Question, is Aston Martin totally out, or are they still a possibility?

+1 except for Ferrari too.

Haven't been here in awhile and I'm not quite sure when looking at the car list but has there been any new cars?

Clever foxy. :D

It is currently being built, close to being complete actually. Will be a diesel, with the Mazda Skyactive being the obvious role model.

I don't watch drag racing, but it would be awesome to have a dragster included.. I know for a fact that (in real life) Hokenhiem and Sonoma have a drag strip. In my opinion, if SMS wanted to appeal to a small audience in North America, get these included. Still have yet to see a multi-variety game have a Dragster.

I, too, would love to see a Dragster, but I can't imagine that the physics for road racing (and even oval racing) would apply to them. I think that might be the biggest hurdle they face in being included. They're insane though.

I'd much rather see a Pro-Stock included, since the races last marginally longer and the racing within that class is almost always incredibly close. That's if I only had to choose just one. Both would be lovely, as well as Funny Cars.

In agreement with Wardez, I thought it would be best to have the car and track lists in seperate threads, since it tends to get overlooked in the OP of the massive main pCARS thread. Me or the mods will try to keep it updated.

It’s great to see they included my all time favorite car the Pagani Zonda R
But I am sad to not see the following:

Ferrari 599 GTB, 599XX, ENZO
Aston Martin One 77
Lamborghini Reventon, Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, Aventador
Porsche Carrera GT

Tbh, the cars listed a few posts above me are cars I don't really want.

@DG_Silva you're forgetting about these

Technically you can bring anything to a track day, such as a diesel S-Type and a Transit van.

GTG, I haven't forgotten about those, they have their place in the game because they are feeders for the Touring Car or GT serie. If you go to a track day, you are likely to see those cars pounding round, and they all have their history and pedigree in racing.

PW, you can take anything to a track, but you are far more likely to see those cars on track than you are $0.75-1.5m hypercars. To me, they are far more enjoyable, in a game or a sim, to drive than the hypercars you can hardly control.

Sure, but of course many people would love to see such hypercars in a game, because those people dream of driving them. As you say, this is a 'racing sim' over a general driving game such as GT/Forza et al. And as such it should be pushing the 'racing' elements rather than losing it's identity (such as GT over the years!)

However, come PCars 2 I would hope for more hypercars and road cars, and have some proper game modes and career progression for them. Things such as motorshows, test driver days, 'richman' track days etc could all be included for such cars, as well as the odd race series (such as the FXX races Ferrari host, and also for the future McLaren P1 GTR) Just a little bit of imagination to integrate road cars / hypercars is needed for PCars. Just because these cars are included doesn't mean it has to bring the same dullard 'race' setup that GT/Forza have.

I understand that not every game can be all things to all men, but I would rather the devs focus on racing, so for pCARS2 I would prefer them to concentrate on a wider range of vehicles within the disciplines they have, so for example, to go with the Type 78, I would love the Williams FW07, Tyrrell P34 and Ferrari 312 T3. For the Touring cars, maybe bring in the Chevrolet Lacetti, MG 5, and so on. I know that hypercars sells games, but I feel if that the devs wanted to move in that direction, they could have quite easily.

I loathe the popularity of exotics in racing games (online multiplayer in Forza Horizon is almost exclusively R-class racing :yuck: ), but I agree with @GTAndy36 that the concept of taking a roadcar and going racing with it could be taken in a more creative and plausible direction than the formula that Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport have squatted on for a decade plus, without departing from a focus on circuit racing in purpose-built cars.

However, in terms of what Slightly Mad should tackle next, I would like to see rally/WRC racing first, and I sincerely hope that includes giving the Wii U another go. 👍

Remember guys, this is a racing sim, not a driving sim. All of those cars above have no place in a racing or trackday environment.

Agreed. For other stuff we have GT and Forza. There are enough unneeded cars like the moon mobile and so on ^^

But yeah, Lambo and Ferrari are classics brands and must be in every game.

I know that there are folks out there that want everything the way that they want it and anything else is just ridiculous to them, but with all due respect, I am not afraid to say that I love the Hypercars, always have, and always will, that is what tons of us dream about from the first day we see them. I would love to have the hypercars, Sorry if that gets anyone upset but I personally love them, end of story.

I have seen post where people have stated that they don’t want good graphics as long as physics are good, well I want Great Graphics, Great Physics, Great GamePlay, Great Sound, more Cars (Not like Gran Turismo where there are 100 GT-R’s, and a million run of the mill street cars, though I do love the GT Vision Cars!!), I also want more wheel support on PS4 (What good is a so called Sim Racer without support for some of the great wheels already in the hands of most PS Racing fans). Of course we can’t get everything, but why limit what you ask for? Ask/Wish/Dream Greatness and maybe we can get some of it.

I have placed my pre-order for the PS4 from day one availability and can barely wait for it to come out, but come on everyone, nothing is perfect and adding more great stuff can only be a good thing.

From the Project Cars website:

http://www.projectcarsgame.com/cars.html

Project CARS covers a wide variety of machines and motorsports.

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to cars; some love the sleek, smooth lines of an Italian supercar, some love the raw power of a US muscle car. And we all have ourfavourites when it comes to motorsports, teams, and drivers.

We're passionate about cars too which is why we've made sure Project CARS covers all the styles and forms of racing and car culture that you love...

SUPERCARS
Supercars, Exotics, Hypercars... whatever you want to call them, they're the cars we had on our walls as children and the cars that make our heads turn as adults.

With six or seven figure price tags, alluring bodywork, perfectly-balanced power, exquisite handling, and immeasurable desirability they're the cars of our dreams and theultimate expression of design, beauty, and technical collaboration.

Whilst players will be able to test and race these machines in special events and bespoke one-make series within their career, we want you to also enjoy these rides in thesetting you're most used to seeing them - the open road. Stay tuned over coming months to see the gorgeous road courses you'll be able to drive these cars on but for now, sitback and enjoy these stunning shots...
