As I've said a few times, it really is a modern Toca Race Driver in terms of game design/style. A focus on motorsport/racing with a good number of cars from several different classes and a ton of tracks to race them on. Again, focus.

The bonus of course is that pCARS will boast much better physics than the Toca games, and of course modern graphics.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

With the whole 75 car number thing, I don't car how many cars there are, just that they all don't feel completely identical.

Also, in my opinion, more tracks is better than more cars...

Well that you can be sure of. Each car has (or will) be fine-tuned individually to get the physics just right and have that individual feel. Obviously I can't post them here but in the dev forum there is a long thread for each car with hundreds of tweaks to each over the course of their development by the physics guys. Even tyres are not generic, each car has been tested with several different types of tyre with different properties and characteristics, members giving feedback on which is best. The final choices for each car will come from a range of 15-20, I believe.

Any indication of when/if they'd be updating the MP4-12C GT3 model to 2013 specs? They did it for the Audi and I'd expect them to do the same for the McLaren considering their license press release.

They should at least keep the 2012 versions alongside the 2013 cars though. The 2012 spec R8 is arguably a more iconic car than the 2013 taking into account it's utter dominance in 2012 and many team's decision in 2013 to revert back to the old spec for the more favorable BoP.

75 well modeled cars coupled with the enormous number of real world and fantasy tracks in the game is more than enough for me as well. I'm more interested in the physics, feedback from the wheel, good graphics and a good game. Sheer numbers mean nothing without the basics being handled well.
I'm hoping for the more the merrier, I really enjoy driving & testing all the factions of cars from road, to Nascar, Rallies, GT, Formula 1 etc. that's what I really liked in GT Series till GT6 came along.

Hoping they will in time of course end up with the quantity of cars & yes to keep up with the quality of them with the flushed out cockpits & keeping them ALL premium with a legitimate Physics would be one Amazing simulation game, & to focus on the game ONLY to listen to us & our needs.

I'm sure it'll be the new simulation game that can become # 1 & topple the rest of the simulation games in the industry at least that's what I'm hoping for, something new, something fresh after the fiasco that's been going on with gt6 & it's micro transaction, physic, sounds, etc. Unbelievable.

But they are race modified cars, not 4 seats and a boot road cars.
True, but there are many street cars in the game already. I'd just like to see a few that are lower powered for racing as I think it often makes for a better racing experience overall, at least in my experience.

Basically you would like the same model with a roll cage and stripped interior, something I would also like

I'd like the stock car too...and maybe another "saloon" version with basically the same power but a roll cage, stiffer suspension, grippier tires, tunable transmission etc.... that sort of thing. Being able to slap a number on it goes a long way too. I know I'm dreaming but...:D

I'd like to see some lower powered saloons and hatchbacks too, things like Lotus Elises, Honda Civics, etc., but a line has to be drawn somewhere, otherwise you risk turning the game into another NFS Shift/FM/GT, which is what the devs wanted to avoid.

Maybe PCARS2 should have a class like SCCA Showroom Stock where all the roadcars could go. They could be minimally modified for racing and grouped into classes.

Is there a specific reason why the carmakers Honda, Mazda and Nissan aren't included?
Maybe there was just a lack of interest in these manufacturers amongst the community.

Yes, the specific reason is that SMS are creating the game with a limited budget in comparison to other big publisher backed studios, limited number of staff and limited time. They would love to include 80 manufacturers and those three in particular are certainly highly desired by the community and SMS, they just haven't come (yet).

And that's totally understandable, I'll buy the game anyway, it was just a selfish question, because they are my favourite manufacturers. We can always hope for future DLC when the game is successful.(it will)

Also, the Indycar license was totally unexpected, so there may be more licenses in the pipeline that we don't know about. We will just have to wait and see. Also, other manufacturers may become interested in supporting the game once it is released and they see the quality of the product.

Indycar, right! Doesn't that technically include the Honda and Chevy license, or how does that work?

In the same way the Oreca license incudes Judd or Nissan engines. The right to use the engine logos is held by the governing body or team.
