That's why I go for choosing a league and then click "random"! Nice to play with teams and players you never heard of!Its what’s popular. It is what it is. Its a bit like how a lot pick Real Madrid on Fifa seasons.

Unfortunately (for some) GT3 is the most popular racing series across many racing titles, probably due to them being relatively easy to drive, being pretty balanced with BOP and having a large roster of different cars, as a result there are a lot of lobbies with GT3 as the class. I guess your best option is to create your own server and hope that others who fancy a bit of variety will also join. With the multitude of classes on offer in PCars2 we still have to contend with 90% of lobbies being GT3. What is wrong with people?!
I like GT3 but some variety would be nice.

View attachment 675759 So, I’ve just bought it this afternoon and thought I’d have a few hours before watching UTD later this evening and it seems I have quite a long wait, seems strange that it’s like this with the disc version
Welcome to online racing. In my estimation, racing older or slower cars, especially on more natural rubber, is pretty rare online. When I raced online quite a bit in Gran Turismo it was pretty rare to find a room on sport tires that had more than one or two people in it. Comfort tires? Forget it. When I went to racing on the PC in Assetto Corsa I found the same thing you are finding. A great many rooms with GT3 cars and not a lot else that was very busy. You can find track day lobbies full of a variety of cars but very little racing with the slower cars or the street cars. With the multitude of classes on offer in PCars2 we still have to contend with 90% of lobbies being GT3. I think I found the magic number for the AI on PS4... 33. Tested on 2 tracks with multiple car classes great race each time... Aggressivity was at 70

I don't expect this game to be any different in that regard.
Hey I literally just found the solution. Go to your controller panel where it shows your wheel and turn off auto clutch there. I happened to stumble upon it. Oddly, yes the button mapping for autoclutch doesn't work thoughWith the automatic clutch bugged (having it turned off and I still can shift without clutch) I'm not driving the classic cars that much right now. That leaves me with flappy paddle and sequential gearbox cars. Still many options outside of GT3 there. Why not GT1? It's like GT3 on steroids with a bit more power and way less weight.
In general, all the classic race car classes are sub-2,500 lbs. It's hard to pit them against modern racers because of that weight difference.
My biggest issue with the online lobbies available is that there are way too many of the same class with less than 5 people in them. If all of them got together in one room there would be a decently filled room. And why do people set it up for a max of anything other than 16 players?
What cars?
I'm running 60 strength and 70 aggression in Clio Cup, Touring Cars, Ginnetta G40 Juniors, and GT5 and having amazing racing with predictable opponents.
The rooms were there, just all private. Public was 99% R3's.When I raced online quite a bit in Gran Turismo it was pretty rare to find a room on sport tires that had more than one or two people in it. Comfort tires? Forget it.
It's a known issue and Ian's said they're working on it for a future patch.Hi,
I have yet finished Cayman Int'l Cup, where I encountered a minor problem: Four out of five rounds have competitive AIs (AI level 80, agressiveness 50), only one, Zolder in the rain, is ridiculous easy. Same setting (80/50), gained pole with a gap of two second to P2 with no effort. Same in practice and race.
cheers,
D.
And by they I remember Ian mentioning that it was specifically the job of three people for the next six months lolIt's a known issue and Ian's said they're working on it for a future patch.
That was for AI in general. They're improving the wet weather slowness for the next one IIRC.And by they I remember Ian mentioning that it was specifically the job of three people for the next six months lol

What are your AI levels?
In general, I would like to see more tracks that are fully lit at night for open wheelers with no headlights.
For those who are interested in leaderboards (PC only?) --> http://cars2-stats-steam.wmdportal.com/index.php/leaderboard?track=3634666530&vehicle=4203152210
BTW it seems not all times recorded in PCars2 are displayed here. I miss a reasonable number of time trials who should be also in this list.
