I took the part of the article where they confirmed the Aston and Ferrari from the 2016 championship as they will be 2016 models.

"Back then it was with the GT40 Mk.IV (that you will find in Project CARS 2)."

Hell yeah!

What about these cars?
-Ferrari 330 P4
-Porsche 907 Longtail

May I ask. Whats the difference between the 2016 Porsche 991 GT3 R (GT3) and
2016 Porsche 911 GT3 R Endurance (GT3)?

Those are in based on sources. There aren't many differences on them but apparently they are different.

Watching 2017 TCR Asia at Zhuhai, it's weird how the Opel TCR was announced for the game, but the other cars in the series are not. I wonder how this will play out, knowing we have VW, Honda, Audi in the game. Don't know if Seat will be a new marque, among other unknown makes.

Differences between gte and gt3 cars (not just Porsches) are:

gt3: less aero, more power but weight more
gte/lm: they have less power but also less weight and a better aero package

There are a few technicalities also wrt to the purpose of some things like air ducts that in GTE do need to cool something, and GTE can't use ABS either.

They may look the same but overall the gte is faster although it seems ABS is quite an advantage even if the gt3 cars are on worse rubber.

Praying for a lot more in the touring department. BTCC and DTM definitely. BTCC cars from the SuperTouring era would be absolutely amazing. If I recall correctly the late 90s Laguna was rumoured for the first game before being scrapped....

It was only scrapped because they couldn't source anything for it. A shame but we got the FR3.5 and RS01 as replacements.

I'm sure Bob and Mark Jones of B&J racing engines wouldn't mind their 1999 Laguna being photographed and scanned for the game.

They've been running it for the last few years and had it at the Knockhill Supertouring festival this last weekend. Sadly it had Transmission issues and never made quali or either race.

Being my all time favourite race car I would love for it to be in PCars2, it would be the icing on the cake on this game for me.

oh guys since i forgot to add. Ive been the biggest Corvette Racing Fan since 1999.. anyways.
I have complete Speculation on why we don't get a 2016 C7R.
but instead. we get a 2017 C8R. or even a 2018 C8R.
So. here we go, a few months back, S365 reported that Chevrolet , BMw and Aston will have new Cars for 2018. in GTE/GTLm. meanwhile. The C7R is already dated. due for a new upgrade of some sort. in 2012 the C6R received a new engine that is now currently the Engine in the C7R. C7R is the 3rd oldest GT platform current racing in Top Level motorsport. Following the R35 and Astons. that being said. Larbre, who is the only other team allowed to run any type of C7R GTE or C6R GTE ( They won le mans with a Vette) is only doing a 2 race season. so This only leaves me to believe that they are preparing for the C8R. Pratt and Miller. who only have enough time to build 5 cars. as in 5 cars are built currently. The Car that team AAI used last year at le mans was the 2015 winning Car. it is now back at the museum in le mans. back to the story. Larbre has wanted to RUN GTE Pro for the longest. the reason they just got their car is because P&M isn't really that big enough to wip out cars . hence being Why Corvette Racing has 3 of the 5 cars built for 2017. Larbre has 1. and the other chassis is in a museum . so why would larbre take the year off? To prepare for the C8R.
as of 2018 all cars in GTE will need to be new. grandfather cars are not allowed. therefor the C7R is ineligible unless they (CHEVY)Decide to Keep the C7R for 1 more year. (Unlikely since its been reported on). that being said. Reports of a new 2018 mid engine vette are more than real now. in 2014 the first year of the C7R, Larbre used an LMP2 at le mans.

All the signs are pointing towards a 2018 C8R GTE / GTLM release. we won't know until post le mans .
but if the signs are true to the word. SMS might have got the first rights to the C8R as well as the new BMW and Aston.

could just be completely wrong and sms could just be lazy. but doesn't make any sense to why the C7R is a 2014 model and not a 2015 OR 2016

i may or may not be drunk when typing the above. basically i think SMS is planning on getting the 2018 license for the c8r and New aston, blah blah blah.

No that might be the 911 gt3 endurance. They confirmed the list of Porsches the other day and I didn't see the rsr on there.

Look at the livery, thats what caught my attention, here's a comparison picture of the show model at this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Not actually the 2018 Dallara IndyCar, but certainly inspired by it........

I suspect that the in-game version will be a fictional open wheeler to replace Formula A or Formula B (just guessing)

True. Although I think it's a faster car than the FA and intended to create most of the downforce from the underbody of the car. Coincidentally (Conspiracy theories begin) like the Dallara 2018.

So we have confirmed Ferrari F50 GT1 in GT1 class. Probably competing with other real GT1 cars. We all know that F50 GT1 was never racing in GT1 class. I wonder if we will get also Diablo GT1 which also was to late to meet GT1 class changes.
