Project CARS 3 Car List

I would love to see early 90s GT1 the most, there are so many cars that I never seen in games before like the Supra GT1, R33 GT1 and the SARD MC8 GT1 (looks like a long tail MR2). 2000s GT1 will be a nice addition too, I really hope to see more GT1 in game.

Having early 90s Super GT/JGTC will be cool too, R32 GT1 was such a cool looking car.

oh yea, that odd BMW in that class. The fictional A45 still fits the TCR class quite well along with the DLC Astra TCR but the Megane looks off since TCR rules wanted 4 door cars as minimum requirements.

I guess they could update it to the new Megane RS which is a 4 door. Not sure they'd go to that effort when the 3 door is ready to go.

It will be nice if they update the Megane to the current Megane TCR. I do wonder will they make more fictional cars for that class since they are doing the whole vehicle upgrade thing, a Evo X TCR will be nice too.

I believe the Supra and R33 Skyline are in GT2 as racing modifications.

The best thing would be custom grids, so those who DGAF about strict historical accuracy in class matchups can enjoy the extended diversity of cars that are competitive but never raced, while others can hand-pick a historically accurate grid.

i love this idea. It could also allow us to create funny and interesting races. For example only Italy races etc.etc.

I did many matchups in Enthusia just for the fun of it. USA vs Germany vs Japan, RWD vs AWD, red vs blue, three new cars and their corresponding predecessors...lots of value in a simple feature. :)

lets go further. You can create an event with custom grid. customize every bit of it, name it, select one of the made posters for it, and share it. Other players would see it in their own career mode and game would calculate prize for this race. This would made career mode incredible.

The only thing left for this idea is a power balance. Custom grid is a fun, but in PC terms it will be like everyone at their own league. Mean you could manually close air flow, but it would be cool if game allow auto BOP for a custom grid. On other side, it is still very uncompetitive - put a tunner and GT1 car with same power and weight, there still ton of difference and advantages for a specialized race car.

If anything, SMS should have copied AC. I can customise everything: hand pick each car, name the AI "drivers", name my championship. Except share it.

I doubt the older R8 will return since it got replaced by the newer model in pCARS 2. Not too sure for the rest of them since we have no footage on these cars but I think the Viper is likely for the career upgrades structure.

I would like to take this a few steps further, for the most part unlimited restrictions on setting up personal (sandbox mode) type of races. Then would like the ability to create mini race series (in a sand box type of way). Then allow settings/structure for the series to be saved and shared with others. It could be as restrictive or mostly open for each race in the series as the event creater sets. Meaning difficulty, time of day, percentage of laps, weather could be adjusted by the individual per race. It would also be a dream to actually pick each A.I. drivers car or something to that effect. I would also like to set the difficulty not just overall, but as percentages of the overall field. 25 percent of the A.I. field is at the hardest that you want to compete with. 50 percentage at or slightly above your level and perhaps 25 percent below your level. In my opinion would be great to take something like GT world/campaign or whatever you want to call it. Where you could easily do 25 plus sessions of the same event and they would never seem to be the same.

Brilliant the bring the viper to the game and get rid of the sim.

What sim has been gotten rid of?

Be interesting to see what Formua cars make the cut, I personally wouldn't mind seeing the Formula X disappear in favour of a more modern F1 style car.

The sim handling. Its another shift 2

Where have you seen that? All I've seen is the physics are improved from PC2 which isn't like Shift 2.

Unless you've played it of course and can offer any additional insight?

In terms of the car list. I reck during Dirtt Rally 2.0s DLC cycle they were recording the sounds for a few cars at an airfield and there was a couple of race cars there which weren't being recorded for Dirt. I cant find the post now, but I wonder if these were for PC3.

Been here before when shift was released. Look at the trailer tells you all you need to know

Well ill prepare to be surprised as I doubt it but I'll wait till unpaid reviews are released.

Why not just wait for those reviews right from the start instead of just going around scream arcade while no one outside SMS played the game yet.

At this point whether is it a sim or arcade can be said it is a speculation since no one tried it yet.

There is still some unknown. But I think the arcade or sim thing depends on whether you thought PC2 was arcade or sim. Whatever that was, it's that.

That trailer clearly indicates another grid.

Its the usual try and hoodwink the sim community into thinking its a sim.

They know the sim community buy racing ganes regardless its the arcade crowd they want.

buddy, stop watching the trailer. they put out gameplay. if you wanna take issue with that, be my guest. but stop harping on the same trailer that NOBODY liked

The trailer indicates no such thing. But if that's what you saw then all power to you. Try watching the gameplay. The raw footage of SIM gameplay.

Also this is a car list thread so we should take this 'discussion' elsewhere.

I think the only unknown left for most sim folks is the blocked pit stops, rest of the pCARS2 sim stuff seems to be intact based on their claims so far.

Bumping cars and upgrades is equals to Grid now I guess? Even if they indicates it as Grid, how does it even hoodwink sim players into it when no one thinks Grid is a sim.

If a someone trying to hoodwink sim players into an arcade game, they would have made a trailer that is appeal to sim players instead of making one that has a similar feel to a different arcade title like Grid.

I highly doubt sim players will just buy any racing games, the whole sub genre runs like a cult where any bit of extra effect is instantly labeled arcade and thrown off their sim list.

If a single trailer is enough to proof the game is an arcade then what is the point for sim players like you to stick around? Also considering that majority of the sim community treat the pCARS franchise as the least realistic, was it even surprising if they really switch to be more arcade?

SUpra is in the game. I wonder if tuning it will make it look like the Supra GT4.

The irony being Grid doesn't have upgrades
