We're in talks with Honda/McLaren about it. Fingers crossed.

WE'VE REACHED 100 CARS AT LAUNCH! 💡👍👍
I hope to see that too. Although I really like the 911 GT1-98 I intend to put Le Mans 1998 right by winning in the Toyota GT-one.I am very excited about that reveal. I hope that means Porsche 911 GT1 as well
Watching the BT Sport Alonso interview, he says about these people on the PlayStation. Maybe he wants to recreate this fun. Maybe a few other rounds too. We're in talks with Honda/McLaren about it. Fingers crossed.
Wonder what chances we have of seeing more LMP1s from the 99-2011 era: Audi R10, Audi R15+, Peugeot 908 HDI FAP to add to the ones they already have from PCARS 1.
Well.... There are some LMP900 cars in Project Cars. I think we will see them in PCars 2.
I would really like to recreate the Audi v Peugeot battles. Diesel LMP1 were great.Wonder what chances we have of seeing more LMP1s from the 99-2011 era: Audi R10, Audi R15+, Peugeot 908 HDI FAP to add to the ones they already have from PCARS 1.
What's the difference in the 98 and 99? I did a quick search and it just said the car was refined but that's about it.I would really like to recreate the Audi v Peugeot battles. Diesel LMP1 were great.
We are getting the 1998 Toyota TS020 GT-one, and apparently the 1999, plus I reckon we are likely to see the Porsche 911 GT1-98 and 919 Hybrid at some point.

Wasn't the 919 said not to be coming?
The Peugeot 908's Playstation branding may be a licensing issue.
Also, I wonder why, besides Forza, most games tend to ignore the diesel greats of Le Mans.
In 1998, the car raced in the GT1 category and in the following year, due to some rule changes, all competitors were required to make changes to their car. So for the 1999 Le Mans race, Toyota evolved their GT-One into a GTP class prototype. What's the difference in the 98 and 99? Would the 99 version have raced with the lmp900 cars we have in pCars 1? According to wiki lmp900 started in 2000. There was also a LMGTP class that wiki says was for GT cars that were too fast to compete with GT cars.In 1998, the car raced in the GT1 category and in the following year, due to some rule changes, all competitors were required to make changes to their car. The GT1 rules stated that “a” road car usable to the public should be built to homologate a GT1 racing car. What the rules failed to state was exactly how many cars needed to be built. Toyota, like Porsche, took the opportunity and made a very basic road car, devoid of all creature comforts.
Most likely yes. Although, it's possible that a GT1 - LM GTP - LMP 900 sequence could be made.Would the 99 version have raced with the lmp900 cars we have in pCars 1? The in-game #1 Bathurst winning GT3 Nismo, doesn't have the "GT Academy" signage on the rear wing endplates. So, I'm not sure if we'll see many cars if any with GT branding. If you can link any, I'd like to see. Seems interesting. Why would the Playstation branding cause an issue? The game is available on Playstation, and we already have cars coming with Gran Turismo branding on them because that's the real world livery. In fact, I think there is some GT branding in the current game if I am not mistaken.... Need to revisit the liveries.......

For sure, "Playstation" wouldn't be out of the question. Makes me wonder if those liveries will be exclusively for Playstation. There was some question about some of the cars already revealed/hinted at for pCARS2 that have Gran Turismo sun screens on windshields, etc. on their real world liveries.
Same thing holds for certain tracks, such as Long Beach, which have historically had Forza Motorsports banners. I don't exect to see those, but when it comes to real liveries on real cars, it's hard to say how that will be handled. My gut says they will alter them, but my gut has been wrong before (many times in fact )
I missed that about the 919 Hybrid. It will be a pity to not see it and some more modern LMP1.Wasn't the 919 said not to be coming?

Yep. Telling us to "get ready". They need to stop and jus reveal all the dang cars!Another image of the Porsche GT3 RS
PORSCHE CONFIRMED!!!!!!!
the 911 GT1 isn't a 1996 model.Updated car list with the ones I found.
Did not spot the GTE or LMP1. (As expected for LMP1)
