Raced last season in British GT too.

The McLaren 570S GT4 was in its developmental season in 2016. For 2017, it made its customer debut at Daytona, which I in fact saw first hand.

Questions about liveries for PCARS 2 :

In Pcars1 I noticed that custom livery for livery player was in 1024x1024 :
so i think that all ingame resolution for livery player in pcars1 and Pcars 2 was/are in 1024x1024.
for Pcars1, some player had made a pack "HQ Liveries Project CARS" in 2048x2048.
HQ Liveries Project CARS - High Resolution Livery Textures for all models from Project CARS.

1 - in Pcars2, Is it possible to have high quality for custom player livery in 2048x2048 and all in game livery player in 2048x2048, instead of 1024x1024, in default.

remember this information in Pcars official Forum :

2 - in Pcars2, Is it a technical problem to have all custom livery player and ingame livery player in this format 2048x2048, and wheel liveries in 1024x1024 ?

3 - in Pcars2, Is it possible to have 2048x2048 format for custom online AI livery and ingame online AI livery ?
=> i have 4096x4096 format online in dedicated server...So, i think no. works with gtx 660m.

4 - finally, in Pcars2, what will be the format of all ingame liveries ? ingame livery player, ingame AI livery player, ingame wheel livery, custom livery player.

in Pcars1, i made 4096x4096 for livery player and 1024x1024 for wheel, and it was ok.

Bigger is better, bigger is beautiful 👍;)

thanks for answers.

What about Free HD Textures Pack in 2048x2048 ?

if the internal AI liveries are 1k x 1k, then for the reason of limited memory. The AI livery is the same as the HD livery, only stored a second time in a smaller format.
You'll not see a big difference while racing, in photo mode youre right. Bigger is better.
But as i know this system will not really change.

For those on pc i think there should be an option for 2k & 4k skins. I certainly notice ugly low res skins I really think they ruin the look of the game. In Assetto Corsa i usually run 4k for mod skins if i can but some times there is an option for 8k even.

your right. Also tried really highend textures in Pcars1/2 too, and it works. But the amount of texturebuffer increases exponential if you change size of textures, therefore the texture buffer too. Textures are loaded on demand, so e.g. every time a player joins an onlinesession, all other players have to reload the textures for this player. This process is faster, when textures are small. Maybe that is also one of the reasons for stuttering, when players join. You can't preload all textures in the game, that are many GB's, just in the current sizes.

I'm in PC and my only question was :

in recommended format 2048x2048, and wheel liveries in 1024x1024 ? Because 2048 is better !

For Example, in Pcars1, From HD livery in format DDS 4000x4000, when resize livery in showroom is :
livery result in 4000, 2048, 1024 :

For crying out loud... @Satco1066 JUST told you the technical reason for not doing it. What part don't you understand?????

We already have more than enough complaints about the mid session join stutter. You really want to make that worse?
