TRy to find my steering wheel.

That makes me sad...

Wish I had thought of that.
I used a TV dinner table for ages, which would flop all over the place... now I use a work bench that is height adjustable ($30), but I still utilize the couch and floor as do you.

Yeah my insane set-up... yes thats an xbox controller im using my ps3. laptop right next to my tv so i can browse gtplanet during loading screens.

This is my desk as clean as its been in a while. you can imagine what its like normally

Wow some of you guys are very creative in a good way lol. Ironing board was my fav. The guy with the 3 screens and 3 ps3:eek:

BTW off topic question. So any of the wheels for the ps3 come wireless like the ps3 controller? I ask because I have all my audio/video equipment in my closet and my TV mounted on wall. All I do is use the ps3 controller and I love the lack of clutter.

I was thinking about a wheel but I cant stand wires and it would be a good 15 feet of wire necessary to reach the ps3. Tell me they come with the same wireless capability as the DS3:nervous:

I use a wireless Logitech that I bought on Amazon.com (for like 50 dollars). There is a power cord for the force feedback but the cord is about 15 feet long. There is a bluetooth connection that has a small usb stick that goes in the PS3. I am in the same boat as you. My TV is wall mounted over a fireplace, and all of my computer/ps3 gear is on behind the wall. There is not a wire to be seen. The bluetooth works perfectly even through the brick chimney.
Some of the setups here are epic. mine sits on my lap, and has no pedals (the paddle shifters act as accel and brake). I like it, because i can stash it away when not in use.

@LostBoyNZ How heavy is that thing? Is it not a pain to move it around and to extend it?Would it be easier to put wheels on it with locks on them so it wouldn't roll around?

They're very hidden, but actually it has a series of caster wheels under it. So it's very easy to move around, and shrink or extend. Then two bolts can be placed through holes on the floor of the unit to keep the two ends locked together. There's holes in various positions so it can be adjusted for how short or tall the driver is.

Obviously from a few months ago. I got the lift-top table a few years ago and never had a use for it until the DFGT showed up! I added a banana chair to the couch to match the height and add back support and voila :) 67" LED-DLP up front. Just 3.1 set up for sound but I'm usually playing after the wee-ones are in bed anyways.

That is an awesome coffee table!~ Just out of intrest, how much did you get it for?
(For those who knows DSP, doesn't he have one like this? :))

Here's my setup. It's not 100% finished yet. Still need to add the handbrake I have, wire it up to the G27 shifter and paint it black.

Hey guys love it, absolutely love it. Which would be the better seat if any the Obutto or the Playseat? I have never even seen one in person. Raudi if I may ask could you give the overall measurements on your multiscreen full setup. I have a nice space in renovation and just wonder if I have room to do the multi monitor setup pushed up in to part of a cubby...Thanks and nice

This is a WIN! 👍

This is my setup for GT5.

The stand cost about $8 in materials + the cost of driving down to home depot. Took about 45 minutes to sand and nail in the corners etc..
Not the most sturdy of stands, but its small, and easy to put away.

There is a slight design flaw, I need to put a plushie under the pedal's to balance them from slipping away... I think you can notice the blue one under the pedals. :dopey:

Wow you guys all have great setups 👍 ; I can see a lot of time and effort have been spent

I’m V impressed and not at all jealous :irked:

I can't believe nobody has commented on your socks yet. All the trolls must have been exposed to sunlight and thus exploded – or turned to stone.

Back on topic, it's time for me to post my setup. I can't call it my man cave, since it's a corner of the living room. But the upside of that is being able to watch the TV while racing. Then I won't miss any sports going on.

The rig is not finished yet, as I haven't painted the last additions. But I think it will stay this way for quite a while, since I'm considering starting another build and throw this one out...

DFGT wheel, 24" screen, adjustable seat, adjustable wheel stand, adjustable wheel angle and adjustable pedal stand – and breaking lights. The lights are really just for fun, but I truly like them.

This is the build thread for my project.

Ia that a m11x? Do you do any iracing/rFactor on it, looking to pick one up and connecting a 23-27" LCD to it and run PC's off it?

I dont have a picture of my TV's, 360's, PC's, or PS3 but this is by far the best item I have purchased for gaming.

In November 2010 I bought a Microfiber couch that has built in dual reclining seats, center console, fold up lights, fold down cup holders, built in cooler, lower storage, and has a built in back massage for each recliner! Lifetime warranty and stain resistant all for $1,000. :)

I want.. I want..

just got my budget rig built today :) fanatec carrera wheel, and about $45 in building materials. took about 3 hours to build, taking a lot of time to make sure the angles and reinforcement was good, but minimal. planning on hitting a scrapyard this next week to get a drivers seat, have a couple of 4"x4" ready to mount it on already.

here's my Chicago Bears man cave, with racing setup.

Sharp Aquos 32" 1080p 120hZ
Phillips 290 watt gameport enabled soundsystem (not dolby enabled but it does pretty good)
160GB Fat Boy PS3
Porsche Carrera Wheel with standard pedals
Sirius Satellite Home Dock

images are all phone pics, sorry for quality, or lack thereof 💡

and a couple closer looks at the rig. MDF board on the bottom, covered with all weather carpet (and a OEM Honda Fit Sport Floor mat :) ) The wood is all 2"x2", with part of an old particle board desktop as the platform. looking for a better way to mount the shifter.
