If you happen to disconnect your wheel for any reason, prepare to have to close the game. Took a break from racing to watch Netflix over dinner, so suspended the game and turned off the wheel. Came back, and nothing could budge the "controller disconnected" screen.

Had a similar must-shut-down moment after watching a replay. Tried taking some shots of my first career race — the photo mode issues are another matter entirely — and when I finished, I tried to back out of the replay. The game hung with the cars all revving away just after the start line, but they were stuck in their spots. No menu came up no matter what I did. In the end, the race results weren't saved either, so I had to re-run it after.

Formula rookie cars become undriveable at times on lap 2 with lift off oversteer and turn in oversteer. Finding it impossible to complete a race in Portugal and Snetterton seemed to be hit and miss. I'm 99% sure it's not my lack of ability as it's intermittent and dramatic. Tried several setups but the change in handling is dramatic and seems to be quite random.

And a small bug has occurred twice with my teammate blocking in my pitbox after I've returned there for a setup change and not moving. My pit release guy just stands there and my engine won't start rendering session null if you haven't already set a time.

This is not a bug but we have got to get the lap timer/potential box moved.
It's blocking my view of left turn apexes almost completely.
I turn it off when running cars with onboard telemetry, but road cars I like to see lap times.

So far, I've had the game crash twice on me. Fortunately, both instances happened in the menus and not while I was driving.

The whole experience reminds me of project cars one. It isn't unplayable but the bugs sre many and diverse so it's frustrating, you need luck as well as skill to progress and then you have to hope that the game and it's interface record things properly. Having problems with clipping with the g920 and finding it difficult to setup properly. I think the game has a lot of potential and shows great promise. Xbox one.

Are you using the D pad to select save after you're done moving stuff?

Yes, same as PC1.
I'll get everything adjusted hit save, it'll back out and default it all back.
Just need to stick with cockpit telemetry, loving the game otherwise.

You need to use the same d-pad you started with editing the hud menu I've found, you know it's saved when it actually goes back to the options menu and has the save icon down the bottom right, once pressing save.
Although once I've touched the DS4 and go back to my wheel after that, I've found that it doesn't recognise my wheel anymore as the main input so I have to completely exit the game and restart with the wheel.
Now I've just made sure that I don't touch it again until I absolutely need to and just do it through a private test session if I need to so I'm not exiting any important event.
In terms of the mirror disappearing sometimes I've found a work around and that's to simply go into the hud edit, not change anything and just hit save on my wheel and go back out then it's there again.

Good to know, have to use the D-Pad after editing to select Save. I've thankfully been able to use the DS4 and go back to the G29 freely.

Possible bug or would it be a feature :)
The F40LM seems to have a hole in all 4 tires.
I noticed when driving it today that pretty much every lap after the 2nd was slower than the one before and saw it in multiple races.
After paying close attention I could see that all 4 tires were loosing air pressure as the race went on.

I'll try it again later because I have a G29, maybe it's only sometimes. I've avoided touching the DS4 ever since lol.

Also, not everything saved. It worked but the mirror would get turned off randomly and I'd have to edit the HUD to put it back on.

Same for me, as well as scrolling the HUD would make it disappear. Guess I got too used to the rear view mirror instead of looking back lol, reminds me of GT roof cam days without it.

Hello. First of all sorry for my bad English.
This is a few lists of bugs. I have noticed all this after 12 hours of gaming. All this bugs are on PS4 Pro for me. Here we go.

•Too much spinning with every véhicules . The tyres doesn't warm up efficiency. So always spinning. Very annoying.

•On replay with open wheels cars the helmets disappear when the camera is "far". But it's very obvious.

•No AA apperently ... All the textures loads to close on our cars. Same for the opponents. Full Shadows and cars details appears when I am very close to them. PS4 is not a PC I know. But she is good for a better graphics settings. This is obvious.

•The menu freeze when you finish a race. For 5 seconds... Pretty long I think.

•The stop mark for showing our pit is transparent on 75% on the time....

•The AI level is not equal on each track. Sometimes I have no chance to defeat them. And on the second event on the season I beat them with 10 sec per laps... Very strange on no immersive at all.

•The pit crew is not here sometimes on a pit stops.

•The opponents have some wheels disappear on a race

•Damage is not removed after a restart.

•Settings are not saving.

•The AI know the weather better than us.... She go change tyres before the rain coming...

•Our cars have the wheels spinning by itself on a straight line. The car don't turn . But for a few miliseconds you can see the wheels spinning.

•Huge drops of FPS on a few tracks : Le Mans, Nurbugring GP, Monza and Imola.

•PLENTY OF BUGS GRAPHICS : for example : PIT CREW ON THE TRACK (!!!), some wheels on the sky sometimes with pits stuffs in it. I know this is weird but believe it happen quite time especially on Imola. Glitchy cars with no wheels and no aerodynamics cars on the starting race...

That all for now.
For the developers and SMS members: you have the philosophy. You have the passion. This is obvious and I think every one on us believe in you. But you cannot sell a game with some majors flaws like I described before. I love cars. I love racing solo and with others. I buy this game day one with the season pass because I believed you . So ... Don't mess with our trust please. Be a good studios. Fix the game properly please.

