Then the R390 slipped out in that Andy Tudor interview. We can't assume we've seen every Nissan, let alone GT-Rs.
They were only discussing GT-Rs in that article. Although in that sense, that also could be true for Porsche. I remember Ian Bell saying no 919 Hybrid LMP1 but it could have changed since then.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between the two 962c's? Did they run in different events or what?
Here you go.

The long tail has lower downforce and runs in events where top speed is more crucial than downforce. E.g. Le Mans.

I'm aware. I wasn't clear before, but what I should've said was, "In addition to another GT-R being revealed after the article, SMS revealed a ton of Nissans over the course of a couple weeks, and it turns out that it wasn't every car from the brand."

What I meant was that they stated that they were the GT-Rs coming to the game when in fact, the Group A was added. Nothing about Nissan in total as they never said that was the only Nissans released.

So, let's say there are 60-75 cars to be revealed. This leaves us with potentially(just guessing, not wishing): Peugeot ;), Ferrari & Lamborghini.
Maybe more Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Mini & MINI, Mercedes, Nissan, Opel, Porsche, Toyota, Volkswagen.
Maybe New marques like: Alfa, Chrysler/Dodge, Lexus
Majority of the cars yet revealed, could be road cars. The count begins to look too small to fit more marques and/or models.

you forgot the whole LMP series P1/2/3/900, that from PC1 and maybe new ones

I think we won't see every single car from PCars 1 in PCars 2. Rufs will probably go away, and i am wondering if we will see fictional RWD and MAREK cars.

Wasn't the 919 said not to be coming?

The Peugeot 908's Playstation branding may be a licensing issue.

Also, I wonder why, besides Forza, most games tend to ignore the diesel greats of Le Mans.

There's a Saleen S7 on Race Driver GRID 1 with a huge PlayStation sticker on the hood of the car. A GBA XBOX MotoGP game from 2001 has a rider with a huge PlayStation sticker plastered on the side of the bike. The XBOX logos remain on the HRT Commodores on V8 Supercars Race Driver 2 on PS2 . And in non racing game advertising, there are PlayStation logos all over the adboards on from PES 2009 onwards and on UEFA Champions League 06 07 on 360. SMS could just barcode the XBOX/PlayStation logos on the 908s if it still could be a licensing issue. Or just ditch those liveries and replace them with my all time favorite PCARS Liveries, Marvelous Stew and Long Dogs Bun Busters

Well, on Forza they just replaced the PlayStation logo with XBOX 360, so something similar could be done for PCARS2.

Well... In Both PCars and Assetto Corsa on PS4 and Xbox One, there are a lot of NVIDIA logos on tracks, and cars, and both consoles have nothing to do with Nvidia :)

And in Project Cars 2 there are XBOX logos on Le Mans.
'Gran Turismo the real driving simulator' logos have been censored.
The XBOX sponsorship coming out of Tetre Rouge is official sponsorship so I would expect it to be present on all platforms. You do see PlayStation logos in FIFA on XBOX too so it is not unprecedented. It is several years since Gran Turismo was advertised there.
