Exactly. I haven't even touched on those yet. Running out of room to be less than 200 at release.you forgot the whole LMP series P1/2/3/900, that from PC1 and maybe new ones

I hope we get some of those major marquee brands. But I bet a good chunk of what's left to be revealed is Ferrari, lambo, lmps and various road cars. There's always a good chance though. So, let's say there are 60-75 cars to be revealed. This leaves us with potentially(just guessing, not wishing): Peugeot , Ferrari & Lamborghini.
Maybe more Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Mini & MINI, Mercedes, Nissan, Opel, Porsche, Toyota, Volkswagen.
Maybe New marques like: Alfa, Chrysler/Dodge, Lexus
Majority of the cars yet revealed, could be road cars. The count begins to look too small to fit more marques and/or models.

That's assuming all of these cars are going to be added and I see that expanded further anyway with the likes of Ferrari and a few others. To add some fuel to the fire, here's a car list from pC1 that excludes all the cars already announced. Every car that is printed in italics is what I consider "replaced by a newer car". If a car is only speculated to be in the game, it will still be found in this list. (also please excuse the formatting, I just copied the list from the offcial website and deleted all entries that are listed in the OP already)
In total: 73 cars. If we subtract the cars printed in cursive characters from that, we get 67 cars as a result. Added to the 109 cars already announced, we get a total of 182, respectively 176 cars. That means that either the amount of new cars yet to be revealed is very small or that not many cars from the original game will make the cut.Alpine A450

I just thought it might be nice to have a look at the car list from both games - could help with speculating what new cars will be included, which cars will return and which won't. I mean if RUF won't return (which would be quite a bummer), that would already open up 6 more slots. Remove some of the "duplicates" (for the lack of a synonyme; stuff like the two Audi R18 etc) and we already have over 10, possibly around 20 more cars to fill up the list. And let's not forget that DLCs might be announced as well. That means that [...] not many cars from the original game will make the cut.
I know. I was just pointing out that IF (And it's a big if) that was correct, that 180 would be the absolute minimum without anything new.I know, that's why I also said

I'm thinking they did cut more cars then what they made it seem. They have yet to reveal Ferrari and lambo plus they gave the impression there's some new road cars so I'm guessing maybe half of what's left will be carry overs while the other half might be New. I think RUF was really an alternative to Porsche. If you can't get Porsche, you get tuned Porsches by RUF which is the next best thing.I am 99.999% certain Ruf will not be back. While I don't have any firsthand knowledge, my understanding is that Porsche has made it clear that any new game coming out needs to choose between Ruf or Porsche. They won't allow both brands to be in the same game, unless their cars are being added to an existing game (such as AC, iRacing, etc). With that said, even iRacing seems to be distancing themselves from the Ruf cars now that they have Porsche.
I'm still hoping for Subaru in rallycross, plus a 22B and newer STI to face off with the Evo VI TME and Evo X. Hard to imagine that SMS could have secured the other rallycross cars and the GT86 (assuming it's coming back) without talking to Subaru. So, let's say there are 60-75 cars to be revealed. Porsche definitely seems bothered that Ruf had "taken their place" across the genre. Somewhat ignorant and arrogant on their part to only notice now and demand to trade places, but I guess maybe they were locked in with EA for a number of years or they shuffled someone else into the position overseeing that kind of thing.I am 99.999% certain Ruf will not be back. I have no idea why the BR-Z was left out, while the 86 ad FR-S were in. An STI would have made sense versus Evos, but we'll see.I'm still hoping for Subaru in rallycross, plus a 22B and newer STI to face off with the Evo VI TME and Evo X. Like I mentioned, the rest of the Day 1 cars start to look cramped for room, when there are so many cars left to be revealed.
I'm not assuming any carry over- trust, I'm not in that crowd. I love the idea of new cars/models. 👍That would assume a large carry over of cars from pCARS1 when in fact we've been modelling new cars like crazy people.

Yep. Already added that and the Ferrari GTE to the car list."Back then it was with the GT40 Mk.IV (that you will find in Project CARS 2)."
Hell yeah!
The GTE lineup is looking strong!Yep. Already added that and the Ferrari GTE to the car list.

We've determined that each of those are 2014 spec visually. Now, the question that remains is: 2014 spec Corvette and Aston, or 2016 spec?