I just unplugged the wheel and plugged it back in. Ive heard you cant do that (or shouldnt) but its never a problem for me... But you might have a different problem

@IanBell

Came across an interesting one last night (well actually its sort of two) in regard to the Sampala ice racing track (which is a great track).

First one is that it doesn't appear on the track list for 'private testing' on the PS4, but it does in 'quick race'.

Second it that I did a quick race using the VRX Mk1 Escort (and many thanks for three versions of one of my favorite cars) and the AI appeared to get the wrong tyre, as I managed to lap the entire field twice, as I did I noticed (and confirmed in replay) that the front wheels of all of them were going from full lock to full lock resulting in them crawling around.

I had the motorsport preset on RallyCross rules, running the normal six laps.

Couple of bugs I noticed on Xbox One using Logitech G920 wheel:
1. Car reverts to first gear when you return from menu screen while driving.
2. Camera flashes in stands at Hockenheim during test run even though there is no crowds there.

1. Why does it take so long to load in the menu? What exactly is loading? ; Can I change something to stop it?
2. Why does editing a tune take 15 seconds to do whatever it is doing?/ Why do I (we?) keep getting "shared tunes saving" without asking for them? But if i do want them, they never show up anyway?

And why do we lose competitive points because somebody else is a complete plank.

Ok so here it goes:

PS4 pro; Logitech G29.

Keep in mind that I have not tried the Career or any online racing! (very slow internet so the 13gb update took days).

The below is only a result of some testing sessions and quick races offline.

1- Detailed default HUD does not save the rearview mirror==> going into edit menu and then to the back will make it visible until you change HUD view again.

2- Graphical issues all over the place: sorry to say but it feels like 720p sometimes! Pixelated, rendering issues and screen tearing.
Drawing distance is a disgrace! I can see the details of cars ahead of me pop out suddenly at around 15m in front of me! Same goes for all track details or other stuff! I can see the drawing distance at a very close distance as I drive!
Used to have that in "driver" game on my Pentium 2 PC in 2000!

3- I still had some huge frame drops or lag on the pro. Not frequent, but when it happened, it was bad.

4- AI is pretty reckless! If I brake a bit earlier I get rammed immediately.

5- Although automatic clutch was set OFF and manual gears, the car could change gears without clutch!
I think the game should detect the existence of an H shifter and adjust controls accordingly!
You cannot drive H cars with the pedal shifters and you cannot drive sequential/pedal shifter cars with an H shifter.
Assetto does that on the PS4.

6- Can we have some more info about the field of view? Changing the FOV causes lots of trouble:
- Changed my POV to 53 (which is the value I should use due to my distance/tv size etc.) and it was soooooo narrow! I could only see the bumper of my car although I'm in cockpit view! In assetto it plays perfect but in PC2 it doesn't.
- Even if I change seat position, it can't be put back too much because it starts interfering with the head/body of the driver.
- I lost the "proximity arrows"! It was no longer shown on the screen! Barely end tip of it sometimes! Those should be relative to the screen and not the FOV!
- Bottom part of the management menu was also not shown on the screen! This should be relative to the screen and not the FOV!

7- The game force closed many times giving that error blue screen! It froze my whole ps4 once!

8- I drove the 488 GT3 around Monza!
Driving at very high speed coming to 1st corner after long start/finish line, I could hear the wheels squeezing heavily under my full brake application!
Isn't that odd knowing that I had ABS on?! Shouldn't I be able to brake the pedal to the metal at first (due to high speed and high downforce) and then modulate the pedal when the car hits low speeds?!

9- Broke my car's engine many times because I quit to menu (pressing options button) when I'm on a straight to adjust some stuff; when returning back it dropped the gear from like 5th to 1st which broke the engine immediately!

Keep in mind that I bought this game because I want to have it and love it! I like lots of stuff about it already! But we gotta give feedback for the DEVs to improve some stuff! I hope the first update (that should be downloaded now) fixed already many of those!

Q&A? Then again i did the same thing...

Few more issues I've noticed during Private Test (given up on Career due to setup file problems)...

Helmet Cam - sometimes helmet, sometimes no helmet (seems random).
If you cycle the views, does the helmet show again when you get to Helmet Cam?

Saved Laps Times - Can not find a way for my fastest laps to be saved. REALLY annoying!! No options that I can see to save before exiting the session. When exiting says all progress will be lost!! Anyone else got this issue - or know if I've missed something basic?
Fastest lap times only get stored in Time Trial mode.

Could you give more details? What car(s), what tyre(s), what do you see in the telemetry HUD?
BTW there's a known issue with tyre heating for the Formula Rookie and Formula C cars.

•Settings are not saving.
What settings do you mean? Are you sure you're asking the game to save, and you're not pushing the button to back out of the screen?

I've had a few online races now where I've won the race on track, but the results screen shows I didn't, and either myself or others are credited with a wrong time for no apparent reason. The win isn't reflected in my driver profile either. Eg. here's the outcome at the end of this particular race:

But the result afterwards:

(also note the wrong nationality beside my rating, should be British)

Is this a common/known issue?

Also @IanBell @The_American would you prefer I took stuff like this to the official forums or are you happy for it to just be posted here?
From what I can see the flag is the nationality of the car maker. Which is kind of not relevant.....

on PS4 PRO: if you go back to a menu it takes up to 30 seconds until you could Change any Setting oder menu item. during that time the compete menu is frozen.
