So I've not played much but had a go today. I took the BAC Mono out round Sugo in the pissing rain, the car was undriveable. I looked at the tyre and the car was on 'Trackday' tyres, there was no option to pick 'Wets' so what do you use in those circumstances?
The track tyres are awful in the dry as well, I wondered why it handled so badly myself until I put the semi slicks on, then the car felt great.

We need a custom Championship to pick our own grids
Yes! Being able to pick my own opponents is something I've wanted out of racing games for years now. I don't know much when it comes to how PCARS 2 is developed, but surely such a feature can't be that hard to implement?

I remember it being a mod in PC1 on PC. So its possible.

This is in no way related to the game but I've started getting pop up ads at the bottom of these pages now, can I disable them somehow? They're kinda annoying.

@bleeder Use an adblocker?

Also - has anyone tried the GT Sport Beta? After playing for a bit I cant help but feel there is a disconnect between the Car/tyres/road, at least once you compare it to pCars2.

It has fun elements but I miss the part of GT that made GT what it is/was. You know, buying parts to put on your car and then blasting around a circuit. With out this component it feels like it is trying to hold a candle to the likes of racing sims but its falling a bit short. Anyone else agree?

Is there any way to get rid of the "potential lap time" i find this extremely annoying as i just want to see my proper lap time.

I just don't understand how it works...

I get the concept is to indicate theoretically what your fastest lap time would be taking into consideration your best S1, S2 and S3 times. But when lapping a circuit I've had the indicator in the middle of the screen being green showing that I'm on course to beat my best potential lap rime right? Only for my lap times sometimes to be not even close to it...like a second off etc.

Unless I'm not grasping what it actually indicates...

Im usually around 10 seconds away from my potential lap times, Just makes no sense to me and defo not needed.

HUD editor. Select the widget and turn it off.

I'm afraid to go into the HUD editor anymore because it permanently puts that rear view mirror up at the center of the screen and I can't turn it off. I think I've heard that's another bug they are aware of just like the running +/- lap delta that has mysteriously disappeared.

That's better than the bug I have, I can't get my virtual mirror to show up at all. When I go into the HUD editor I can see it up there but I can't turn it on or move it or get it to show up when I'm driving so I rarely have any clue what's happening behind me which can be quite detrimental.

Same although is it a bug or is it just our inability to work the hud.

Your virtual mirror will save and remain enabled if you change your Hud Level to Light. Just enable it in the Hud settings and save it under the Light option while in the Hud menu.

Yes, I've been told this dozens of times but there is no option to enable it in any of the HUDs. In the editor if I switch to the Light HUD I can see the mirror up there but I can do anything with it, I can't drag it, I can't enable it, it just sits there and taunts me.

Lol, believe me I understand. I am on the PS4 and could only move it if I hooked up my controller, couldn't do anything with my wheel. The cursor to move it is almost invisible and very hard to see. I hope you figure it out.

Me too. I can move some other things around and I can see the mirror up there in the light HUD editor but I cannot get it to show up when I'm on track. So far the common response is to activate it in the light HUD editor but nobody explains how you actually activate it so maybe I'm just missing something, but I can't see any options to activate/deactivate the different HUD elements.

You have to change it here and when you actually go into the hud menu towards the middle of the screen, you will have a similar option. You have to change it there also. I hope that helps brother.

Thanks, I've not tried it in that order. Once I get into the HUD editor how do I actually activate it? Why on earth does it have to be so complicated... :indiff:

@BrandonW77 click where the mirror should be and it will highlight blue like in my picture, then click in the green area I highlighted to toggle it.

Edit: Also, I've noticed once you've done this, if you change your view in-game the mirror will disappear again forcing you to go back into the editor and re-enable it.

Thanks. I've never seen those options on my HUD editor, it's just the mirror up there and nothing else. I'll check it out when I get home from work.

using this picture, has anyone had problems with turning on the track map in the top right corner? Im on PC and no matter what the option is set on it never shows up.

As long as you change it to Light in the picture that I posted and in the picture that wabbit posted it should stick even if you change your view.
If you need more help I will be more than happy to help when I get home.

Anyone else REALLY struggle at Fuji Speedway? Im quick and can win at other circuits but Fuji I am a full second off the next slowest car
