I would like to experiment with a game formula, and the 2015 Oscars are the perfect time to try the formula out. Before I introduce the nominees for this year's Oscars, if you wish to partake in the game, here is how the game will work:

Each of you will submit your predictions for the 2015 Academy Awards, aired on February 22nd on ABC. The deadline for submitting your picks will be one week from the show, February 15th, at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time. During the week difference, I will tabulate all of the picks and present them on Google Docs for all to view. Here is how the scoring will break down:

Correctly predict the Oscar winner in a category: 1 point
Be part of the GTP consensus pick*: 1 additional point

*GTP Consensus pick: The pick where the majority of members of GTP have settled on to be the winner of a category. Percentile threshold for consensus: 51% with at least 7 voters participating in a category.

I make one prediction that is a certainty. The show will be way too long and boring as heck. :D Bet on it.
