PRAIANO'S TUNES : SETTINGS FOR GT7

I use another GTP member's tune that used to be 800pp and, although the new physics/PP make the car well under 800pp, the Escudo still dominates the Sardegna grind.

It's competitive at 800pp.
What kind of lap time you're calling competitive ? How many stops ?

2 stop. Auto, mediums (now, w/pp change, room for softs), fuel map 6, 5, and 3 laps at 3. Hard settings.

Used to be under 24.

Now, 24:30.

Edit: you asked for lap times. Controller, my bests.

Pre 1.31: 1:24
Post: 1:29

maestro, in the race at le Mans with the Escudo, it happened to me that the game didn't let me put on wet tires because they raise the pp a lot. is there any way to fix it?
Same here , in order to use them you must set it on intermediate tyres before the race .
Also are equally with RM !!!!!

Its PD " glitch hunters" strike this one .

I lowered the ECU to 79 and changed the ballast to 17 which put it under 700pp on WET tires. You can now use RM tires instead of the RH.

Edit: I think the IM tires raise the pp even more than the WET tires. If you want to use them, you would need to reduce the power even more. I always just use the WET tires.

Rims up to you - Width Wide - Offset Wide

Lap 3.40 on Le Mans FM 5 or 6 , need to shift 8000 RPM.
No late braking , try to reach apex releasing gas pedal , it will add a lot of front grip doing this during fast turns.

Thank you so much once again Maestro!

Also there is a major glitch on this car. With CH tyres you can have 1000hp on Tokyo, one stop no tyres

Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM '19 - 800PP - Racing Medium Tires - All Tracks - 1.31

It's an easy fast tune with a good top speed. You can add front grip increasing the rear ride height. You'll lose some top speed doing this.
Take care with the rear wheel spin out slow corners in 1 and 2d gear.

Ooft, what a tune!

I managed 3rd place at the WTC800 at Nurb Endurance without the tune, but won it (for the first time, and on my first attempt) with this tune.

It was no cinch, however, I still found it very challenging and I won by passing the lead car on the final corner, only for him to run out of fuel anyway  I took the lead at the small Carousel, but the 2nd place car (my AI nemesis, Portilla/Viper) was faster in a straight line and I didn't block him - but I was right behind him entering the final set of curves before the pit straight, but I braked late into the final corner and passed him.

I reckon this would probably be an easy win for someone with more skill than me, but for me it was a satisfyingly close race and a real test of my abilities. I only ran a bit wide on two occasions in the whole race, which is pretty good for me, and most (though not all) of my passes were clean. The AI was a bit dirty in places too though, and I got a few unkind shunts and near-spins in the stadium/F1 section, so it was very satisfying to take the win.

Thanks for the tune, great job

Always loved this mclaren F1 700 pp tune, but since the update, it is extremely good on Le Mans. Over 200 mph on the straights, and 3 laps on FM6

Wing A

-Rims up to you

Number 1 600PP on Nordschleife , excelent also on Tokyo Rain enet (no stop for gas or tires)
Very rewarded driving , driving line is very precise. Just take care with your braking points , very weaks brakes.

Thanks @praiano63 for this tune, I'd bought the car without any real plans for it. Threw this tune on the car, used it to win WTC600 at Nürburgring GP, a circuit I've never really done well at. A good way to stave off a Friday morning hangover.

Interestingly I am not having any problem with PP limits interchanging RH, IM, and Wet tires. I have a funny glitch with the tachometer’s orientation being off. See photo. Anyone else have this?

No way too use Inter tires , a glitch raise the PP a lot. So no Le Mans event for this car.

Rim size has to be standard for this. If you put bigger rims (18/19/etc) it pushes it to 700.03 pp

I've set the car on Racing Hard Tires but you can race it with medium tires too. Specially on the Nordschleife 3 laps event.

How's everyone liking this tune? I can't decide whether or not I should drop the coin. @Praiano, the 64 Carrera is wonderful. Stick around the 'Ring is great fun! Thanks

With much anger and determination it can be done with Sir Praiano63 tune. Sardengna. V6 Escudo, no one else tunes.

