The Cooper in winter attack mode covered from the grim of battling the elements. I've washed it since yesterday when that was taken and of course it's snowed and the car is dirty again. At least I got some of the grim off.

Thats yours? Nice!
I still find it funny that i thought "ugh" the first time i saw the car, but the more i see it the more i love it (im glad they choosed it for the GT Academy). I already liked the Z33, but the Z34 is just classy without losing its sportscar look.
I always liked the 350Z, but it always kind of looked like a concept car to me. The 370Z is a nice evolution of that, and it was love at first sight. One of my co-workers commented that even when parked, it looks like it's going fast. There are a couple of unflattering angles, but for the most part, it's very photo-friendly :).

v6 :( which is fortunate really as its all i was allowed. still plenty noisy and awesome sounding though :D especially the other day when the pipe came out the silencer :scared:

Cheers HFS. Been out a few times to the same place. A pretty much deserted industrial estate with a constant curve. Once you get a feel for it the Mx is great fun in the snow and much easier to drive/drift than my 330 is. It does have no traction whatsoever as I found out last week driving home in the really heavy snow.

Yeah, traction is quite low, though I suspect I have a little more than you do as I've got 195 section tyres. Still, it's not unmanageable. Feel free to PM me with where that industrial estate is, if it snows again over the next couple of weeks I might head over there...

Pontiacs were sold in Europe?! :dunce:

No...someone imported it about 10 years ago (however it was made for export but lord knows where its been since 89!)
On that subject it tends to be cheaper buying a decent used car in America and shipping it over for less than buying an average used one already in the country. Its not down to the currency rate, it seems the perception of value differs! Although its mostly project stock cars brought over, on the odd occasion a polished rod or custom might be imported, and they always stick out at shows because the style is so different.

Yes, Pontiacs were sold in Europe..
I really don't see how the Europeans liked them.
Sloppy handling, huge in comparison to most Euro cars, and gas mileage that would get most Americans broke with the price of Euro gas.

And it would be considered an Import which seems odd to us that make the cars. lol
Sweet deal though Stumpy. Enjoy the ride and you thought about what your next ride is going to be or what you want? Just curious to get a different perspective from the other side of the world. 👍

well, some liked to have cool cars :D it makes for a good mix at shows and there is like a counter culture that insists on homegrown hopping up british tin only so amongst the big stuff are awesome little anglias and fat morris minors
i quite like the handling, i wouldnt call it sloppy, it goes where i point and i feel in control although imo the power steering does a bit too much and i wouldnt mind if it was a bit heavier. I might consider it sloppy if i pushed it more, but i don't hoon it about like a chav, besides there's not much room for me to find out! i wouldnt be too popular  i get enough disrespect from idiot motorists just having it lol :) as for the gas, 59l capacity - £65 ($105) to fill up from empty! 15mpg around town, 30mpg on the motorway so not all bad, and iv restricted my mileage for my own sake!
I did set a target to get my first V8 by the time I'm 24, a 32 ford rod would be ideal but they go for a fair bit.still possible though, if my dad gets his land rover special together :D thinking about something british next, like a mk1 capri perhaps. another plan was to have a real mini, there is one in our barn but its needing a flip front and a clean up..

Had starting issues yesterday with the wagon so I had to give it a run out in the snow and give the battery a chance to charge up.

This is the longest we've had decent snow since I've been driving. I love it although it appears pretty much everyone else doesn't.

I think it's the same about everywhere in the northern hemisphere above a certain latitude. We got snow'd, and it won't go away.

With our massively changeable weather we only usually get any for a few days before it melts but we've had this for nearly 3 weeks now. It's great.

Few shots of my car in the rare snowy conditions. Cant get any cool powerslide action shots in FF car, just ridiculous understeer or low speed handbrake turns

The 4 point cracks me up...Mostly because with the way you have that in there it is more dangerous than the stock belt. Mounting to a lower point behind the driver versus a cage increases the risk of spinal compression if you are in an accident. Further, if you roll it, your body wouldn't lean out of the way of the roof as it gets pushed in...

That and I doubt you'll be encountering extreme G forces...

I'm stupid balkan and i mount the belt on factory mounts like they mount it on circuit racing in Yugo class.
Also,I've also read the forums where all people are smart with putting belts with smaller angle than this, and guess what...
Most of them never actually had that kind of harness, they just like to be smart on the internet. It's 3 point btw.

And about G forces, since you haven't tried the car i will leave you struggling with your doubts so you can't sleep at night worrying about me,my seatbelt and my car.

Stupid Balkan.

You said it, not me...

As for mounting points, does not change the geometry of the mounting... you can do the physics behind it.

Well, I've had four-points in the past, in my old AW11. Plus I do racing where people build cars for track day stuff, so yes, I've actually done some real research and hands on stuff.

Three-Point to the rest of the world...

Now, most people tend to defend the points of the seat belt with these by how many belts meet in front of you. In this case, 4. 5 point would have the additional belt between the legs.

Sorry, I must be mistaken in assuming those snow tires have tons of dry grip. Or that the Yugo has profoundly well designed suspension from the factory. And brakes. My bad.

Stupid Balkan.

It is okay, I'll forgive your over sights.
