PLEASE for the love of everything that is good and racy, PUT PORSCHES IN GT5!! How cool would it be to drive a GT3 around the ring!!

^ DOUBLE POST ALERT! Please delete, thank you. :)

-> As far as LamPorKoenigg is concerned, we are still dead in the water. No news yet from PD as far as cars are concerned since SEMA. :indiff:

-> And yes, I would like to stack up the 997 Turbo and the 959 at Autumn Ring. :)

I think Porsches will be in. Kazunori wouldn't take the word "Porsche" in the mouth if there weren't chances to fulfill that. I can't wait to take 959, 997GT3 or any older LeMans Porsche prototype to ride.

Ferrari vs Porsche vs Lambo vs Pagani vs Keonigsegsegsegsegseg would be just epic. In fact I do not think I could handle how awesome it would be. Balancing GT and life's responsibilities would become difficult.

you think that you could handle evil arse-engined nazi sled that has laggy 530bhp?

Of course! (after numerous crashes)

Simple. If Porsches aren't, there is always RUF.
YES!
RUFs I think are better then porches in every way. But I would like to drive Porsche because of the badge and history they have.

By the way, I am too lazy to Google it. What RUF stands for?

Put both Ruf and Porsche, cause i want the Carrera GT and the Ruf CTR3
Plus all other beauties: 959, 911 Turbo 3.6,....(everything)
and please make them as they are, everybody knows Porsche have super brakes
but this was not the case in gt4, you had too brake too early in gt4 with the ruf's.
They probably did this on purpose cause they would destroy all other cars if not.

Simple. If Porsches aren't, there is always RUF.

Unfortunately, RUF doesn't carry the racing heritage of Porsche. Porsche is one of the biggest names in racing from club sport racing to Le Mans, by limiting yourself to RUF's you missing out on litterally dozens of great race cars. A big part of Gran Turismo these days is the Le Mans endurance cars. Porsche is the most successfull Le Mans team in history with 16 wins, a line up of Le Mans cars without porsche simply doesn't seem right. 917K shortail,962,GT1 all great cars which will never be in the game if we just have RUF, although they might be able to have the 962 road version through Dauer. Porsche also are a major contributor to the FIA GT series racing with the very popular GT3, also the GT2 also a competitor. RUF certainly have a right be in Gran Turismo as a prestigious Porsche tuning company who actually build their own cars from Porsche chassis I believe, but simply saying 'we have RUF its fine, we don't need Porsche now' doesn't really cut it.

Agree 100%! Aside from Ferrari, Porsche's racing heritage is unmatched by any other modern marque. They've won just about everything they entered in whether it was Le Mans, Daytona, rallies, or hillclimbs, etc.

As a side note, I can't believe that after 18 pages, there are still forum members who think that having Ruf would suffice...

To me, GT without Porsche just doesn't feel right because the sound of a Porsche engine is too awesome to be left out.

As a huge racing car fan, i really hope they're in. Porsche's deal with EA doesn't seen to be that exclusive these days, seeing it how little they have been using it.

In older games, because of the deal, licensing a Porsche model was just too expensive, not to mention the fact that the RUF models might had an impact in the Porsche-PD relationship.

But one thing is right: just like with the tracks and features, PD wouldn't show everything in the Prologue. I think we will have a few surprises when GT5 finnaly realeases. 👍

-> I bet that PD is on a relentless pursuit of including Porsche in GT. It was just impossible few years ago with EA getting involved too much. And since Ferrari and Maserati just joined the bandwagon, I believe LamPorKoenigg would be next in the most obvious way.

Ruf-> What I like about Ruf, its the closest experience towards genuine Porsche. And they were almost a nobody before GT3.

Porsche-> Besides its rich racing history (which I don't really care much, because they are too many of them), there are certain significant cars that a lot of people oogle with. May I say, 917, 930, 356, 550, and my most beloved Porsche, the 959.

-> If PD is still unable to attain Porsche, there are others with likes of Rauh-Welt, Gemballa, and Dauer. ;)

I think the game is ready, but those guys are having too much fun with duelling Ferrari - Porsche and Lambo they did'nt send the game too production yet :):indiff::grumpy:

If Porsche were to be in GT5, they would already have given us a little taste in GT5P. In my opinion there is very very little hope for Porsche to be involved in this project.

Just an opinion, if you don´t like it..... I have others..... ;-)

It seems that they will not give us a taste of anything until GT5. Past four months without an update, trailer, screenshot or only a word, that's just bad.

I wouldn't take the fact that we haven't seen a screenshot as a bad sign. PD kept ferrari under wraps for quite some time, it was only just before the release of GT that we saw screenshots of the 599 at eiger. We haven't seen any screenshots of GT5 yet so it stands to reason that we wont have seen any screenshots of prosches if they are included. I like to think along the lines of PD are keeping Porsche a surprise for us and that they will be in the game. Its not the first time PD have purposefully kept things tightly under wraps.

I do hope Porsche are in GT5, I would really like to race some of their old Le Mans cars. And as people have pointed out RUF cannot provide that, but atleast its the closest we shall get if Porsche aren't avaliable.

Why keep Porsche a secret, it would be a huge selling point ! That just seems inlogical

Same reason the kept Ferrari a secret, to surprise us(maybe). Its not a surprise if we already know;)

The point is that Ferrari wasn't unveiled until shortly before the launch of the demo, for maximum effect, and that PD may be holding off on Porsche until right before the release of GT5 so that there is more excitement at the time of the launch translating to more PR and more sales. Why is this so hard to understand? If PD were to spill the beans on whatever they might be saving for GT5 now, it'll be old news by the time the game comes out.

You´re talking about the HD-demo aren´t you and why ? We are talking about Prologue and the final game GT5. Ferrari wasn´t a surprise for the Prologue, it had been reveiled long aheard.

Alot of people are fed up with PD and their lack on info and endlessly waiting for the final game. Wouldn´t be logical and smart thing, from a marketing point of view, to lack some info on Porsche is present in the game or not. I´m almost one hundred procent sure that Porsche and Lambo aren´t gonna be a part of the game or else we would have heard about it.

If you know a little about stratigic and marketing you would know withholding info like this, isn´t smart. Sometimes I think some of you people in here live in a dream world.

Since when was this about prologue? The thread title says "Will Porsches be in GT5?" as in the final game. As that along with your question:

Hmm I don´t get you... Ferrari is already in GT5P, so where is the surprise ?

Both he and I weren't reffering to GT5P, we were reffering to GTHD, using that as an example of how there was no hints of Ferrari being in GT until the trailer came out showing the 599. Thats an example of what they may be doing with Porsche.

Again, you didn't hear about ferrari be included in GT until the GTHD trailer, did you?

Because we aren't as upset as you and most people are about GT and the lack of Porsche and Lamboghini?

Just one simpel question, how many years will there be between HD and the final game GT5 ? 2 years ?

They had to reveil it at some point and the demo was a good reason and that was only with one Ferrari(599). We know how long it takes to model cars for GT5 so they must have begun modelling Porsche for the GT5, that if they are to be in the final game.

Don´t get your hopes up, not one logical reason for PD to wait with the announcement. One last question, is it better or worse for the PS3 and GT5 sales if we know Porsche will be included ?

Well I hope I´m wrong ;-)

Who knows? Your guess is as good as mine.

Who exactly has gotten their hopes up here? I don't remember indicating I do, only stating an example. Also, I wouldn't know too much about sales and quite frankly don't care(despite noticing GT5P flying off shelfs on its first day of release). I don't buy games based on sales, I buy games based on what suits me.
