Very lucky to have that, it's my favorite Evolution, and yours is customized nicely ;).

My 'Ringtool.

Very beautiful MR2.

:) I do what I can!

106,000 miles now and still goin strong

V6 or 4cyl?

Either way, done the airbox mod yet? It might not add much, if any power but the sound is worth the time and then some. Seemed to get a bit better fuel econ out of both our 6s (had an '05, now have '08, both 4cyl/ATX) after the mod but may have been placebo.

4 cyl. No mods... I got the car when I was finishing high school. So at that point, and through college, I didn't have the extra money to do much more than pay for the car and a bit of gas.

Now that I have the money I'm kinda on the fence putting money into it other than general upkeep. My commute beats the hell out of it every day.

Airbox mod is 100% free... All you do is pull a few things out of the airbox (they clip in/out) and if you want remove the intake resonator (3 bolts but a bit difficult to get to).

I've found 6crew to be a pretty cool bunch of guys and a very helpful resource for pretty much everything, down to getting better prices on replacement wear parts.

Ah, thanks for the tip. I'll give that link a look 👍

Might as well chuck my pride and joy up.

Below is a few pics from its last photo shoot.

Not updated my stuff in a while.
I added a Smart Brabus Xclusive Roadster-Coupé to my garage

I also got rid off the 300ZX TwinTurbo and got an Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage instead.

But that was only an V12 itch to scratch. I really wanted a Nissan GT-R to replace both the Exige and Aston. But the Euro models had no end of issues – new engines needed – overheating transmissions and inadequate brakes.

So I sold the Exige and Aston and got a 997 4S

UPDATE!

Couldn't resist buying this at the weekend.

It's exactly the same as the one I had in the eighties. This pic on the Isle of Skye ferry is from 1985

Really pleased to have a Matra in my collection again.

Which is the best of my seven cars? Depends what you need it for.

The 997 is the most competent...

but the Brabus Xclusive makes me smile most!

The supercharged Exige Cup was too limited – great for the track, but 4-point belts and no rear / 3/4 vision made road use a nightmare.

If I got another Lotus, it would probably be a supercharged Elise with air con – but the Smart Roadster-coupé is far more versatile.

The wheels need to be wider. They're dwarfed in the wheel arches.

I had run spacers with the stock wheels, and someone decided to steal my stock wheels/spacers one night I left it outside the shop. Which was fabulous to say the least. 👎 Luckily I got another set for dirt cheap. S13/S14 guys who run 5-lug like the OE G35 19's, baller look and cheap if you need to clear big brake kits...

Yea I know the look is tragic, but LA streets just don't cater to running baller wheels. Example of what happened to my Fiske FM10's. Just going to fix them and sell them now...

On a brighter note. S13 RB drag car project now in the works :) Chassis was dirt cheap, could not pass it up. Have 2 RB25's sitting waiting, has R32 rear subframe/4.11 mechanical differential/axles, solid subframe collars, HICAS delete bar, firewall & trans tunnel modified for Chevy transmission 👍, blah blah blah already. More pics tomorrow, for now some cage action I shot with my cell phone....

Going to try and strip down the one RB I know isn't full of water and get it prepped to machine next week.
