I'm not sure how it works but when SMS licence a car, would they put in the contract that they can use them in future titles?
For example licence Ferrari for 3 games.

Can probably expect every PC1 car to be in plus the new ones

Only past PC1 cars I've seen/known about, are the Mustang GT, Lancers, Ginettas. I don't know if well see the Oreca Nissan, Ruf cars, Mercedes "Red Pig", CLK DTM.

Might not be every car making it back. Maybe they sacrificed the SLS AMG GT3 for the A45 BTCC car and deleted the Audi Quattro GTO for the V8 Quattro DTM. We'll find out in the next 5 months.

It's already been stated and confirmed that not all cars in PC1 will be returning. We just don't know which ones yet.

We know and can assume that the MP4-12Cs are unlikely to be returning. Road car unknown.
If we get the GTLM version of the M6, you can expect the M3 GT to go.
I wouldn't expect the old spec SLS GT3 to make a return.
If we get the older version of the Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3 and it's replaced with the new spec.
We might lose the fictional racing RUFs if we have the Porsche equivalent.
Maybe if they get the real Toyota GT86 GT4, we might lose that RocketBunny GT.

That's 8.

We know we have the GTO.

Bite your tongue about deleting the Quattro GTO. That is a bad*ss car with great sound and fun to drive,LOL I know you bring it up because of the DTM but SHhhhh let it slide.

I like the Audi gto as well. If they just add 1 or 2 more imsa GTO cars to play along with that and the Nissan 300zx turbo we're getting, then we golden. Forza 6 had a nice set of imsa cars.

We know we have the GTO.

All good bets, but as stated, still unconfirmed, so purely speculation at this point.

As I understand it, the Rufs are most likely all gone, due to Porsche's licensing terms. My understanding on that is that they are pretty adamant that new releases featuring Porsche will NOT feature Ruf as well. They are allowing it in existing games where Porsche is being added as a DLC (such as Forza, AC and iRacing), but brand new releases must be Porsche only if they want the Porsche license.

Or so I have heard anyways.......

That's fine, all the RUFs we had were basically versions of pre-existing Porsches. The CTR3 is like a Carrera on crack, the RGT-8 is your basic 911S I think, and that last one with 700HP is just a weirdo thing.

So we'll probably get the current gen 911, 911 Turbo S, 911 R, GT3RS, and GT3 Race Car

Hm...in-car the game looks very similar to pCARS1 in terms of graphics. I wonder if this is an older build or maybe running on a low-end machine and some settings are not cranked up.

I'll go with older build for this. I wasn't looking at the graphics in fairness. I was looking at the colour changes in tarmac on circuit. E.g. The inside by the wall beside the pits.

It looks amazing, TBH the graphics in PC1 was brilliant so they don't need to have massive improvement seen as it is on the same systems, it's the physics, force feedback and content that I care most about. :)
That's exactly why I was looking at the darker tarmac. Plus, this is a Youtube video so expect it to be compressed a fair amount as well.

Looking at the head movement I'd guess that video was shot while in VR, which usually compromises graphics a bit.

No its just the helmet camera view (with Helmet turned off) with look to apex on. It was in PC1 also.
Yeah, I think you're right about that one.

Probably Youtube has a bit to do with the looks, you guys are right.
I just remember the pCARS1 days where there were huge improvements made over where things were at the start, but I should have my expectations in check since this is more of a polish than an overhaul of the graphics. I probably care way more than an average player about this stuff anyway.

My bet for the 1993 Jaguar V12 is the disqualified XJ220C

Won the race but was disqualified post race for technical infringements. Don't recall the full details.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. Expands another class.

Pulling out of sportscar racing, though, wasn’t the only momentous thing to happen to Jaguar in ’93 because that was also the year the V12 would come back to break Jaguar’s heart.

Hmm. I'd classify DQ despite winning as breaking hearts.

The way the track looked with the different stages of wetness only serves to make me more excited about Live Track 3.0. Just a pity there were no actual puddles left.

This was at a stage where there was just damp areas on circuit.

Yorkie_From_AOR_Forum
As it's showing off a bit of LiveTrack 3.0, here are some things to look out for:
- It's a drying track surface, with a drying line in some area's as you can see with a lot of water still laying around which has pooled at the lower points of the circuit.
- There are damp area's too! So not standing water, but not completely bone dry either.
- Pay particular attention to the exit of puddles as laps go on. You'll be able to see damp area's extending as the tyres are pulling water from the puddles and dragging it along the track.
- Aquaplaning, running through deep water at speed leads to lose of grip. It's scary as *, yet seriously cool.

The above is with 1 car on track. With multiple cars driving around, a drying line will form quicker as each car disperses standing water from puddles and drags it out of puddles. The racing line may no longer be the best line. The amount of water on the track can also dictate the amount of spray being flicked up. So even if it has stopped raining, if the car infront of you drives through a damp part of the circuit or through a puddle, each tyre will flick up water onto the windscreen of your car....and yes, you can have one side of the car in a damp bit, and the other not, and spray only flicks up from the tyres in the wetter areas.

I saw small puddles on the edges of the track. The Long Beach article outlined where water flows on the track during a drying state.

In my view, SMS is unlike some other developers in that they don't simply throw detail and post-processing effects at a game until it's "photorealistic". Their art direction is superb, with brilliant palettes throughout the changing time of day, outstanding simulated clouds and lighting effects, and tracks that somehow feel like more of a tangible place than usual, which has made it noticeably easier to learn the ones that are new to me.

Best of all, SMS doesn't sacrifice features or qualities I've wanted for years just for the sake of extra shiny graphics, so PCARS has every right to look as good as it does. It would be nice if the framerate in PCARS2 was a locked 60fps on my standard PS4, but I don't think it's worth giving up the things PCARS offers over the competition to make that happen.

Not even remotely in the ball park.
