You have been doing a great job with all these requests and I, like everyone else here appreciate it, but instead of giving me free fish can you teach me a little about fishing?
I know the basics of what camber, toe, brakebalance, spring rates, shocks, etc. are, but since I am not a mechanic or a major racing enthusiast w/ real life experience I don't really know how the high speed physics of a car are affected by them exactly.
Specifically could you give some insight on spring rates and how their proper settings are determined? Also adjusting the shock settings(both bound and rebound) are a bit hit or miss (i think mostly miss) for me based on the weak information gt4 provides and now I just leave them at default no matter what. I know what camber is and pretty succesfully apply it in my tuning schemes but could you tell me why some of the cars you tune have like 1f 0r and others go to 6f5r (by the way do such high camber settings affect tire endurance during races in gt4?) Could you talk a little bit about what you look for when test driving a car in determining the lsd settings? Lastly, this might be a stupid question, but are the asm/tcs settings artificial helpers created by pd or are they actually used in real life?
I know that is a lot of info to cover, but maybe it wil ease your tuning load.
Thanks a bunch,
Max
