Have you seen the 24h of Nurburgring videos in GT-TV? There was racing Porsches with GT logotypes!
GT sponsored the event. All the cars had GT logo's on them.
I'm so excited at the prospect of driving the Yellowbird round the 'Ring with cockpit view.
Nissan and PD have a long and strong relationship. The GTR will be the flagship vehicle of GT5.. what better coup for Nissan than to pay PD for porsche, its #1 and very open performance rival, not to appear in the game. Hefty price for that right ?? Given how serious Nissan take this Porsche v GTR battle it wouldnt be unheard of in the world of Corporate politics... a couple hundred thousand ? Havnt Nissan already spent that on buying a Porsche that travelled everywhere the GTR did so they could do their comparative analysis ?..
Isnt this just a wacky conspiracy theory I hear you ask ? Yes.. yes it is.
*Disclaimer - This is based on zero facts .... much like most of this thread actually
I would love to see Manthey Racing in the game. Not only did they sweep the top 3 podiums in the 24h Nurburgring last year, but they've also won it in 2007 and 2006 as well.
I haven't seen a Skyline do that...
That's nothing to brag about when that race has a mix of Factory support & teams on their own on a track where the factories have the upper hand. Notice the people who have won the last 6 years. All factory support. BMW Team won it 2004 & 2005. Manthey won it the last 3 years, also with factory support. In 2003, Opel cars won, also due to factory backing.I would love to see Manthey Racing in the game. Not only did they sweep the top 3 podiums in the 24h Nurburgring last year, but they've also won it in 2007 and 2006 as well.

I never said I was. I am saying however that it's nothing to use as an example of Porsche's Motorsport history or to brag about Manthey Porsche winning the 'Ring 3 times in a row. That race is a Factory Team's Race.I'm not discounting the GT-R's other victories, I just wish Nissan would put them up against international competition (i.e. 24h of Nurburgring, 24H of Le Mans, Sebring, Spa, ALMS GT2, etc.).
I'm just saying that MR's 911s would be an awesome addition considering it's won in an environment where PD's baby hasn't.
By the way, 996 TTs won the One Lap of America from 2004-07. Besides, you're not really comparing that to the 24h of the Nurburgring are you?
Anyway, I'd love to see the R35 mix it up against the ALMS GT2 field. I'd love to see how the GT-R really stacks up.
Hi guys,
I've posted an idea (guess what...) on ideas.gtplanet.net, It's now 1st ranked at the most wanted cars chart, and someone posted a comment : "I know officially that porsche will be in gran turismo 5." his nickname is pierre-jeanmanfreo. I don't know who he is, and how he can affirm that.
Here is the link:

But after reading this I began to imagine the best scenarios... imagine... you're in a Carrera GT on the starting grid of the nordschleife and you're waiting for the 356 gets two minutes in front of you... and here we go the pursuit begins... Whatever, I'm just dreaming.
I asked him how does he know that; I still wait for the answer...
What do you thing about this man who affirm such things?
