Here's a pic of my precious Paco, now that I have both a reasonably good camera on my phone, and now that I have memory that my computers can actually read (SD cards vs. XD).

A blurrier, but slightly cuter version.

Also, sorry that it's so dark, didn't notice it until later.

Soooooo.... Mishk'a been behaving perfectly lately, but since she's one to shed lots of hair, my stepdad is in hate mode with her. On the other hand, my stepdad has a Dachschund (sp?-sausage dog) who has bitten into not one but two different pairs of Merrel shoes (my favourites), which are abnormally expensive here (about $100 per pair), rendering them completely useless. But I can't be mad at the dog because it ins't his fault, says my stepdad.

I'm all against hurting dogs, but I just could. I came here with four pairs of Merrels. I'm down to one.

Oh my GOD, that is so CUTE!!! If I get a dog I want that, cutest thing ever. Alot of hair to brush though?

My pets:

A Chihuahua mix (I don't know the other breed). My uncle and I call her Chihuahua, my grandma calls her "morusa" (spanish for bread crumbs, its what the fur reminded her of). My little sister and my mom call her "Loca" Spanish for crazy just because of her active energy.
Just a few pics, here's the rest of my family pet pics: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.editAlbumPhotos&albumID=2437305

Here's my dog Suzie. Played round with a few photos of her because I'm actually really missing her here at uni. Shown here in natural summer mode so she's getting all the coolness of the spare bathroom floor in the back of the house (no, no-one hacked at her knees :P).

I got a few pictures of Jackson in the huge snow storm we had a few weeks ago. He's a 3 year old American Eskimo.

jacksonsnow1.jpg

he didn't really like going off the path into the snow, whenever he would...he looked like he was swimming in it. I shoveled him a nice maze for him to run around in though.

Nawww, its cute. I have never even heard of an American Eskimo, strange name of a breed that is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Eskimo_Dog

They're an offshoot of the Spitz breed, and look quite a bit like the German Spitz. Jackson isn't pure American Eskimo, but pretty close to it.

Originally the American Eskimos were used as circus dogs, which doesn't really surprise me, he is a pretty athletic dog and really impresses me sometimes. He can walk across several rooms on just his hind legs, and is too fast for me to ever catch if he doesn't want me to get him when he's on all fours.

He's a really fun, intelligent dog though, and by far the friendliest I've ever owned.

TB
What kind of Eskimo is that?!?

Usually he loves the snow, but it really scares him when it's deeper than the length of his legs.

Sheba, with almost 3 months old (presently, 2 years)

My son at the age of 8 months and Gaspar, who was quite interested in everything my kid was doing at the time.

My truly missed Emma, having a zen moment with my wife in the living room. This outstanding dog left us suddenly 2 years ago...

Again my son, then at the age of 4 and Gaspar (at the age of 6). Still good friends.

I like your Jackson. I posted a photo of my Jackson in this very thread about 4-½ years ago: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1924815&postcount=49

My Jackson is a Sheltie, and he'll turn 9 years old in June of this year. My username is a combination of some important initials and my favorite guy in the world. You can also click on Best Friend in my sig to see my Jackson.

It's amazing how good these dogs are with kids and people in general, and the bad rep they've amassed thanks to idiots who raise them for other purposes. Great dogs, bullie77!

Very nice pictures bullie77:)

English Bull Terriers are very similar to staffys so their excellent with kids and people in general naturally but can be aggressive to other dogs if not socialised or trained properly...

Thanks for your replies guys!

You're right about their natural behaviour towards kids and people. They are in fact very similar in that aspect to the Staffy (the "nanny-dog"). In fact there's something that not a lot of people are aware and that it as been distorted due to wrong hands where these dogs unfortunately fell into...

Our new(ish) dog Billy, he's a 10 month old lurcher but he takes more after his pops with his greyhound looks coming through. We recently lost our other dog Lucy so having him around has made it a bit easier on us.

As you can see in the last image are the ashes of our last three dogs and we are just waiting to bury these under out cherry tree.

This is lucy about 4 months before we had to have her put down due to old age, she was loosing her sight and also starting to get really bad with her arthritis and her mind too.

She was approximately 15/16 we didn't know her birthdate as she was a rescue dog.

Looks like a fantastic dog, The fact that he is named "Gaspar" rather than "Buster" or "Killer" shows that you are not one of these fools who just want to look tough.
Unfortunately, I have been involved in nearly five accidents in my lifetime with Bull Terrier-esque dogs. And I nearly lost my past dog due to an attack by one.
I'm glad that you seem to be renewing their reputation to a better one, which should hopefully sway the fools that (mostly) buy them.
