Project CARS 4: General Discussion Thread

AMS2 should've come to this gen consoles, I reckon it would of done alright, it's been a long time in between anything really, AC & ACC are shallow on console & I bet ACE will be the same regarding mods & the fact that consoles are always behind.

It's strange how out of all modern titles though I still prefer PC2, AMS1, R3E, Race 07 & GTR2 as base games, if I'm going to think about any mods then it has to be the Power & Glory mod, it's just fantastic.

Lets hope this PMR from Mr Bell hits the right spot.

Taking into account that it uses the PC2 engine, it would not be so complicated to launch on consoles at some point.

But with Reiza collaborating in PMR, it seems difficult to me that AMS 2 will reach consoles.

Do you have a link for info on that, as I wasn't aware that Reiza were directly involved, particularly as S4G have stated they are using a new engine and not the Madness engine.

Reiza missed the window for a console release, definitely should've/could've/would've by now.

We're getting all this new sim gear arriving & nothing much to do with it, we still don't get full compatibility like you do on PC, take the handbrake mode on the thrustmaster th8a for instance or just plugging things into your USB port.

The console market is just saturated with FPS, RPGs & H&S etc. Saying that, the last decent non sim game I played was Still Wakes The Deep.

Ah, yep was aware of that one, it's over a year old now, and since then we've had the 'it's a whole new engine and physics system info' so I'm not sure how applicable it still is now.
With the engine change it is possible that the collaboration with Reiza has come to nothing, it would be a shame.

It would indeed, but fingers crossed they are sharing what they learn about the underlying models that feed into the respective physics engines.
