Why not? It is cool! But even if you don't like the Tornado, GEMBALLA has also other Supercars! watch the pics :)

Ugh, call me a hater but those Gemballas are way too "much".

The RUFs, The RUFs

The RUFs are on fire.

Can we just stop , Porsche is right now swimming in MS and EA money. We will never see Porsche in GT5. But I'm happy with the roster especially with electirc cars adn tesla. It shows that PD has visions of the future unlike forza which still uses cars that consumes gas.

whats wrong with that??

The car in your photo is not a Toyota. It is a Lexus SC430.
Lexus are Toyota. The car in your pic is known as a Soarer under the Toyota name.
The SuperGT car in your pic is a Lexus SC430 and thats not the one in the pic above. So i dont get your point.
The car in post 1451 is a Toyota Soarer of some variant, whether it be a SuperGT car (which it most likely is) or something else. It's definitely not a Porsche, though.

Come on guys, that isn't that bad! I kind of like it, in fact! And i'm old and grumpy, and don't like many things!:sly:

Thank you. The Cayenne model looks amazing in my opinion. I would kill to own one of those in real life. Honestly, what's wrong with it?

Its not a SuperGT car because the SuperGT version (never mind the year) has different air intakes (one big in the front bumper for example and not a split one). Of course its not a Porsche, but its not the SC430/Soarer from the SuperGT, or at least i cant find any that looks like that..

All the SC430s in the Super GT are not the same. But yes, it is a Super GT. Besides the fact it closely resembles this one...

...the SuperGT is the only racing series that features a SC430 race car.

This one already looks a lot more like the one on the developer monitor.
Especially the spoiler and wings on the rear fender.

Someone thought it looked like a Porsche, why it is still continuing I don't know.

So what's the latest news, cause i'm to leazy too read the last 10 pages,
can we expect Porsche as a surprise addition?
Will it be only Ruf again? Will Ruf have some new models added?
Will another Porsche Tuner make it like Gemballa, 9ff or others?

Can someone tell me what to expect, or is it still like the last 5 years where
i gonna receive an answer that i need too wait till the game is out...

Thx,

MC

In a word, No.

No, Porsche has not been comfirmed in GT5.

No, there is no evidence to suggest Porsche will feature in GT5.

No, we do not no for sure if RUF will be in GT5 as we haven't seen the offical car list or any screenshots.

No, we don't know if RUF will feature any new models.

No, we don't know if any other Porsche tuners will feature in GT5.

Just to add, the appearence of RUF in GT5 is highly likely. Maybe it was a bad translation, but in this:

https://www.gtplanet.net/yamauchi-interview-reveals-more-on-gt5-development/#more-3837

Kaz says that the cars in GTPSP were not recycled models from previous games, but used the same models as those in GT5. This implies that most (if not all) of the cars in GTPSP will be in GT5. GTPSP is confirmed to have 2 RUFs. It is not confirmation by any means, but it is a strong likelihood.

I think its a bad translation. I cant see PSP's low polly models being used in GT5.

No, its GT5s high poly models adjusted to run on the PSP. Which means they probably modelled the cars to GT5s standard first.

Then they would have to had to de-scale them prior to implementing them into the game, which makes no sense. Personally, I think they just took the models from GT4 and adjusted them slightly, since both car lists are very similar and look to have similar polly counts.

Exactly.
If the PSP models are from GT5, that means we will basically have the same cars from GT4, with no updated models. 👎👎👎

"No, no, mama, that green colour is still red for me, no matter what you say!"

Yamauchi already said in one interview that he is proud to have GT5 car models as basis for PSP ones, so what's with your theory now? :)

NO

OK, this is how you model stuff for a game:

1/ create one extremely detailed model. Be it in nurbs, maya, whatever. This super-detail model will have 100,000,000 polys. It is millimeter accurate.
Yes, if Vegeta saw this model, he would crush so many scouters that he would turn around, look at how many scouters he's crushed, and then crush some more. He's become stuck in a loop, crushing things for the rest of time.

2/ Take your normal map from said extra-high-detail model.

3/ Simplify the model for the models the player is in.

4/ Make a texture for said simplified model

5/ apply normal map from step 2 to car model from step 3, and add in the texture for it from step 4. BAM you have your 200,000poly model with normal map and texture.

6/ simplify the model some more, and scale down the texture and normal map sizes.

7/ Assemble everything from step 6 and BAM you have your lower LOD car for when this vehicle is 100m away from the player.

8/ repeat step 6 to make an even lower detail, smaller-texture car. BAM you have a VERY low LOD car for when the car is on the other side of Daytona.

9/ etc

You'll see the result of step 5, 7, 8 and 9 in GT5.

You can see the result of step 8 and 9 in some cars in GTPSP, and 7, 8 and 9 for some cars like the Veyron and ZR1 and GTR in GT PSP.

GTPSP is confirmed to have 2 RUFs. It is not confirmation by any means, but it is a strong likelihood.
RUF models in GT PSP:

3400S '00
BTR '86
CTR "Yellow Bird" '87
CTR2 '96
RGT '00

And we know that we will be able to transfer cars from GT PSP to GT5 :)

I imagine he would also repeatidly utter a familiar phrase as he is continually crushing scouters :sly:

It's like this. We've been over this. Nine times out of ten, you give me a thousand good reasons on why these models are so good.
