I only had mine crash in the past when I brought up the dash board on occasion.
It seems to crash when loading games, sometimes when you enter a new area and so on, you are lucky to only have the problem with the dashboard, this isn't a new problem, as with each console before loading problems have caused many a game and or game save to be lost as well, I can remember playing Super Nintendo games where you could not save, be at the last boss and the game not load lol.I only had mine crash in the past when I brought up the dash board on occasion.

If my system dies then I am giving my games away lol, I won't spend money on another system, same goes for PS3 if I buy it.I remember the super nintendo things, GOD that would make me angry, lol.
But as for my 360, really I only have a trouble if I'm in the middle of a game after a while and I try to bring up my dash. And generally, it didn't "freeze" all the time, it would just...."chug". But, I've sold it (last week) so I don't have it any more With my luck, the next one I pick up will break, lol.
Did you send yours in for repair or did you just go back to the store you purchased the 360 and got a new one? My warranty allows me to just walk in and get a new one that day at the local store. From the times I've had a problem with the console itself, they only want the console back, nothing else. The first time they replaced the console and power supply - the second time just the console. Unless there is something wrong with the actualy Hard Drive, they won't touch it.
We just send ours away to Microsoft after a phone call. We do a test to see if it isn't the Hard Drive, then they say to sent it in to an address. I'm not too sure if it's just for "repairs", as they do completely replace the console (we've compared serial numbers and manufacturer dates - all different). It's like they can't be bothered to open up and fix the console, so they just give you a new one... Oh well, either way, their loss...Did you send yours in for repair or did you just go back to the store you purchased the 360 and got a new one? You have to watch out with older rechargable batteries, they tend to be a problem as with any kind of battery, the same can be said for the play and charge kit once it starts to age, the way I look at things is: Unless you payed a large amount on rechargable batteries it's best to replace them, it's not really worth losing the controller or other electronics just because you didn't want spend money on new ones, not that I support the market trends of use and toss away, the world is one big trash heap because people keep using and using without realizing what they are doing to the enviroment, not much we can do about it anyway, it's like oil, it's hear to stay, not to mention millions would lose their means of income.I agree with the play and charge kit. Even as much as I play my 360 I only have to plug it in maybe twice a week and it only plugs in for about an hour and I play while its plugged in. 👍
I need to buy Heather one of those. She is using rechargable batteries in her controller and they also last a very long time.
The most amazing part is that I have had these same 4 rechargable batteries for many many years.

Well it doesn't matter what you use so long as you 360 is going strong and you are playing.👍Duċk;2448191And the planet's (or at least GTPlanet's ) longest sentence goes to...
But really, if you have to plug in your charge kit twice a week, that's kinda dumb. I just buy a year supply of batteries for $30 at Costco, and you don't have to change them nearly as much.

Ahh, that makes sense now. 👍 I have always wondered why they don't send you a recently manufactured one. I thought it had something to do with getting rid of old stock they had...Most often electronics do get repaired but they send you another (xbox360 in this case) that was previously repaired, they repair yours and when someone sends in theirs, they send your old repaired one to them, so on and so forth.
Which means the dates and serial numbers will be different but doesn't mean you get a brand new one.
I will be right back. I am going to the bathroom so no one at work will see me crying.Three red flashing lights is bad. You definitely have a problem with your 360.

This sucks. It was perfectly fine until I tried for an hour straight to get into COD3 ranked room.
