What's more important to you in GT6, mechanical or visual damage?

  • Mechanical. It effects gameplay, and the way people drive for the better

  • Visual. I don't like to feel the consequences of crashing, but I do like seeing it

Optional would be good. Forcing things is pretty silly, especially in offline mode where someone is playing alone..
The problem is that the lame drivers would just turn it off and proceed to bash the AI out of the way and then come online and do the same to other people. Having damage on in A-Spec would teach them how to drive and race properly avoiding other cars and barriers.

With mechanical damage on in Forza I can drive just as much like an ass towards AI drivers; and oftentimes come out even better than if it was turned off. I'd just have to be more creative about it.

It most likely won't change anyone's behavior. As Tor(o)nado said, damage can even be an incentive to drive dirtier.

Also, how one drives vs the AI doesn't have to remotely resemble how they act around other people.

I think both are important and that all the damage and dirt/scratch marks should stay on your car until you wash and repair your car in GT Auto :)

I think we've reached a time and technology level in games where we should say both with confidence. There's few excuses for compromise with these insane budgets and in soon-to-be 2014.
