I tend to forget that this is a forum primarily for gamers.

He makes similar posts on car-specific message boards all across the internet and receives his due congratulations, but here he gets, "Proof?"

I'm sure if John Hennessey came and posted a thread about a new standing mile record in one of his company's Vipers, you'd all say, "That's cool and all, but how do we know you're the real John Hennessey? Please provide copies of last month's invoices with 'Hi GTPlanet' written on them! Also, pics of your breakfast with the Mona Lisa painted in jelly on your toast."

If someone does own the car they claim to, then it would be the work of 5 minutes to takes a picture as proof. If not, then they're breaking the rules of this forum.

Lastly, of course, it's awesome to see people with amazing cars on the forum, or it's just fun to see the excuses liars come up with.

Yep, cause I love being funny and any suggestion to the contrary is terribly detrimental to my self esteem.

Because people have been totally roasted for owning an M3 and several engines (I think that was the story with mPWRD), so now someone has come on with a gazillion hp Ford GT and no one bats an eyelid?

Oh, and if I properly didn't believe him, I'd put this in the ludicrous claim thread - but I'd just like some proof to confirm that this guy indeed owns one of the fastest road cars in the world (that isn't on proper drag radials). If someone were to sign up and post a shot of their Veyron, beside their Zonda Cinque Roadster and their Reventon, would you not think to ask them for proof? Or would you completely believe them and move on? I'd be suspicious, for sure, as I only have a Zonda F roadster - see? Here it is in the studio when my mate Bob was taking a few happy snaps:

Yeah, the clutch is quite heavy, so I only take it out on weekends, but it is an awesome car to drive when everything is right. I can't show you any more pics, cause its in the south of France, under a tarp. 👍

Sometime in my future I wanna buy a Miata tune it and play with it. What are the vents for turbos? or just air intakes for the engine ?

just picked up a 87 mercedes benz W201 (190e) 2.3 16v 'cosworth' really fun car drives like a car half its size

Good heavens everybody - please read my posts in future. I'm saying its an awesome car to have, but proof would be nice, because we get the people who make ludicrous claims. Its a bloody 1800hp Ford GT for cripe's sake!

As I said, in a post directed at you Horde, I said if I didn't believe him, I'd put it in the ludicrous claims thread, because it is quite a claim to make, but, seeing as I haven't, can you not draw some conclusion from that?

Actually... I don't believe you own that thing. You live in Finland, your weather is worse than ours, and yet there's not a single 240 that clean anywhere within 500 miles.

Nah, I kid. It's still original paint though isn't it? I know you've done a lot of trim work and so on but still... It's been taken good care of through its life.

Thanks man. Ive been meaning to lift the lids to match the hood but its such an easy fix that im lazy about it haha.. About the vents, it could be used for both. I picked up the car a little over a year ago and so far its been pretty fun.

Far from serious, and I know it's not quite perfect from talking to him, but it's as close to perfect as one can expect 20+ year old car to be without a restoration.
