Eurogamers states earlier EU release (previousely 28th March):

"Sony has announced that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be released on Blu-ray and PSN at the end of the month.

The Blu-ray version will retail for GBP 24.99 in silly old shops from 26th March - a Wednesday.

Then the next day, Thursday 27th March, the PSN update will include a downloadable version of the game. "PSN and Blu-ray prices are the same," a Sony spokesperson told Eurogamer.

Also available on 26th March, if you haven't even got a PS3, is a bundle including the 40GB version of the console and the Blu-ray game for GBP 299.99.

GT5 Prologue is a mini Gran Turismo 5 featuring 71 cars, 1080p visuals, online racing for up to 16 players and a "Gran Turismo TV" channel through PSN which keeps you up to date with global motorsport.

As Sony states, "The complete Gran Turismo 5 launches in 2009", but in the meantime this ought to keep you busy.."

My first news was quote from news 10 minutes ago - so, they've changed it. No news then. Pity :D

they have said that the PSN version is going to be available on Thursday 27th though inline with the usual PSN updates.

good news if you're downloading. I now have my fingers, toes, eyes and any other "crossable" bodily appendages that play don't start sticking to street dates all of a sudden!:nervous::scared::boggled:

That wouldn't be so bad.
It's going to be a big DL and along with the amount of people trying to get it.
It'll probably take until the 28th to get onto your PS3 anyway.

That's before you install the 5gb and try and get the online update

My local retailer has been told by it's supplier to expect GT5P on march 27th, another retailer is also saying the same, I hope to get it a day early. :D

Alo, notice this - and this is official SCEE's press-release regarding that retial will be available at 26th after all (only if SCEE had some serious typos in their office):

"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Polyphony Digital are pleased to announce Gran Turismo 5 Prologue™, a prequel title showcasing the forthcoming Gran Turismo™ 5 for PS3, will be available both on Blu-ray Disc™ (BD) on Wednesday 26 March for €39.99 (RRP), and as a download from PLAYSTATION®Network on Thursday 27 March. Launching on the same day as the standalone BD version, a PS3 bundle will be available including a PS3 40GB model, a SIXAXIS™ wireless controller and a Gran Turismo 5 Prologue game, all for just €399 (RRP)."

Who to beleive then? Beats me.

The original prototype from '87 has different car door windows like this, which is more like what is pictured in GT5P... the indicator on the side at the front is also different...

I posted a third pic, its also a 1992, it has the same front side and front spoiler is also exact to the GT5 pic...

But maybe you could get an option for that window?

Fantastic screens, F40 is just wonderful. See no people on Eiger@splitscreen, looks pretty plain. Thanks, amar212, you are just spirit of this site.
