GTR2 is still an amzing game, and heavily mod supported. Even active leagues still. The game was a 2006 (?) release. You can pick it up on Steam for about $3 quite often.... I strongly suggest giving it a try. It will run on that older PC quite easily. It's still the benchmark for a lot of sim racers.

Is there an Indycar/CART mod for GTR2 ?
 
Someone asked earlier if we can force disable Best Line for MP races, and you can see we have that option now. ("FORCE DRIVING LINE OFF")

That is great!

Speaking of which, the dynamic racing line in pCARS 1 just didn't feel right to me personally compared to F1 2016 and how other games have done it. The braking zones etc. just felt off when trying to do a decent lap time with it...to such an extent that I just switched it off again as it felt more like a liability than actually assisting me.

Now don't get me wrong I've always had a strict policy not using dynamic racing line whatsoever but being married and 2 toddlers it sure reduces the time it takes to learn a new track etc.

Have you guys reworked your formula for your dynamic racing line for pCARS 2?

So far, 45 max for console.

I think it's 56 for pc users.

The number of cars is given in the "maximum grid size" field, which is set to 16 in the example above

What your mistook with the number of cars is the car classes choice
That said, I do hope too that we'll be able to set 50+ opponents (especially Le Mans and every Nords' tracks)

I asked last night and so far i was told for console 45 cars is max. And I think 56 for Pc

Too bad they can't raise console number's by 5. So close yet so far !

It all comes down to limited resources within the console. In order to increase that number they would have to drop something else. Unfortunately, it is the nature of P2P multiplayer. Too many hardware resources needed to manage the online room/data.

Same is true for single player. As Ian stated in the Q&A thread, 2 of the 4 cores in the CPU are dedicated to the tire model alone.
 
Is there a competitor to the funhaver? Would the RAM runner be one? Just trying to see what other off road trucks they may have added or considered.
It is a 100% one-off custom built for Vaughn Gitten Jr.

There is nothing else in the world like it, so it has not true "competitor.

It will be a fun "spec" racer, or just a fun thing to throw around on your own.
 
How did it went wrong with the PD licensing?

Misunderstanding - what I was saying was that PD got the licence for the car before the real world project went horribly wrong. Getting a licence for that car now, after the whole thing went south, would I imagine be impossible given that Nissan would prefer the whole thing never happened.
 
Getting ready for the 2017 Bathurst 6hour. In the Megane 275. Simulated today's conditions with light rain-light rain-rain.
Held my own versus the Evos(as much as I could against the Evo VIII) and A45.

Hopefully, when I select my 4 road car classes, the Caterham won't show up in a tin top event.
