Project CARS car list

You sir certainly have bad taste for cars but let's leave that discussion for another time.
You say that iRacing has the best GT3 cars...I'm not sure if you have noticed but Project CARS has the same GT3's that they have plus a few extras, Project CARS has the strongest GT car list. You need to understand that the reason they have a few community LMP1 and LMP2 cars is because earlier in the project they didn't expected to get the Oreca 03 LMP2 or the Audi R18 LMP1 so they filled those gaps, you still prove that you don't understand anything about game development and I'm not going to be concerned with your trolling again.

Pardon me if I'm not offended by your judgement in my taste of cars. Ironically, I never mentioned a single car I wish they had included. Therefore your ability to criticize my "taste" in cars as bad, is nothing short of hilarious.

You implied you find nothing appealing about a diverse list of well-regarded historical racecars, including Gr.A/DTM touring cars, Lotus formula cars, and a few Gr.5 and Gr.C cars, as well as contemporary touring cars, stockcars, trackday cars, and a few prototypes. This thread has already seen members wander over from the Gran Turismo section wondering where all the roadcars are, which is where @wicken's first reply came from. It's just a bit odd to see a motorsports-minded guy (as you seem to be with your iRacing experience and "crappy roadcars like the Mustang GT" comment) who can't find anything to like here.

I can relate to being turned off from a game because it doesn't include any of your favorite manufacturers, but I guess I'm lucky because this game covers most of them (BMW, Caterham, Porsche via Ruf).

Get out of here troll..."generic racecars" my 🤬 , those LMP1's are amazing. Wasting our bloody time with ya.

If you want a game with a lot of everyday street cars, play GT6. Meanwhile the rest of us will be enjoying what's shaping up to be the greatest cross platform (PC/Consoles) racer ever.

Shall we get back to the more pleasent matter at hand? The amazing car list? :D

Not sure if this has been discussed, but the Limited Edition cars... are they going to be solely available in that edition, or will they be available as DLC later for all?

Wait what are the exclusive cars?
If the Limited Edition and Pre-order cars aren't available a few months after release these will be the exclusive cars:
  • McLaren F1
  • Sauber C9
  • BMW M1 Procar
  • Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupé DTM
  • Ford Mk IV
  • Ruf CTR3 SMS-R
  • Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
  • Ariel Atom 3 Mugen

Somebody needs a lesson in reading comprehension. Generic race cars referring to the fictional vehicles listed on page 1. You boast on the "simulation" aspect of this game, yet the litter the car list with fictional vehicles. How can a game with fake cars be considered a simulation? And once again, the assumption that I want to see road vehicles does nothing but make you look like the idiot. Never go full retard....

Oh nice! When can I pre-order for PS4?

Live 4 speed's car list is almost entirely fictional but nobody really complains about it and it is praised for realistic physics. A SIM experience is about replicating what a car might feel like to drive, the RWD P30 feels, sounds and looks like an LMP1 car as it should, the car being fictional does detract from the experience.

Based on the wording of the official page, I'm pretty sure the Modified Car Pack is a normal DLC that is included for free with the LE.
How can a game with fake cars be considered a simulation?
Simple. It simulates how a real car would behave with the corresponding parameters. Every car in any game is just an array of values that plug into the physics engine. Whether the car actually exists in real life or not makes no difference. Not to mention that the presence of a fictional car does nothing to undermine the simulation aspects of any licensed car...

That ain't exactly true. If anyone is planning to get the normal or LE version on local retailers, you can be sure that the pre-order cars won't be included. You can only get the full package if you pre-order online.

Very good point.

SMS were doing so well up till now. Then some business advisor has stepped in! (That's what it looks like!!)

I have pre-ordered the Limited Edition through JB HiFi online here in Australia (followed the preorder link from the Project Cars website) as there is no specific Project Cars online store. I assume this gets the full package...

I'm sorry if I'm being one of those "idiots" who order limited editions to get the extra perks and contribute to the way games are marketed these days but I'm genuinely interested in the book, not to mention I want to support a developer who has done things the right way and asked the fans what they want - hopefully it sets a benchmark that we will all benefit from.

@Punknoodle, I can fully understand what you mean. There's so much going on in the forums, I've no doubt missed something, so I'd like to pre-order LE version myself, but the devs are trying to secure an LE edition for Full Members and above.

Personally I think the car list is set (#stopitwiththeroadcars). If only they could get an Aston Martin license for the V12 Vantage GT3...but I understand that may not be possible. I'll make do with the Bimmer. :P

we need that nismo gt-r gt3!
FTFY :P Either way...a Nissan license...may be hard to come buy thanks to Kaz.

Well, i'm fine with a GT3 Nismo GT-R too! We already have one Nissan i think...

It was something I can quote from the Bandi games guy at comic con who said there was a partnership with Nissan & Nismo, he said the Nismo GTR was included. However he was also an idiot

Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is one of the 3 new cars added
