I think the new cars will be extra, not just replacements.SMS usually keeps content, this will be the case. There will be events for historic cars like Shift 2 from what GameRiot said, so no worry for stuff like that going away.

I've only used a handful of the cars in Project Cars 2 but it's great that they're their if I want to.
Don't like the 3,2,1 Go that's too NFS.

This thread has provided some of the most... Unique, complaints for a racing game I've ever come across.

p
I think its just gonna be pointless complaining because its not what "they" wanted.
And I didn't like the tyre sliding noise! It way it was chattering it sounds more like ABS pulsingnah, i felt this... i loved the lights in PC2. the countdown feels like something out of 2006

Right -- I don't know why you lads have the unrealistic floating sprite of the starting lights enabled. That's so arcade.Don't worry, I expect you'll be able to switch off the HUD countdown just like you can turn off the HUD lights in PC2. I have and rely solely on the track gantry start lights. Much more realistic.
Since its cross gen 👎 i think this maybe the best we getWill this game come out on the ps5 in the future?
New PS4 games must also run on PlayStation 5 from July, Sony tells devs
Is there a reason you are refusing to see what the majority of people see in the gameplay footage and trailer? The game definitely looks more simcade than anything. Judgement will be reserved for when it releases but to say that this is anything like what people expected from PC3 is laughable. I'm more mad at myself for not expecting this when I saw that Codemasters were developing the game.
I absolutely see what the footage has shown so far, but I... you know... actually like the direction the series is heading in?
This may come as a shock to people in the sim racing community, but people can have different opinions.
At least it's a representation of an actual race start. Much better than 3,2,1Right -- I don't know why you lads have the unrealistic floating sprite of the starting lights enabled. That's so arcade.
If the lights are too small to see, then your FOV must be unrealistically high, not set according to your mandatory calculated FOV. Arcade!

It be nice if it was made from the ground up for next gen only but.
It will not surprise me if the game has both, under a setting. An authentic race start matters more in online racing, and for that reason I doubt they scrapped it. I admit I had not thought of that.At least it's a representation of an actual race start. Much better than 3,2,1

Crazy how money can ruin things.
Kunos Simulazioni (Assetto Corsa developer) was purchased by Digital Bros. Nowadays Assetto Corsa’s scope has been narrowed down to series-licensed GT3 and GT4 racing instead of covering a bit of everything automotive. Whether you like that may be a matter of taste, but thought-provoking that one of the talented Kunos founders has since left the company.
Codemasters eventually bought SMS and Project CARS now looks like it has sold its soul to casual appeal. Possibly because Codemasters dictates where its teams should focus in the market. Hope we’re all wrong, but it looks that way.
Only thing I don’t understand is why Project CARS 3 needs Bandai Namco when Codemasters is an independet publisher. Maybe some old contract between SMS and Bandai binding the ties?
It’s exactly that, the projects started under BN before the Codemasters purchase still have to be honoured.Only thing I don’t understand is why Project CARS 3 needs Bandai Namco when Codemasters is an independet publisher. Maybe some old contract between SMS and Bandai binding the ties?
I did think about putting that but I held back.Right -- I don't know why you lads have the unrealistic floating sprite of the starting lights enabled. That's so arcade.

No wonder the sim racing community has a massive problem with gate keeping when this is the reaction to a developer trying to make a game that isn't some boring, hyper realistic racing sim.
Of course, considering this is the racing genre's equivalent of Randy Pitchford, now owned by the monopolizing force of the racing game industry, I have my doubts as to whether it will actually be as good as Ian likes to boast his games are, or if there will be the same problems that have plagued his games since Shift 2. Especially on the controller front.
But this thread has been utterly embarassing with how virulently some people want to label this as 'arcade, and jerk off about how much frivolous sim racing **** they own.
Arguing, about a numbered countdown? Christ people, go outside if you're really trying to argue about *that*.
