Have you seen the 24h of Nurburgring videos in GT-TV? There was racing Porsches with GT logotypes!

May be one off the big surprises at E3 2009 might be the introduction of porsche, lamborgini and other manufacturers that never made it to the GT series. Since PD/KY is so quiet and secretive about whats goin on at this present time, I am not speculating but I think they are up to something that will blow our minds away where PORSCHE is concerned. Besides the 911 is famous or was famous and is still famous for setting records on the nurburing track and what better racing sim to display the true performance of a porsche on the nurburing track than GT5 dispite thebig grudge against the nissan GTR for beating the 911 on the RING .

Forget driving the 'Ring! I won't stop driving Le Mans in the 908, 917, 956, 961, 962 , 911 GT1s, 911 GT2 Evo's etc.

Although I couldn't forget the spiritual home of Porsche. I'm so excited at the prospect of driving the Yellowbird round the 'Ring with cockpit view.

The real test would be a Porsche on the Ring and with the weather rumer on the front page.

Could you imagine 16 911's on a wet nurberg ring online!!!!

Nissan and PD have a long and strong relationship. The GTR will be the flagship vehicle of GT5.. what better coup for Nissan than to pay PD for porsche, its #1 and very open performance rival, not to appear in the game. Hefty price for that right ?? Given how serious Nissan take this Porsche v GTR battle it wouldnt be unheard of in the world of Corporate politics... a couple hundred thousand ? Havnt Nissan already spent that on buying a Porsche that travelled everywhere the GTR did so they could do their comparative analysis ?..
Isnt this just a wacky conspiracy theory I hear you ask ? Yes.. yes it is.

*Disclaimer - This is based on zero facts .... much like most of this thread actually :)

Actually it would be better for Nissan to pay PD for Porsche to be IN the game - if the GTR truly does beat the 911...

I would love to see Manthey Racing in the game. Not only did they sweep the top 3 podiums in the 24h Nurburgring last year, but they've also won it in 2007 and 2006 as well.

I haven't seen a Skyline do that...

New GT-R isn't a Skyline anymore, remember? and recently, GT-R has been very victorious in various events. it did win One Lap of America by 205 points, and Targa Tasmania by 6 minute difference.. and both times it was going against cars like 996/997GT2, Gallardo SuperLeggera, Ultima GTR etc etc.. and won. :sly: It didn't do too well on it's first outing on GT1 class at Silverstone, but it is a new car after all.

That's nothing to brag about when that race has a mix of Factory support & teams on their own on a track where the factories have the upper hand. Notice the people who have won the last 6 years. All factory support. BMW Team won it 2004 & 2005. Manthey won it the last 3 years, also with factory support. In 2003, Opel cars won, also due to factory backing.

I'm not discounting the GT-R's other victories, I just wish Nissan would put them up against international competition (i.e. 24h of Nurburgring, 24H of Le Mans, Sebring, Spa, ALMS GT2, etc.).

I'm just saying that MR's 911s would be an awesome addition considering it's won in an environment where PD's baby hasn't.

By the way, 996 TTs won the One Lap of America from 2004-07. Besides, you're not really comparing that to the 24h of the Nurburgring are you?

Anyway, I'd love to see the R35 mix it up against the ALMS GT2 field. I'd love to see how the GT-R really stacks up.

I never said I was. I am saying however that it's nothing to use as an example of Porsche's Motorsport history or to brag about Manthey Porsche winning the 'Ring 3 times in a row. That race is a Factory Team's Race.

Factory Teams have dominated the Nurburgring 24 Hours in the last decade, and the only people who were able to disappoint them were the Zakspeed Vipers. Since the Viper's death, the factories have returned to podium year after year after year.

Hi guys,
I've posted an idea (guess what...) on ideas.gtplanet.net, It's now 1st ranked at the most wanted cars chart, and someone posted a comment : "I know officially that porsche will be in gran turismo 5." his nickname is pierre-jeanmanfreo. I don't know who he is, and how he can affirm that.
Here is the link:
http://ideas.gtplanet.net/pages/5937-most-wanted-cars/suggestions/84702-porsche-cars
But after reading this I began to imagine the best scenarios... imagine... you're in a Carrera GT on the starting grid of the nordschleife and you're waiting for the 356 gets two minutes in front of you... and here we go the pursuit begins... Whatever, I'm just dreaming.:dopey:
I asked him how does he know that; I still wait for the answer...
What do you thing about this man who affirm such things?

Unless he has connections to PD(that we know of), I'm finding it very hard to believe him.

Have you checked out his recent posts? If he's got a lot of posts about speculations about GT5 that has been confirmed true, then aurelio is on to something...... but if this guy dosent have a background as interesting as Amar212, who seems to have a real connection or something like that inside of PD, then i wouldnt trust this guy....

If Porsche is not in the game I would hope to see other companies other than RUF. I hope RUF is still in it but I also hope TechArt and Gemballa are also in the game.

I do not see any reason to not include Porsche unless they can not get the rights. If they are able to why not have them? Porsche is one of the biggest sports car manufacturers there is and if GTP is suppose to be a racing game why not include a company that has everything to do with racing.

It's funny that GT5P has one of the best car models out there, both outside and in, as well best graphics for any racing game, not to mention it has really good SIM physics compared to iRacing. Yet Porsche is not allowed in GT5? I bet PD would love to have them, but its all up to Porsche. You know everyone plays GT5 from kids to ADULTS, heck, with so good physics you can test drive the car before buying it, also see how it looks inside, its good marketing for Porsche.. It would be so dumb from them not to give PD a GO!
