-> Is it just me, or Toyota has been left out?

-> The closest 'Toyota' in the lineup is the IS F.

-> But great news Alba! I can't wait, good thing I got it pre-ordered. I got to finish Burnout: Paradise ASAP! ;)

I bet Clarkson was jumping up and down over the Ford GT

I bet, because his runs on so much fuel that there is not enough just to get him to work ;). Now in game he can drive all day long! :dopey:

Toyota may have been left out of Prologue, but I'm positive it'll return. We did, after all, already see the GT-Four Rally Car in HD's version.

BTW, Vonie, where did you find those 2 pictures? I would check the link location, but they link to flickr.

My you folk get bribed easily.
The only good thing i noticed was split screen two player offline.
There was no mention of an improved "professional mode" physics fix.
There was no mention of an updated A.I. fix.
There was no mention of an updated collision detection fix.
And still $40 bucks for a Demo is just pathetic,It doesn't matter about any of the justicfication's made for said price either.
Here's the best part, out of all those pretty screenshots you are all drooling over, you have all ignored the same crap GT4 wing stuck on the back of either that Mitsubishi EVO or that GT-R.
If all i've got to choose from is stock or "race tuned" is a sad choice in this day. And if all the next GT has going for it is pretty graphics i'd rather have (i can't believe i'm aying this) it looks like a console race of choice will be Race Driver Grid. At least they have an Working A.I. and Damage system, too bad about the rest.
Nice crap wing on that car.....but hey at least it looks nice in high def....

Because there were already reports that the AI & all that had been redone for GT5?

Demo? Hardly. I'd love to see any demo give me this much content.

So, they stuck a similar spoiler on the Evo. Did you just decide to skip over the fact though that the Nissan Skyline Coupe is wearing new parts on the front & rear bumpers, or that it also has a new spoiler?

Please, direct me to what GT4 had these modifications.

Pretty quick conclusion to a game that gets rarely any news. Maybe perhaps, you'd rather wait like the rest of us, to see what features are in store?

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will also include a new cockpit racing view, dynamic AI, as well as a new physics engine, user homepage and DualShock 3 support.

^ Wow, this show your Forza-faboyish is in overdrive. Thinking that this is the complete game in which it isn't. Why is it called Prologue then? :indiff:

-> If you can't think of anything nice to say, say it on the Forza forum, not here. :indiff:

BT-> So far GT is slowly getting the better of this step-by-step, at least it doesn't end up being 'flat' compared to GT4. :)

-> I'm happy with that, oh well, on to my wish list. :sly:

YOU =/= US.

Why does it bother you if we're drooling over what we're seeing? Different strokes for different folks I guess

Of course we'll have to see about the physics. I'll be very disappointed if they aren't even tweaked a little you know:) A big thing in my opinion would be to FINALLY implement realistic (ish) abs or LACK there of. This would add so much.

Oh yeah , high speed ring....cool

40 dollars for this ver of the demo is better then most console racing games at full retail price IMO. Beside the huge graphics upgrade, playing the current JPN ver the physics have improved vastly. Playing with the G25 at simulation settings in the steering option and force feed back at 9 the driving feels great.
I'll agree with that the A.I. still need some tweaking, but from GT4 it's whole lot better. I don't think by any means the tuning aesthetics of the cars reflect the finally product of GT5 full ver. I'm sure there will an option to tune the car how you like.
In terms of damage...well who knows how that will play out with PD, but I rather have a solid game that demonstrates some great features then a game that tries to do much and ends up feeling mediocre. If that means damage can't make it into the final game then I'll accept that.

If you bothered to put your brain in gear and did a little research before shooting your mouth off.
You'd find out that improvements are being made all the time
PLUS
No one's twisting your arm to buy it.

OH and by the way your grammar and spelling are atrocious.

the point of prologue is to test these things and THEN apply changes. and as already pointed out, these things HAVE been changed. mayeb this is the first news of prologue you have seen?

And still $40 bucks for a Demo is just pathetic,It doesn't matter about any of the justicfication's made for said price either.

20 dollars less than a regular game and as much content as something like burnout.

Here's the best part, out of all those pretty screenshots you are all drooling over, you have all ignored the same crap GT4 wing stuck on the back of either that Mitsubishi EVO or that GT-R.

also on the evo was a body kit. there was a different body kit on the citroen. and a different one on the skyline. and as someone pointed out, a different spoiler on the skyline.

If all i've got to choose from is stock or "race tuned" is a sad choice in this day.

your judging this like its the final product. if they have included body kits on cars, my guess would be that in the final game, at the very least you can purchase these whole body kits for your cars in the manner resembling racing mod in gt2. ie, one whole unit. which, if you ask me, is a whole lot better than the NFS method.

And if all the next GT has going for it is pretty graphics

i share a sentiment that gt5 better not be a prettier gt4, but...

i'd rather have (i can't believe i'm aying this) it looks like a console race of choice will be Race Driver Grid.

that game looks like need for speed with a better "plot."

Nice crap wing on that car.....but hey at least it looks nice in high def....

so...dont put bolt on wings on YOUR cars...use a CRT TV...and ignore ferraris (seeing as no one else wanted them either) and your problem is solved.

 The new information seals the deal for me. I will be getting it when it is released. Hope two player split screen includes replay and option to switch to single view replay.

I think there should have been more Hondas added to the car list, but at least we do get the NSX-R. I just wish we could have got the new civic Type R and S2000 CR. Wonder if the Amuse S2000 has the stock digital rev scale from a regular S2000, I hope so? Please Polyphony Digital do the Honda engine sounds proud. :nervous:

Alba, if you keep pulling this information out of your hat i'm going to have to come to Belgium and buy you a beer my friend!

Sersiously.... you have made my day.

hahah

Yes i know this is a "game" that get's "improved" as it goes along, that was my point. From the japan release to the EU and US that is coming, out of the features shown it had no mention of what i posted, just cars and a track, and drift mode, nothing about the real issues (again).
Yes i know Grid is going more arcade, it's why i mentioned it as well.
If i'm going to choose between which arcade game to get, i'll get the one that already uses a decent damage and A.I. compared to a lacking demo, which may or may not ever see anything more "patched".
From my point of view it' just the same dog and pony show i've seen since GT3, all flash, little substance. I'm not saying the game sucks because even if it doesn't get any better than now, at least it can't be as bad as GT4 was (handling, sound, etc wise). I just am one of the very few who would rather the cars be so realistic in handling that even winning a race or getting an actual time record would feel like an acomplishment, instead of just anyone jumping in a Ferrari F430,F40,etc and popping off record hotlaps.
I doubt i would be able to do so without a lot of practice if the physics were more "professional", you know that mode that was supposed to be much more realistic.

great news, but the lack of racing cars is a bit... disappointing, as i was looking foward to try the new physics system with those...

one other thing that probably has being beaten to hell, but i hope they give those extras as an update for us, japanese buyers. i don't want to buy prologue twice!

Ferrari F40 alone is well worth buying PAL GT5P to me (I already have JP GT5P). Very happy 👍
