Got some good work done on it during the last week 👍 Welded in brackets to hold the battery, fabricated and welded in brackets to blot the windows in, got the VSS working so the speedo works and so does VTEC

Hopefully should have it on the strip within a month or so. Race a few times N/A and then it's time for turbo drag :mischievous:

Ghost C
Drag?

Why not Autocross, Time Attack, or wheel-to-wheel it?

Because that's what I want to do.

I simply cannot afford circuit racing in comparison to drag racing.

Besides, there's some discrepencies with the rollcage paperwork that will be a real ***** to sort out in order to get it circuit legal.

Nice Civic there. Bit too yellow for me, but yeah...I notice your car has a different stud pattern to normal civics, (4*100?). I'm guessing, from your wheels, taht you've got some Mazda bits in there. Bigger brakes or what? Oh, and nice interior.

Lookin' great dude!

Make sure you keep us posted with times and stuff. It'll be good to follow your progress. 👍

Also, do you know any people with drag racing experience that will be able to give you some advice and a helping hand? :sly:

The hubs and brake discs have been redrilled to 5 stud. It's a little bit dodgy but should I be unhappy about them I'll make my own hubs at work.

That ****ty civic could probably run rings around whatever you drive at a track. If you actually raced your car, you'd know how how power to weight worked.

Oh no, wait, it's set up for straight line action...

i could see those three posts coming from a mile off!
if any of you took the time to read... (all in good fun.)
it was a joke, and for your information prodriver drives a red wrx, but you could've found that out by searching previous posts by him.

Granted, it was a joke. But yeah, doesn't really matter. If it is your car, and you build it up for a specific purpose, having a jokester come along and call your car sh##ty isn't really on, wrx or no wrx. Ha ha, your car is a piece of garbage and i don't know why you'd want it. Just kidding!

And what exactly was the point of that post anyways?

this is what he meant to say.
just the kid inside of him looks like it took control

Slidesquad#1 i can see your point, but in the end its just a joke.
if you were standing right next to a guy who said 'omg what a sh##ty civic!'
followed by 'just kiddin man' would you knock him out?

If some random dude came up to me and said my car was trash and then said he was kidding, I'd still be pissed at the fact that the guy is an idiot. Jokers aren't always funny...

If a good friend said that to me it would be fine. It's a matter of context. Even with all the smilies in the world, if you write something on this thread anyone can take it in different ways.

When I posted my ride, people said it was a cool car. That's what this is all about. If you're proud of it, show it. Hecklers should keep their jokes to themselves.

I've already posted this in the what car do you drive thread but I guess I'll post it here too.

My grandpa is letting me drive his truck while I look for a car of my own, I've been driving it since about last August (beginning of school).

And here are some pics:

He (I call him Ole Blue, Blue, or Blue Bonnet) needs a bath.

I wish. I had trouble with the old carb, especially when it was cold, so I got my grandpa to take it somewhere and they put an automatic choke one on, then for a couple of days the choke wasn't dissengaging and the truck would idle really high all the time. I finally got tired of it and went outside and messed with some screws and linkage cables on the carb and it's running fine now.

Other than that one problem though, it's a really cool truck. It's really lightweight too so I don't even have to punch the gas for it to get up and go. I think if I ever did punch it (and I haven't punched it to the floor yet, I'm still too scared I'll blow the tranny or engine) it would go like a bat out of hell. I know if I just barely put my foot in it the truck will do about 45 or 50 easy, it's really a good sleeper.
