Fun car though. A lot of fun. I kind of miss mine. Have you had any issues with the infamous pre-cat on the 1ZZ-FED?

We had the pre-cats out within four days of buying the car. :)

When we first bought her she smelled a bit oily and smoked a bit on start-up, but since changing to 5-30w oil the smoking has stopped, the smell has gone, and after a recent 2,500 mile trip to the South of France we only needed to top up 200ml of oil. She burns a little, but nothing like the litre every 1,000 miles some people have.

Fresh from the car wash:

Mine's the Tacoma.

2008 Acura TL-Type S. 286hp, 5sp auto with paddle shifters, brembo brakes, quad exhaust. Fun family car.

Not the actual photo of the car, but same exact one. '92 Honda Accord. His car is waaaay shinier. Mine's missing a few spots of clear coat here and there... Anyone know a good alternative to getting the car re-painted?

Buy another car with a better paintjob?

Well, at the moment saving up for a new car. I just wanted to know if there was a temporary yet cheap fix for the clear coat. If there isn't an alternative, I'll just stick with it. Seeing as though in December the new VW R20 comes out... I won't have enough money for that. So still indecisive about what kinda car I want.

There is a cheap trick for old cars.
Grind the rest of the clear coat off and make a matte finish (grind with sandpaper 2000 and wet). It won't be a 10 min job and it will look worse in a few years (matte paint is a female dog)

Just got this yesterday! My first car. ^_^ 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback (used to be my uncle's). An old picture I have of it from earlier this year...

Nice first car. Must go quite well. Well, compared to my first car.

I drove it today to work and boy...was it bad. 157k miles, whole car vibrates at idle, steering locked on me, every time the automatic gearbox changes it hits you in the back, and the fuel gauge likes to second guess itself. However, there's something about it I like...

This is my first car that i bought back in 1999. it was in very bad condition, i repaired the body and changed the lazy 1300 to 2.0 OHC.
been driving it from these days, well.. not at winters any more.

It's exactly the same as the one I had in the eighties. This pic on the Isle of Skye ferry is from 1985

Which is the best of my seven cars? Depends what you need it for.

The 997 is the most competent...

but the Brabus Xclusive makes me smile most!

Added No. 8 :D

Renaultsport Clio with Cup chassis.

200 bhp. Naturally aspirated engine is gutsy and willing – and revs to 7,500. Fantastic steering (mine is lowered further than the Cup chassis, with sports springs and 20 mm spacers). The Brembo brakes are fantastic. Amazing car!

A german car tester said that if Porsche bult a hot hatch, it would be like this. I agree – it is a worthy stablemate for my 997

Check out how the Clio RS affects this initially quite sober car tester by the end of the drive :D
