Does this happen to anyone else? You take a car to Private Testing for a few laps, and a few laps later you look at the lap count and its at 40 :D The driving in this game is just so addicting

Same. I was racing and turn off the HUD, and i lost the amount of laps i was doing.

In Group C1 I think it is with the Porsche 962 & Nissan R89C etc. are those other versions of those cars and the Jaguar with names ending in LH or LM strictly better off only being used as LeMans or much longer tracks? If you're on shorter tracks you're better off using the regular versions of those cars?

The LM or LH versions are the low drag versions. This was used in the 80s to give balance between cornering grip and speed on the mulsanne straight. My impressions and book articles say that those are not necessarily better on the modern le mans circuit. The XJRLM for example has much less downforce than the regular one. The same goes for the porsche and indeed every group C chassis. As we don´t have the old circuit, I advise you to use the regular high downforce versions.

Clio Cup question guys :

Why am i losing the back end easily on slick tyres in the dry,but yet in the rain on the wet tyres i have no problem controlling the car?? Doesnt make sense to me...only applies to this car and its making the Clio championships frustrating.

Not too sure about the current status of the wet tires, but I read somewhere these have way too much grip?
Another thing I noticed when running slicks, is that when the tyres are cold (all tires around the same temp), there's a lot less back sliding since patch 2.0. Once the fronts heat up (and the rears less so), the car becomes very snappy. Contrary to pre-patch where cold tires were a lot snappier than warmed up.

Back on pcars2 after giving it a break (also was testing gt Sport) and man the game feels a lot smoother and noticed they added a lot of little things. Main thing that im happy about is that the menus are fast as hell now. Thanks SMS.

Driver Swap/PS4...
I'm not getting a notification for it when pitting.
Doing Milkman trophy now, any help?

You have to select driver swap from the ICM.

Omg.
I reassigned the entire Dpad on the wheel at game launch to adjust the cockpit seating.
I never assigned the ICM after that and have been looking for it all night.
Got it sorted now.
Thank you.

Edit

Just finished 1st 200 laps of Indy.
The Milk Man trophy did not unlock.
I set the race up in create a race with 3 opponents.
Do you have to complete it under career?
Very frustrated, I did 115 laps, bob finished it.

After two days of having no ability to actually test the patch, but plenty of time to read about it, I've finally gotten to test it out for the past couple hours. OMG my game was so broken for some reason.{PS4/T300}. I was trying every FFB flavor and setting I could find in the forums, and none of them felt as good as the original Project Cars. And worse, after a few laps in a race, the FFB would just disappear - my wheel would go all limp noodle. I'd have to restart my game, get the FFB back, and start again. Some times I'd make it through an online race, or maybe if lucky two, but then in the third race *poof* my FFB would be gone again (usually in a turn or when passing/getting passed). So tonight, as soon as I fired up the game and ran a test race, the FFB was IMMEDIATELY better than it ever was - even at it's best prior. Perhaps something was corrupt in my original game install, or the first patch install, or who knows? But man, I'm so relieved that my wheel now has some real feedback. Combine that with my button box now working, and PCars Dash working on my tablet, and I'm pretty happy about how things are improving. There's still some things that need addressing, but I always like to give proper credit when due.

So, Thank You So Much @IanBell for hearing us. Thank you @The_American for listening and relaying our concerns. And thank you SMS for caring about the game and working toward continuous improvement. You guys have taken a lot of slack over the past few weeks, and your response has been admirable. Instead of excuses... Fixes. That's all we ask for. I'm sure you're still working on future fixes, and I look forward to them. Of all, (and for you skeptics this is no B.S.) thank you for caring. I honestly do believe you do care. Cheers.

EDIT...
It is now 9:30 am where I live, my wife is now awake, and she's pissed that I'm still playing PCars 2. So that's how much the patch improved my experience.... G'day I guess.

Does anyone know if the length of AI pitstops changes if I am playing quick race/mandatory stop with no fuel consumption and no tyre wear? My stop takes around 5 seconds but don't know how the AI is affected by my race settings. Also for my pit strategy I selected 1 litre of fuel but when I came out I had 9 litres put in.

Since 2.00 changed up the gamepad steering a bit, I've been doing nothing but test drive various difficult-to-drive cars to check my new settings...it's worth reminding myself that there are plenty of easy-to-drive cars to enjoy, too. :dopey: I don't think all the cars are on the mark physics-wise, but the better ones are just great and work so well with my controller settings. :D

After playing GT Sport for a while, coming back to this and driving a Lamborghini Super Trofeo feels awful. The car doesn't seem to have much grip and the AI, even at 80%, can do things that I cannot. The car has heaps of understeer, way too much for a mid-engined four wheel drive car, and I've decided to quit the series completely. I then chose to do Group 5. The Porsche 935 is so refreshing; the car is joy to drive and it actually turns. No stability control, no traction control - it feels so raw and you need to be careful when accelerating out of corners. It wants to kill you, unlike the Super Trofeo - and I like that.

The Super Trofeo is rear wheel drive.

Strange, are you using stable setup and/or controller? For me it feels oversteery rather than understeery (lambo). Quite tricky.

I didn't even know that the huracan super trofeo is featured in GT sport, I cannot find it on any GT sport car list.

Maybe you just compared two entirely different cars?

I think we are talking Diablo here.

I am glad for all ps4 wheel owners that seems to have had a bad few weeks.
For me as a xbox owner driving with tx wheel and 599 rim it has been the best driving ever since release up until this patch took away the magic.
Dont know if its the informative standard settings thats changed or if its in the physics.
But it was perfect and now that is gone :(

Just did the sixpack trophy... and it was no fun at all. The 911 GT1 drives like the worst nightmare IMO. No downforce in the Porsche corners or too slow at the straights. Maybe i messed up the setup, but the AI was just at 45 but i still finished last. I'm not a great driver but not THIS bad. Is the 911 GT1 supposed to be such a nightmare? Such a frustrating experience.

Im a picky driver and by no means a SMS fanboy. I use a TX wheel on the Xbox. I'm sorry for your experience. I personally find an improvement with the FFB and the loose setup seems to sharpen the cars response. Especially with turn in.

It only won in 98 cause it was realible. Mercedes and others were faster.

On other Tracks that dont require higher speeds you might be competitive but overall it wasnt their fastest car
