing but cock pit... for some reason in GT5 the lighting or something I cant put my finger on it.... It throws me off. I now prefer the hood/roof cam. I like the sound of the car better from that view as well.

Exact same man. They destoyed cockpit view in GT5 - biggest dissapoint for me really.

Depends really on what I am in, if I'm trying to get some drifting in, I do like to mix in a bit of full and cockpit view, or if I'm racing, I prefer to use Cockpit, but overall, if it's a premium, cockpit, if a standard, ground/hood view.
