if you ask me there wont be any visual damage at all, only mechanical. I just can't see gt's pretty cars suddenly dented and falling apart.

I dont even want to see those cars falling apart... most of the time i turn of damage anyway, because it is just part falling off and scratches on the car which just makes them look ugly anyway.

I hope it's just mechanical, and let us pray there will be dynamic weather effects! that means having to come in to the pit for different tires, which adds tactics to the game.

I'm hoping for an actual simulation mode. One with:

-Realistic Damage (If you crash hard enough or puncture the rad etc... your race is over)
-Gravel Traps that actually trap the car and end your race
-Tire wear
-Fuel Consumption
-Varying weather conditions
-Pit communication warning you of incoming weather

If this is to be the "Real Driving Simulator", all of these things are essential in my opinion.

Dream game on console , and of course an option to disable the boosty.

Of course! Boost should never have existed in the first place save for maybe amateur races.

Think about how cool it would be hearing from the pits that there are reports of rain in Spoon Curve, and when you get there, the rain is starting to move up the back stretch and cover the whole track, and you have to slow down to almost half your normal speed to make it through the turn. This is what this generation should be providing. I don't care about more detailed tail lights! :ouch:

Obviously the thing here is we are currently on a Prologue, all these features we feel missing will probably make the cut on the final version of GT5.

I don't wanna hear anyone shouting from the pits, that's not Gran Turismo's cup of tea I think (I don't like it in other games such as Formula One either, just sounds silly).. Better with a warning text somewhere on the screen or no warning at all.

I can not think of any real race where they don't have any sort of pit communication. GT is supposed to be the "real simulator", why would that not include pit crew chatter?

It’s all about options. Simply put, if someone turns the pit crew off, it won’t effect other drivers (except maybe that the uninformed drivers may crash without useful information).

These options should be available:

Pit Crew Voiceover: ON/OFF
HUD Pit Crew Info: ON/OFF

And please PD, add a paint shop to GT5:Full – I don’t like having to buy a new car to get a different color. Charge 5,000 Credits for a paint job for all I care!!

I think if PD implement all the on/off options we wanted it would be the most optioned game ever created. We might as well add an option to turn the on/off options on or off while we're at it. Why would you need pit crew chatter and what would they say? Stuff you already knew presumably, "you need some fuel" or "tires are lookin pretty bad". If we need to know the weather, PD can put clouds in the game maybe something like S.T.A.L.K.E.R did, have some lightning or thunder before the rain, maybe have clouds forming in the distance. Or even give us a few drops before a down pour....or just give us a down pour and let everyone deal with R3's in the wet for 1 lap.

Because crew chatter in game sucks.. Play Formula One or some **** if you wanna here that chatter... I can't see any reason of it being enjoyable to hear while racing! I can deal with it if it is an option that you can turn off as Driv300mph mentioned..

Exactly, I completely agree with you!

I hink we are allexpecting a little too much from this conference. Yeah there might be a lot of new things announced but dont get too excited as you never know whats going to happen.

The only thing I'm really hoping for is VISIBLE damage!

And day/night/weather changes...

If we do get night driving i hope they make the headlights work =)

And a switch to make it turn off and on..like in lemans when you come up on slower traffic and you blink your headlights to know your there..👍

I look forward to any news but I am not getting my hopes up just yet. I think damage and weather changes will come in time but I don't expect to see them for E3.

I wonder how damage would look through the in-car view, you hit a wall and the airbags explode in your face saying "Your race is OVER" haha.... =(

That would be cool, then you could turn them of on your AE86 when overtaking. Just like Takumi.:sly:

Id laugh if there wasn't even a single word about GT, esp after all this hype and people dying to hear about GT.

I thought the opening speeches are aimed more towards the future of the console than at one game (even if the game is has important has GT5). I expect to hear alot about Home and probably a bit about Blu-ray

Yeah, usually they show a video or something and maybe a mention of a couple new features. We should see GT5 in a compilation video, or if we're really lucky, a full length trailer.
