Here is mine ~

thinking on how to add a shifter mount for soon(hopefully) be released TH8 RS!!

Any chance of you posting detailed instructions on dismantling the pedals? I'd still like to swap my brake and clutch. Yes, the Owens Racing big fat brake pedal helps. I'd like to have the pedal more in-line. When I did the swap on the G25 pedals, I felt very comfortable. The Obutto has very little to no wiggle room.

When my parents are working, I usually like to take over the living room LOL. Nothing like LOUD NOISES!

LHD Shifter Mount.

For RHD, flip the top 90* by the wheel board and bottom 90* by the seat and the shifter mount needs flipped too.

I didn't take the pic when i first dismount the pedal, so i take down the pedal and took few pic for idea on dismounting the pedal

I basically unscrew all the screws n remove the steel rods, cut wire and wire them back n done ..pretty barbarian way to do it, but works perfect for me

Here are some pics, but not so detailed

Im also very interesting in T500 fat brake pedal, is the pedal actually available for purchase?

+1 on mounting to seat base. Your set up is similar to mine a page or so back. When i made the shifter mount i basically incorporated it into a newly boxed armrest and screwed that whole thing to my seat base. This way it is module and i can upgrade to a next gen shifter without having to redo my seat base.
Hopefully by then ill have a more permanent rig tho ;)

yeh .. custom build rig is a never ending journey, always rooms for preference adjustments..

i gotta say ur armrest look really comfy, I sure will post my back when TH8RS release //

Are you talking about the C-clips on the end of the rods?
What did you cut them with?
What will you do if you want to reassemble the pedals back to stock?
My goal is to swap the pedal positions and replace them in the frame. Hopefully there is enough wire so I won't have to cut the original wiring.

If you would like to purchase the fat brake pedal, send OwensRacing a PM.
The GTP iPhone app does not have a good copy paste function, otherwise I would post a link to his profile.

Here. Thanks Dave!

Might I suggest putting a link relating to your profile in your signature, labeled as something related to the pedal? If you do, put it at the top, the mobile app has a limit on how much of a signature it shows.

Yes, remove the C-Clip, many ppl have problem removing the C-Clip, it will come loose eventually using a flat head screw driver.
It took me half hour to remove it without damage it n to ensure I can put it back to stock.

there is sure long enough of wire between pedals but cutting the wire is to guide the wires to better position.

Van that is a truly nice looking cockpit. Very clever you are removing the brakes like that and mounting it 👍

THX sandboxgod 👍

Me too^

I will be posting an updated version of mine around the end of October, I have a wheel stand ordered and my room has been completely changed around to make it more comfortable. No more desk :dopey:

This is my first attempt at a racing rig/man cave. The rig is a great success, But is in need of refining. Once I've the TH8 i will update the steering wheel mount/desk and paint job. Also on the to do list is a buttkicker and surround sound ......open to suggestions on the best options.
The seat came out of a Subaru Imprezza at a local scrap yard £80.
Got the T500 RS for £350 from an English company online.
And the MDF, Timber, Hardware and paint etc From B&Q for around £60.
The Fridge was a gift from my cool grirlfriend.
The Black glass laptop stand was only £20 from a local store.
Love this room lol.

Future plans would include triple monitors ( also open to suggestions on best cost effective options ) Think I'd like to attach them to the wall with brackets. Move the playstation to the cockpit/Rig and tidy up the cables.

So it definitely is as you say "A work in progress"

Nothing fancy here, 47" LG 1080p tv, PS3, Sony home theatre in 5.1 (can go up to 7.1!), G27 silver carbon edition (done by me), custom cockpit with a '92 Prelude seat.
The tv is also my computer monitor.

Here's my setup. Samsung UNC 8000 46" 3D TV, Onkyo reciever (capable up to 7.2 but only setup for 5.1 right now), with Klipsch speakers and sub. My homemade sub$40 wheel/pedal stand and my ikea chair i've had for about 7 years haha. Works pretty well for me and can be hidden away fairly easy. Sorry for the crapy iphone pic.

Love seeing others set ups! Some of you are ingenious with your usage of everyday items to make it happen.

Sammy is going back to silver bezels on new models? Too distracting.

Loving the ikea chair as a seat. Has to be comfortable.

Here's my setup back in the states. Working on my setup in my second house here in Japan. should be noted that I used to use a DFPro but then switched to a GT3 RS V2 for the iRacing/pc world. And man do I love it.

haha, in fact. My pic has that same ikea chair in it. (look to the left). But Ikea is usually very cheap. So I wouldn't worry too much about price.

I got my chair for free from a friend that was moving and didn't want to take it with them. New they're between 65-100 usd depending on which cover you get. But you can find them used on sites like craigslist cheap all the time.

I finally took a couple pics of my setup. I just want to get a racing seat and then attach some legs of some sort to it for the height I need. Just need it to be about the same height has the chair in the picture below. Ideas anyone?

Walmart has an incredibly nice Broyhill chair for $100. Height adjustable, "pleather," and very comfortable. I picked it up to use in the study at my desk.

It's not available online but they may have it in stock at your store.

Also,

You could always just add a steel frame base to it similar to the Playseat design.
