Ruf is a manufacturer. Sportec, Edo, & TechArt aren't.PD got RUF in with no problems, so I dont see why they cant get anyone else in.

It's not Porsche's decision, but if the licenses & trademarked names from Porsche belong to EA, you won't be seeing any Sportec 911's in Gran Turismo. So you're saying that it's Porsche's decision to let PD feature Sportec, Edo, & TechArt? What about EA?
More fuel for the fire...
If you can't see it... right behind KY's head...
I just sent an e-mail to EA, asking for more info.
With five more months, who knows what could happen!
Slightly off topic: They'll be able to add new car models that have appeared this summer.

And that's great, so keep it up. We've got nothing to loose, everything to gain (hopefully we will get some true information and finally the big Porsche speculation will come to an end).Man...you never give up, do ya?
👍

The only problem with that is that Porsches were featured in NFS even before that, since the first NFS in 1994. Though maybe Porsche unleashed was the current licensing deal, which may be like the one you described.Assuming the EA-Porsche deal was a 10 year exclusivity, that would make the expiration date 2009... right? Also, Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed was released almost 10 years ago, on March 24, 2000. Assuming GT's release date is in March 2010, i'd bet it's not just a coincidence that Poly is releasing GT in March, exactly 10 years the first NFS featuring Porsche was released.

Dear Sir,
Licensing the Porsche brand to Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 video game franchise is a fantastic opportunity not only for Porsche, but also for car and Porsche enthusiasts to experience the next best thing to owning one.
By licensing, you will be able to promote to adults and children:-
* The Porsche brand.
* A variety of vehicles on offer by Porsche.
* The handling, sound, look, texture and build quality of each & every car.
This opportunity can not only help Porsche to sell more vehicles (a clear motivator) but to also make more people aware of the vehicles on offer. Mercedes, Ferrari, Citroen have all liaised and worked with Kazunori Yamauchi at Polyphony Digital to bring their cars to the Gran Turismo franchise. Not everyone can own a Porsche, but there are millions of people who would love to own a Porsche. Someone has to win the lottery - and when they do - would you want them to buy a Ferrari?
You have a responsibility to make people want to buy Porsche. Licensing exclusively with Electronic Arts and the 'Need for Speed' franchise might at first appear to be a fantastic proposition and financially lucrative, but the truth of the matter is that everyone knows Gran Turismo. The Gran Turismo franchise has sold over 50 Million copies worldwide, featured on TV shows such as "Top Gear" and the latest installment of GT seeks to promote car magazines and TV programmes via "Gran Turismo TV".
Review your agreements for exclusivity. Sign with Polyphony Digital and bring the joy of driving a Porsche to millions of people.
Sincerely,
Lord Von PS3.
Quite a nice read. Thank you for that.

I wouldn't try. Piech doesn't have complete control yet, and probably has several other issues to look at than where one of his brands sits in the video game industry. Also want to sent to Ferdinand Piech at VW, seeing as they've just bought Porsche. No luck with finding an e-mail address yet though.
