I have an idea. pd go to ruf tell them to get every car in the porsche line up, and badge them as ruf's(with the necessary upgrades) pd then buys the cars ruf have built as 1 off special put them in the game as ruf's. Then when they release the game, auction them off.

Disappointment? maybe.... but not huge. Does it really matter if a Porsche looking car zooms past you has a Porsche logo on it or a RuF logo? Doesnt bother me at all. This is nothing game shattering. No one is going to walk away from this and say "No Porsche, no GT for me". Like someone said above, Porsches lost, not ours.

The bright side is, unlike with past installments of GT, we'll have DLC. I can picture a nice Porsche-upgrade-package sold separately in a year or so (or whenever the alleged exclusive contract runs out), which will generate a new hype when GT5 sales threaten to slow down...
Here's hoping they really have a "all future upgrades included"-version of the game, like it was implied by some insiders...

So will RUF be in gt5? Ruf is a moodded type of porsche right? So could that mean that the carrera gt gemballa could be in gt5?

Not having Porsche in GT5 would not be that big of an issue if not for the fact that Porsche will be in (several) other games. PD has been working on GT5 for 5+ years now. You would think in that amount of time, they could have "made this happen" with Porsche. Not a huge disappointment, but certainly a big "fly in the ointment."

i wont mind the absence of porsches as much as long as they include more ruf models based on the 997, 997 turbo, and the new boxster and cayman
but i wouldve absolutely loved to tear up the ring in a 997 GT3 RSR, a 73 RS, or a 959

And to think this all has to do with corporate greed. Damage, Porsche, all this stuff. I swear if I get a job in a major automobile company I will either quit or get fired if I am asked to participate in this type of shinanigans. Not that it will do any good, but since I have some time on my hands, I am going to write a nasty letter to Porsche.

Well then, looks like it's very likely that I won't be buying a new copy of GT5. The only thing that will change that now is if they have Spa, weather & day/night. If they don't have those, I'll probably jump ship or buy it used down the line.

Will some of you ever grow the hell up? You act as if its the end of the world that Porsche may not likely (keyword: Likely) be in GT5. Seriously, first the "wtf, no news? im dissapointed" crap, now the "no porches? thats it, im getting forza3" crap. This gets so annoying and tiresome. Stop the idiotic whining for once. If you're getting Forza, then good for you. Stop announcing it as if everyone should care because its not gonna change anything. Shut up, take a deep breath and calm the hell down, your lives don't depend on this at all.

I don't agree with this "oh well we got Ruf" attitude. Although Ruf is welcome theres a part of me that wants stock Porches to drive as them and see how they handle, what can and can't outrun them and to race them against their rivals. You can't do that with a Ruf because Ruf aren't Porches. Don't get me wrong I'm not going to burn GT5 now but I'm not going to lie and say I'm not severely disappointed.

^So a car built mostly of Porsche chassis and other material isn't a Porsche? Sure it's not called a Porsche, but it's an enhanced Porsche of sorts.
