I wouldn't worry too much. I think peoples hype levels are high and still rising!

Its looking really good.

The second video above has the AI set to about 25% by the looks of it. Hence driving past them (despite some horrendous player driving lines) easily by turn 5... The AI are really looking great at the moment in so many videos above so things like that bother me.

The second one, well, a Vulcan at old Monza oval...

To be (again) fair to Stefan, I think it's Bandai Namco on those videos...

I don't know where you're finding so many uncleared videos Stefan but I wish you wouldn't :)

We're allowing all WMD members to vote on their videos for release as they know what bugs are remaining, what work is outstanding and can set the AI to sensible levels and mostly, can drive properly...

Don't get me wrong, you're posting a load of cleared videos also which I appreciate but some are causing me to cringe as they have bugs already fixed.
eek Sorry about that, Ian. I don't post every video I see, mainly ones which seem somewhat original, even then, I usually don't watch the full video, especially the longer ones, but i'll try to be more careful/strict from now on and look for any clear bugs, etc. :)

That helmet view with a VR headset has to be one of the best ways to enjoy the game. I may have to find one for the PC and experience it myself after release.

Can't remember which video it was, but a touring car was missing the rear hatch. Does this mean cars will still lose the complete front end, like the Ginetta G40?

The rear bumper of that TC was flopping around too!

First post over here as a long time lurker - great community and amazing seeing the massive amount of racing fans all in one place. Pretty humbling seeing a few of my VR videos shared over here. Glad most everyone is enjoying them, if not making them motion sick :yuck:

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and will add a nice little GT4 race I did last night:

Cool to see you here. You're my new favorite YouTuber. Seeing your videos gave me that very last bump over the edge to get a Rift. And it arrives today.
After doing a fair bit of initial testing I can say for certain your videos, while amazing, do not tell the full story. Truly, they can't.
I expected it to be a step forward from what I've become accustomed to with triples, but this is a leap. The videos only give you a small hint at the greatness.

The first time my stomach got light when I took the Corkscrew or when I experienced the camber of the Karussell, I knew this was something else altogether. And all my testing was just in the original game. I can't wait until PC2 to get the further optimized experience.

Tried Rallycross yesterday for first time with the Escort RS1600, was good to use a wheel after a while not using it. Used the default setup as this just over nine day event was coming to an end and thought figuring out which way I needed to go will be more beneficial in terms of lap time. :dopey: Also makes it more of a challenge, managed to do a few laps good enough for first but then my G27 wheel started overheating so didn't manage to make it into the 52's which felt possible going by my best sectors / corners. Video of my fastest lap below:

Ahh this is so cool - makes me happy that your enjoying it. Its one of those once in a life time gaming moment in my eyes. Truly opens your mind to the endless possibilities of this tech - and right now its best application is sim racing, what a great time!

True on the video aspect, while the videos give a little idea whats going, they don't give the HMD's the full justice of whats actually happening inside the thing. In all aspects the VR experience (and the entire game) is a great leap forward from Project CARS 1 - as it should be. Can't wait for Sept.

Back to topic, did this over the weekend :

That video actually looks terrifying.

In the external replay clips posted the sound gain doesn't seem to indicate that the car is getting closer or further away & seems there is no reverberation from the environment. In the recent 918 video you can hear this, they only change the pitch slightly to indicate a slight doppler effect.

This seems at odds with the high quality of the Acura internal video.

Yes, yes yes. I've made a couple post on this same issue. I unfortunately think this is the way it's going to be. Maybe there is a huge update still to come? I was hoping that this vid represented their sound work.

I know I've brought it up before, but the Panoz is not even close to its competition. Notice how quickly the AI 911 gets around the AI Panoz in the first lap.

The Panoz has 500hp and 295km/h top speed. Don't the other GT1 cars have about 600hp?

There are 10 GT1 and 7 GT3, the other 15 split in GT4 & TC. Technically, should be even split in each class.

In game, it appears to be down in power. You can watch any 1998 FIA GT race and see that the Panoz doesn't get left as quickly. Side note: I love the in-game sound of the car.

I think the game might favor putting more cars in your own class rather than splitting the grid in four groups of eight every single time.

I guess it will be all good next month.

Can anyone post a livery video on the 2013 V8 Supercar? I'd like to see if there are any real world liveries or replicas for it.
