No worries, I appreciate the effort. At this point I'm thinking it's a bug with triple screens.

We have a similar issue with VR. In VR, you have to set your monitor display to that of the rift/vive in order for the HUD editing to work properly, or else you have to click around randomly. For triple monitors, you may also have to play with the resolution in the settings menu just for the sake of setting up your HUD

Finally got the virtual mirror working on triples. In the HUD editor I had to click and empty space in the top center of my left monitor, then the little menu would appear next to the mirror on my center monitor where I could set it to Full. I set it to full on all the HUDs but it only shows up on the Light HUD, better than nothing though.

Quite the opposite for me. I drove it at Fuji a few nights ago and it was all I could do to keep it pointing in a straight line, being slightly too aggressive on the throttle would kick the rear out. Felt more like driving a Maserati 250 F1 car in AC than a modern track day weapon, my elbows were definitely flying around. Pretty miserable experience, but certainly not bland.
How could you even say that a 'Murican car with stupid amounts of horsepower is bland. I mean, you'll have much more fun wrangling a Corvette than a McLaren 720S!

Nobody knows. It was heavily requested in pCARS1 and rumoured do come un pCARS2 but I guess all we can do right now is wait

Whooaaa don't hate on the wrong guy. I said it was bland. Bland may be a bit much but I do think the steering feel needs some work. There are much more talkative cars in the same class.

Just took the RS01 out for a quick race at Nurb GP and it feels a lot better than in the first game, really good fun. Always felt something was off with the roll bars and general chassis stiffness but it feels very nice now.
Tried both the loose and stable setups and couldn't feel much difference though. Will stick to loose and build from there probably.

It's such a well planted car and that surprised me considering when compared to a GT3 machine it's 200 pounds lighter and 50 HP stronger. It's a really fun car that allows for tight AND fast racing. The sound is really nice too. Especially off-throttle

I was holding off in declaring a final judgment on the physics, expecting SMS to tweak them with updates. With version 2.00, this game definitively belongs in a "holy trinity" of simulators -- Live for Speed, Enthusia Professional Racing, Project CARS 2. While LFS and EPR have the edge in handling dynamics, PCARS2 beats them in details and additional features. Its handling is sharper than EPR's, and it far surpasses LFS in content, of course.

Not all the cars are quite there yet, but the GT86 and probably some others are capable of authentic and satisfying drifting, which is what I need to not grow tired of a sim's physics. That's huge, because these three games are the only ones I've played to offer that! SMS is right to be proud of their breakthrough in tire simulation.

One thing I'm hoping for is being able to name online rooms. It seems like it should be an easy thing to put in, although I have no idea about the magical voodoo they do to make a video game. I just play them. But-if I'm looking for a public room, it'd be nice to have some sort of theme or title listed. On GT6 (not comparing! Don't come at me!) I could scan and find something like 'clean-relaxed-low pp' (which would be what I like). I'd stay away from things like 'dirty nascar' or something that seemed like they'd be ridiculously fast/good to the point I couldn't compete. With this, I have no idea the type of room I'm joining other than vehicle type.

Anyway, that's just my little rant - loving the game!

On PC you can name the online rooms, is that not an option on consoles? Granted, it's not real clear where to change the name when you're setting up the room so it's really easy to miss and a lot of rooms just end up being called Lobby, but it's definitely possible to change the name on the PC version.

Hmm - could be. I looked, but not too hard. I'm not always the most observant person either so.....:boggled:

Trust me, it's easy to miss. Not sure how it looks on consoles but on PC there's a little box at the top left when you're setting up the server and from there you can set a room name, a password, whether it's public or private, etc. It's entirely possible this feature didn't make it into consoles though, I have no idea, but it's a pretty crucial feature so if it's not there hopefully it will be added at some point.

Thanks - I'll take a look tonight. Come to think of it, I didn't notice any descriptions when looking through the rooms. But maybe most people are missing it too

Guys, Please advise me. I dont know whether I should buy Project Cars 2. I have preordered GT Sport. I have not tried the demo on that deliberately because I want to see the full game the first time I play rather than just a demo. But Project Cars 2 is down to just £33 on one website I have come across. Is it worth it at this stage when GT Sport is just around the corner (next week).
Thank you friends
MC

Sounds like it still has some issues to iron out on consoles, but I can say on PC it's in fairly good shape and seems pretty good to me so far (though not free of issues). If/when they get the bugs sorted it should be a pretty solid addition to the library. Might be worth getting while it's cheap if you can afford it and don't mind waiting for some problems to be resolved.

I'd definitely get it and cancel the GT Sport pre order unless you're getting it for a fantastic photomode, liveries editing and lounge music. I tried the demo and once I'd driven I realised it wasn't for me.

If you have have a wheel it's a definite project cars 2. Hands down. If you have a controller, I can't really speak to that but I would say go ahead and try the demo. You may find something pretty severe one way or another.
Edit: I also agree there are some bugs but if you can overlook that I feel that pcars 2 is definitely worth the discount price

Sorry for double post, I felt this didn't feel right posting in a reply to something else:

Just had a practice session in the Ferrari gt3 and had some interesting laptimes.
1:17.454
1:16.356
1:15.480
1:15.480
1:15.200
1:15.200
For those last four laps, talk about consistency!

I'm tired of GT3 races being won by Ferraris. I hope they implement a balance of performance eventually so I can drive the other cool cars in the class
Thank you! There's so little originality in the public forums. What car class? GT3. What track? Laguna/Monza/Nurb GP. What car? Mmm... The fastest one please - Ferrari.

I constantly search for lobbies with other car classes and tracks but they just don't seem to draw racers. There's so much more to this game than GT3 sprint races in dry weather. And then when you do join a GT3 lobby, hardly any other cars chosen than Ferrari.

Nothing's changed since Project Gotham Racing 2 on the OG Xbox Live -- fastest cars in the game, high-speed tracks without complex corners. I can even still remember the most popular circuit -- KGB Corner in Moscow.

On that note, better hope SMS doesn't intend to incorporate drag racing or the Bonneville Salt Flats... :P

Thats whats keeping me out of online... all I hear is gt3. Literally.

For me those cars simply don‘t feel aggressive or involving enough. Its all a bit numb. Why are they so trendy? Is it because ofbthe average age of players or because there are so many of them in the game?