I made a setup yesterday and had the same problem. I had to change the racing automatic gearbox to manual gearbox and I think put downforce rear 699 instead of 700 and that gave me the oppurtunity to put on the other tyres. This pp rating on the car seems very glitchy.
I am going to try this setup and see if it works on this one also :)

This tune (with racing mediums) on VR doing the 3 lap Nurburgring race has been the most fun I have had in this game in a loooooong time. Too bad that race doesn't pay out more, but this car is supremely fun. I would highly recommend buying it as long as it leaves you some cash to spare. Don't buy it if it will eat up all your $$

Am waiting for your reply on this since praiano tune for that car it's quite handful and safe .

Thank you. What a great ride. This car really demands you drive smoothly. I love it!

I can confirm:
Escudo on lemans with stock gear box and back aero on 699 can run and intermediate tyres.
If you have wide rimes just put one kilo and you are done.

Also the EXACT same settings can run on Sartegna with RS tyres and two stops without change anything.
Its a little tricky behaviour but when you get use to it isn't bad at all , need early braking and lift of in some areas.
Did 25.24 and am not good at all .
On FM1 is definitely under 1.30 ( am not yet ) and need some testing about how to use fuel map ideal for me.

At lemans am running two first laps on RH , 3-4 on intermediate and 5-6-7 on whatever weather brings.
Depends on the weather if you will wait on 6th or 7th lap at the start to finish in 30 minutes.

Hi Praiano, this is my first post here, although been a big fan of your work for a couple of years. This tune works well in the wet with very minor tweaks. I just upped the ballast from 14 to 22 and dropped Power Restrictor from 97 to 96 and works with both IMs and RH
Same here. I used ballast 17 and power restrictor 95. I can use both RH and IM tires.

Happy for you to find a kind of answer. Today is one of most busy day for the pizza. A lot of people for the holly week. Good luck.

The most expensive car I’ve bought yet. Came out Tuesday, wanted it, grinded for it, had it before breakfast on Thursday.

Have you noticed how money habits in GT can mirror those in real life? Not always a great reflection 😬

Since am quite new at ( my own) gt7 ,i didn't have the car to race at neoclassical menu .
Yesterday i try with Escudo praiano tune , use RS tyres FM6 and stock gearbox.
Never have to try second time any race , that thing destroy the competition even at 700 pp ( and a few ) .
One pit stop each race and thats all .
Of course racing on lemans and Sartegna help me to adapt to the driving style that Escudo needs to be safe and fast .
Don't know how was at the past but from my experience is an ideal proposal for that menu .

I finally got the Escudo last week after the long wait, and I must say I was underwhelmed. I don't like the way it handles at all, even with the maestro's tune.

I much prefer the Mazda 787b on Sardegna. He has a great tune for that car as well. It still comes in just under 24 minutes (for me), about the same time as the Escudo after the update if I'm understanding correctly (I didn't have enough patience with the Escudo to set a sub-24 minute time)

I don't have 787 yet and probably you are right.
Escudo needs a " cooler " style but at least didn't have that silly back end " slap " when you're at low speed corner exits .
Also i don't mind that much about time as Sartegna is a track that am not familiar yet since i use to race lemans with non stop cars .
That ability now belongs to the past due to new intermediate tyre wear so i have to adapt.
Hope 787 and the others from that group come back soon.
CLK was too much at this price and i let her go .
Was just a surprise for me that Escudo even at 700 and something pp was able to do easy Sartegna.

At neoclassical menu it was a blast anyway and from what i read for some people was a menu that had serious difficulties to go on .

If you want a choice, set your car up with wets or inters and adjust pp to 700, then install your RM's or RH tires. Do not raise pp back up to 700, leave it. Start the race and you will get full tire selection.

Thanks mate , i already solve that leaving stock gear box instead of racing one , putting 1 kilo ballast more than maestro suggest and aero at the back at 699 as another mate proposed above.

Almost in any case the race doesn't take more than 30 minutes.

I've been enjoying your recent tunes this weekend, Praiano!

Especially the Escudo Pikes Peak in VR. The turbo lag on this machine is insane, you can almost feel the g-forces as the power kicks in. Plus the car is a bit of a handful since the new physics updates, which adds to the experience. Definitely one of the most unique cars I've played with in VR so far!
