Since I decided not to modify my Beetle for track use, I decided to get something else for the purpose. So into the fleet comes a '97 model Z3 with the 2.8 engine still in fantastic condition. It should provide me with everything I need for the 2 - 3 track days and sits nicely next to the 330i and Bug ... :-). The wheels are after market 18s ...I got them fitted almost immediately after getting the car. They have transformed the car ...

Well, I tried for a year to live without one after I sold mine, but I couldn't.

This was what I had left. Six cars should be enough for anyone - but it wasn't:

I'd sold my 997 4S

I wanted to get a series one 4.2 litre Jaguar E-type, but all the ones I tried were just not worth the money, IMO.

I decided that a modern Porsche was nicer - and if I keep it long enough it will become a classic too! :)

So now I've got a 997 gen. 2 Targa 4S. Love it!

@speedyK ....amazing collection ...very good choices. I have three now but am working towards 5. Can I ask where you keep them all? Are some left outside "in the cold". What about maintenance ...do you wash them all over weekends?

It's more or less a coincidence I have so many econoboxes.. Or is it?

I just spent a better part of the hour shopping my picture of the pickup from the '90s to make it look like it did around 2000. This was it's prime.

I made the necessary changes in the picture as best I could with my limited editing skills.

From this:

To this.

The bottom one is what it used to look like before it rusted. I don't have a developed picture of that configuration.

Wow, I adore those oldschool VW's! & those first few cars posted by speedyK . Stuff I never, ever, ever see here.

I recently bought this, it was white but I painted it & put on the dixie horn. It has a brand new Edelbrock carb and air intake, %80 tread on 32" Baja A/T Tires, new battery, %99 rust free, 360 Small block Mopar. It was an SUV but the top was chopped and roll bars and a diamond plated bed where added.

Only paid 700 for it too!

Are you saying you've owned all the cars in the photos, or those models?

These are my currently owned cars yeah :)
Thanks atonisbob.

That is a very unusual collection - you obviously like hatchbacks :D

I don't like seeing good cars fall into the wrong hands and being run into the ground, so I try keep them until someone else can watch em I guess.. :) Hatchbacks (as you know with the Clio) can be a lot of fun too, with one wheel in each corner and low weight..!

Paint looks like it came out pretty good. I would have left the grill chrome though with the black around the headlights. You should get some videos of it running.

The Clio RS is a replacement for my Peugeot 106 GTI (bought it new in 1998 and just sold it last month). That was certainly great fun. I got second fastest in a Snow and Ice event (timed laps).

and my daughter loved it too - here she's on a driving course

But I had even more fun in my old 997 4S - it may be 4wd, but you can still hang the tail out like a rwd car:

My daughter thought the 106 was irreplaceable , but loves the Clio even more now!

Could we see more the Lancia and especially the MGC? Especially the MGC, love the car and your teasing me with the cover over it. :P

Everyone has to have a 1st.. 1998 Honda Civic EX, brought for less than $1000.

Taken about 1 year ago, hood and roof are incredibly faded now in this Arizona weather.(The roof's almost grey now!) My dad originally brought it to have another vehicle to take long trips in, but it only had 1 long trip (the drive over to my city) after it had some tranny problems. Now he's decided to give it to me. I'm currently fighting the urge to fall under a certain automotive stereotype..

speedyk is legit. I remember him proving his cars with a pic of his old exige cup car way back.

btw, Krypton Green ftw!

Thanks guys! 👍

For Downhill Dino

The Lancia is still in its original paint

Nice collection. That's a dream garage right there.

Do you live in the USA? ( on mobile app so I can't see)

Wow. Both the Lancia and that view are stunning! And so is the MGC, very nice of you too include it's rebuilding stage. 👍 What wheels are those? Factory?

Revos are awesome. Got a set of four-spokes laying around myself.. :)

I think questioning and having to prove that you own cars is ridiculous. Especially on this site there seems to be a huge policy for it. Some people have nice cars, get over it. If it ain't theirs, well, that's their loss and not anyone else's.

And many people like to pose as well.

Yeah, SpeedyK you've got quite the collection there. 👍
It's always fun to see a few grown folks on the GTP (not that being young is a problem either, after 10 years here I'm starting to feel I've been both). :P

Very cool cars.
And Dcybertron,
Grats on the first car.
Be responsible and treat it right.

I've posted here before and don't feel the need to do it again since I'm in the same car still (though I will admit every time I get in for a drive I feel lucky to own it and feel like it's a new car). :sly:

Can we be best friends? I wanna be best friends.
But seriously, awesome collection. Every one of those is something I would love to have, let alone having all of them at once. Your garage itself looks pretty fantastic, as well. 👍

Anyway, from my smaller collection of 1, I took a detour on the way home from work today, down a road I normally enjoy driving on. Noticed a small entrance to another road that I'd always assumed was a driveway. It opens up after you pull into it. Nothing but winding, pot-hole free road for about a mile before you hit any driveways, and there's only a few back there. So almost no traffic, and only one corner is a blind one, makes for some fun driving, and a very pretty view with the right light:

And just for the fun of it; canceling out every color channel but blue:

If it snows heavily enough this year, this is going to be my first choice for getting a picture of her in the snow. Only I'll actually remember to bring my DSLR with me.

Also, I peeled the Plasti Dip off of there a few weeks ago. The "black rims" thing was cool at first, and all, but with the tint the silver rims look a lot better.
