I guess I'll post my setup here, it's cheap, solid and I love it!

I think this is a great set-up. I want one!

Yes but for the moneys worth and beautifull design they should have thought of a way to hide the cables...

Very true.

Excellent looking piece. Prefer inverted pedals myself. Otherwise that would be a fantastic looking piece in a room.

Nice! I would get some flexible plastic conduit for your cables. Makes it look neater. You can get it at any auto parts or hardware store.

I love this so much. I show this to all my friends when they come over my house.

You need to do chilicoke's e-brake mod, and wire a micro switch from the handbrake, to the shifter. If you have these skills to build this rig, soldering two joints to the circle button will be a piece of cake.

Nothing special, just my little corner of the world.

DFGT for now, until Forza 4 comes out and I get the new CSR

Whats the guns for? one to shoot the Mrs and the other for the AI? or you just like to play GT5 while planing your next hit? just kidding...

Ha, no. We just moved into our new place and I haven't had time to fully set up the man cave. As soon as I unpack the gun rack they'll be mounted on the wall.

What I left out of the picture is all the unpacked boxes in the room lol.

Modified Playseat Evolution with a Fanatec GT3RS/6+1 shifter/Nixim modded G25 pedals. Installed extra bracing to reduce flex(since I mounted the shifter so high the increased leverage introduced undesirable frame flex when going from 2->3 and from 4->5. I also added a Buttkicker Gamer by attaching a 15/16ths deep well socket at the back of the frame. The bracing is 1/2" threaded 36" rod from Home Depot, I installed washers and hex nuts on both sides of the flat metal frame to increase stability. The 36" rod is just the right size, cut it in half with an angle grinder and the two halves were a perfect fit..

Audio is handled by an Onkyo RC180 receiver, JBL Northridge Center, Stage mains, in ceiling rears, and a 12" 200W RMS sub.

TV is a 50" LG Plasma.

On with the pics!

Mine is really cheap and it's first one (i called Beta ONE) so i need to fix some adiustmens in next one. But as a temrorary fix it's works just fine.

Cables? Well yes i know that too. I will make them disappear in Final Version of my next setup.

I will use Stronger steel tubes, and i will make more room for my legs, and paint in silver color.

And I wil leave seat thou cause it's comfortable.

I love looking at this thread! I am still getting ideas to build a cockpit and this is a good thread for it!

Just a quick question for the guy with the momo setup, what was that box with those buttons and switches beside your wheel?

The Box is a stand alone USB device mainly use for RA function in GT5 & as a device hubs to connect Sequential shifter , wheel horn botton, wiper & light control stick, handbrake or other something want to connect, through this box ,no need to wire these several device directly on the steering wheel pcb any more, also can disconnect /replace the device easily.
Another function is for Reverse Gear in sequential/paddles shift mode.

Why I made this box was because, there are no key remap for G27 in GT5,and I don't want to hold a DS3 on hand or stick it on the wheel to access all in game function, other reason is, I think the Reverse button on G27 shifter keypad are too far away from wheel, make it closer to the wheel is much more better for me. And I also don't like put all button on the wheel,
so this box are 100% personalize device for my own usage~:dopey:

How did you get it to work with GT5 though, like how can I make one? So amazing!

I'm using a PS3 controller PCB(not DS3) for base to build it.
I think everyone can make one. :)

Looks good.
I considered similar at one time but recently discovered "iwavit"' So will be using ipad touch-screen with my own created templates for different games and can be used with todays consoles or PC.

Actually the pcb I used also work on windows as a ordinary usb controller~
but touch screen is much much better idea.:dopey:

I went from an old hacked up desk w/ G25 to a custom built ABS cockpit with Fanatec GT2 and Clubsport pedals and my old WRX seat đź‘Ť

Oh it is also left side entry/exit only. :) feels more enclosed. this pic shows how much is cut out on the left side:

Also added a 10" Klispch Powered sub to my surround set up. Using it to pick up mid bass really. Nice having two powered subs to dial in. As well I moved the butt kicker over and built a stud that is welded and provides a better feel then bolted socket provision on previous.
