whoa crazy. you actually bought this. It's supposed to be pretty pricey isn't it? how much was it if you don't mind me asking?

A cool setup, but for some reason I can't stop thinking about lady gaga.

Holy smokes! I knew it was expensive but didn't know it was THAT expensive. Great job in duplicating it tho, sure fooled me hehe.

Incredible Design^ Fobilemone! The whole time I was looking at your pictures I was humming "Transformers, robots in disguise!"

One day I will find a wrecked 240-280z and cut out the drivers side and transfer tunnel to build a cockpit using the Z's pedals, seat, and maybe even the wheel and shifter.

Nice foot cushion! Something very zen about your setup, I like it.

Actually replaced cushion with foam pads and sheepskin; my heels get sore on a long race :) I just race in my socks :) Of course I do wear pants and a shirt :)

Sorry the pics are crappy, but this my cockpit setup, which cost me exactly $0 to make. Previously I was too embarassed to post this online, but a lot of my non-GT5 playing friends think it's the coolest thing ever, and combined w/ a simple 5.1 surround and a 42' 1080p Vizio, it gets the job done...Besides I saw people using ironing boards and couches as "cockpits"...so I don't feel anywhere as ghetto as I previously did....
A cheap car seat, and some wood/metal contraption will soon follow, cause any more than 3hrs continuous of gameplay w/out a little intoxication is hell on my butt cheeks...:sly:

"Before (horrible)
G27 + Eames Chair"

Eames chair, horrible?! No way! I would kill to have an eames chair!

Most definitely not, as we love both of our Eames chairs and ottoman.
The issue was more with the flimsy VRS wheel setup. It was ok with the G27, but is just not compatible with the T500RS.

I wanted to get a multiple screen setup but it would take up too much room and would only be used for racing games. So I decided to upgrade my old Sony 60" LCD projection TV to a new Samsung 64" plasma (3D, 600hz, 25,000,000 :1 contrast ratio, anti-burn protection ). It made more sense for the "PATCAVE" since I can enjoy it with other games than just racing ones and play 3D games or 3D movies:sly:

Well... tried not to think of it while making it. The whole process took me about seven months. The longer it took me the more I added lol. I got a used G27 for $180 on Craigslist, $170 for MOMO wheel, $100 for Carbon Fiber sheets, $250 for "The Perfect Pedal," $400 for MOMO N51 seat, $25 for integy cooling fans, plus $100 for buttons, annodized nuts & bolts, wiring, shifter mount and other misc stuff:crazy: Not including the frame off my old Sparco racing cockpit I had for about five years.
