To pass so aggressively through the curbs/grass and the car remains completely stable is unrealistic especially in Schwedenkreuz where he go over the curb/grass while downshift off throttle.
This should cause oversteer in Schwedenkreuz which does not happening, from both pass over curb/grass and downshift off throttle in mid corner.Instead of that the car understeer. That will break the car though. Suspension damage is fully implemented. You can do it a few times short term at best.

That's actually awesome that you can damage the suspension by curb cutting. Lillte by little all the exploits to be faster are being removed. That will break the car though. Suspension damage is fully implemented. You can do it a few times short term at best.

Agree seems a bit too tame on the kurbs. To pass so aggressively through the curbs/grass and the car remains completely stable is unrealistic especially in Schwedenkreuz where he go over the curb/grass while downshift off throttle.
There is little weight transfer but the inside tires are still very important. That is after all how it is mathematically determined if a car will oversteer or understeer due to weight transfer. Decreasing inside tire grip will have a very noticeable effect. If you cut the apex you should go off track on exit or have excess wheel spin. Has a familiar ring to it.To be fair, on the corner in question, which I had to google to find it, there is very little steering lock applied and downshifting from 6th to 5th is not going to create anywhere near the torque or forward weight transfer that going from 3rd to 2nd would for example.
I knew we would end up here. There is little weight transfer but the inside tires are still very important. You were right about this part.Again, not in all circumstances. In corners you can take flat out where the speed is high enough that loss of traction isn't an issue would be the most obvious example where a decrease in traction will have little to no effect on the car.

Schwedenkreuz is a well known dangerous corner on the full Nords. If you are at the limits of grip and put a wheel or two up on the grass, it could well result in trouble from upsetting the balance of the car and breaking the airflow underneath. Do a YT search on the corner and you'll find a few compilations of people crashing in the corner. I also believe spectators are not allowed in that area as well.It actually doesn't seem that crazy of a cut. It doesn't look like he put more than a wheel or two over. Also, it's a GT3 car which produces quite a bit of downforce so at those speeds he'd still have quite a bit of grip. Furthermore, that curb isn't particularly tall.
Simulating same perfect weather and if LT3.0 can be brought of up same rubbered in conditions, I'd be worried if the fastest professional Sim racer, can best the fastest lap. Equal the lap time? Sure, but shouldn't be faster. I'll add same car, suspension set up, aero and especially gearing.I was just watching this on my morning tea break and was about to post it.. as an Aussie my first track was always going to be Bathurst, but I have now found my car
Edit: I'm not 100% sure on the lap time as I couldn't watch the video in HD (phone coverage) but the lap times in the gt3s seem to be a couple seconds slower.. even though this looked like he was on the limit maybe a setup and better track conditions will improve the times.

I'm an average player. So, I should be no where near these times, if this game is simulating physics, as close to real, as possible.
Someone mentioned a bump(i can't recall in PC1, Doesn't appear to be in the video) at Forest's Elbow. Let us say that adds a tenth to lap times, beginners on up to just below the best sim racers, shouldn't be equaling these lap times anyway. To me, that doesn't take away the immersion. Just makes me hone my race craft.
I'm hoping we can run 45 cars on that bad boy for XBONE. i want to do a Bathurst festival of Speed, 24H, 12H, 6H, 1000 and Challenge Bathurst.I understand what you are saying but I think you misunderstood me, I just watched the video in HD (so I can see the lap times clearly on the dash) and it was a 2:10 on the last lap, what I was saying before is he looked pretty commited and fast but for it to only be a 2:10 seems a bit to slow, which is also a good thing as I can't wait to get my hands on the game as my best lap I've done is a 2:02.982 in the mclaren 12c on pcars 1! So I may feel like I'm flying if I can get a 2:06 going off that video![]()

It depends on the car setup... Always.
In the real world there is no magic setup that will make the car so stable in Schwedenkreuz. In this video is very well explained which curbs are usable and which you never have to touch:It actually doesn't seem that crazy of a cut.
