Pre-release GT5:Prologue Thread Firmware 2.17 mandatory for GT5:P? (and Pictures)

For all us rabbid EU peeps (or particulary desperate US peeps too ) GT5P will be making an apperance at play.com Live at Wembley stadium on Sat 15th March and Sun 1th March (my birthday!).

It doesn't state whether it will be playable or not, but i would imagine that a week before release it will be and that the DFGT will be hooked up to create a bit of a buzz about it.

Unfortunately I had no idea this even was on before i'd made plans for my birthday so i'm going to have to miss out. Damm people travelling 120miles for a piss up! Students eh?!

But i don't want anyone else to miss out on a chance to play GT5P a week early (I think even Play have outdone themselves by providing consoles to play on and some killer bands like We Are Scientists to listen to whilst you play!)

Tickets are £6 for an adult for either the morning or afternoon session (kids being £3), so for £12 you could be there hanging around the SCEE stand all day showing Wembley what GTP members can do!

If anyone gets to the event make sure you take some pics of the setups and screens will ya! Serious respect will be earned if anyone manages to get a snap of the F40 or 512BB (even just from the dealer screens!)

It has been asked djKyoto, several times. The honest answer is that nobody outside of PD know at the moment.

There's speculation and hope that there will be an update, but nothing has been confirmed.

Been trying to finish up GT4 in preperation for GT5 not to much Prologue, so while I have over 63% of the game to finish, I am currently working on improving B-spec Bob's skil level so I can have him do some of the longer races without my involvement.

Right now he's at -

Still making the mistake of going through some high speed sections too fast even on "Steady" on some tracks, so I feel I need to get his skills into the 9000/100/90+/90+ before I can turn him totally loose on most tracks set on Fast.

I have a theory that could explain the fact that some of the Dealer events are locked in the japanese version, it could be because those events have to be raced on the high speed ring track. that could be the evidence of a futur upgrade. that's what i hope by the way...

I do hope for a update too, but atleast if the us version is uploaded to the chineese PSN, you will be able to download that version with out cost. that would only be fair in my book.. I notist in the download list on Psn store, That i can download the bought items as many times as i want, so this could happen he he lets hope so Guys..

On another topic.....

On my daily sweep of all the GT sites i frequent, i noticed something (don't get too excited) on the GT US website. Scroll right the way to the very bottom of a page and next to the ESRB classification of "E for Everyone" is the text "Mild Suggestive Themes"..

For most of us, this would be because GT5P is digital automotive porn and currently requires us to keep a box of Kleenex handy whenever new screens are released (that's not a literal statement by the way, honest!). But unless someone at ESRB has a sense of humour or the same passion for the series we do, do the ratings boards really see racing cars around cordoned off tracks as "suggestive" ?

Having just watched the itv's (the UK tv channel that shows F1) F1 Season Preview, i can tell people that their coverage is now sponsored by Sony.

This makes the chance of a GT5P advert much more likely during next weekends coverage of the AU GP!

There isn't, rumour even has it (from both the bands side and gamers) that PD used the cut version of Feeders Just A Day (1st verse and chorus) in GT3 so that no confusion could be made in the lyrics of the 2nd verse.

It says: "on the Underground, with the freaks and frowns", but could have been easily misheard as "freaks and browns". So chances of expletives are between slim and none!

My understanding of JP culture is that swearing is very much against polite culture.

If they are realy missing then i will buy the US version, whats a good US site for ordering game's?

Pre-ordered my copy a few days ago. The Blu-Ray version (as opposed to the PSN downloadable version) is said to have a making of "Beyond the Apex" featurette. Seems worth it to me to wait a few days, spend the same money, and get a nice little extra.

Thinking about "GT5: Prologue," I am not very educated on the 512BB. I know I've read it's a Ferrari with a horizontally-opposed engine. I know what it looks like having played "OutRun 2006: Coast to Coast." I know a lot of you will likely love racing the F40 for you Ferrari fans, but (and I'm not knocking the car, just asking) what makes the 512BB so appealing to you all?

Basically it's the gorgeous looks that does it for me. Although it's the predecessor to the legendary Testarossa, styling wise the BB paved the way for the smaller V8 Ferraris.

It wasn't a literal comment JohnBM01. It really wasn't. The comment i made was a joke. Sorry if it causes any offense!

It was about how good the cars look and that they (cars in general) are seen by many (in a non perverted way) as emotional, passionate and aspirational. There is only a very slim metaphorical link to the way that males often perceive female form attractive.

To put some context to my point, read
Clarkson reviews the Brera or make sure that you watch Top Gear when it eventually appears on GT:TV, because when the brera was unveiled on there my exact comment was uttered by them. Text really doesn't convey the tongue in cheek way the comment was made.
