British and German cars. That's what Project CARS has. If someone doesn't like British or German cars, they probably won't be impressed by the car list.

SMS didn't cover enough bases in the licenses they were able to negotiate. That's not really SMS's fault, but people are entitled to be dissatisfied with it. If you don't understand what the fuss is about, you might be a fan of European cars.

To be fair, it's not exactly their fault American and Japanese brands haven't been very active in the disciplines PCars covers.

I think lot of people who buy this game will be surprised about the cars in this game

It's not SMS' fault that people are too stupid to research things before buying them. I have no sympathy for anyone that is surprised by the car count after they buy the game.

Car count won't be a problem if i had to guess. I'm coming mainly from GT/Forza and never got bored with the cars in the ~900 hours i've put in the game so far.

Gt is a Japanese game, they have more japanese cars, Forza is an American game, they have a ton of american cars, PCars is a British game...

They are available as DLC at some point (we don't now when). If you buy the Digital Edition you will get them
I would really like a hard copy but Limited Ed is sold out...it's kinda stupid that those cars are limited ed only they should put some special livery on them and let the stock ones be available for everyone...

Sounds like a T10 move.....

Doesn't matter at this stage about cars. Look at the tracks. Learn how the cars handle. I'm deciding am I getting PS4 or XBONE. So far, I don't know about who to trust with the reviews. People may be setting this game too high. If the AI, handling and sounds are right, I'll drive a Gr.A E30 M3 until my controller breaks.

Typo Galore :D

To me PCARS looks like being the biggest, most exciting, and realistic racer ever. Personally i have played every type of racing game in the last 30 years since the days of the ZX Spectrum, til now! If you don't feel it has what you want, why don't you go and play something else? Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but this forum is here for fans of PCARs, who want to play the game with desperation!!! Like i said if you don't like it @jamesst99, look for something else! ;)

Just disappointed, sorry!

for me 65 cars seems more than enough.

like someone said in GT6 with more than 1000 cars, if i played near 100 it was much....

of course as more cars better, and being Pcars a "racing simulator" i whould love to see some WTCC or DTM cars for example or some Ferraris or Nissan-GTR to GT competitions or the Toyota (regarding Porche its almost impossible) from LMP1 that could gave more realism to these competitions inside the game, but i understand that regarding the lower budget , have all these licenses is not easy.

Honestly, I know it's been said before, but I think it's best to play the long game with the car list for Project CARS. And I just don't mean the first game and DLC that will come, but also going into PCARS 2 and beyond.

Race 07 and the ToCA Race Driver series are the main ones that I can think of right now that have tackled motorsport in a similar fashion to what SMS are aiming for with PCARS. Race 07 took several expansions to get close to the variety of motorsport PCARS offers. The Race Driver grew wider in its scope the further it went on. Although ToCA also dropped some things along the way too, but by Race Driver 3, it had a really fun variety of disciplines.

Considering where SMS have had to come from with building the game and putting the pieces together with the budget, the car list seems really, really impressive to me. Even without looking at it from that angle, it's still a list that excites me more than any other game for the best part of a decade. Goes even more to shame what other companies have done with their time and money as far as I'm concerned.

I get that some things may be lacking for many, which is fine, maybe this isn't the series for you yet. Hopefully though, by the time we see where SMS and the series are at come the early to mid 2020s, everyone will be able to get what they want from the series, whether it be those of us who want to have that little bit of everything career, or those who want more street cars, or enough depth in a certain championship area to invest time in it for years, all with a base to provide as close to that real experience as possible as with other sims that don't come close in the variety.

With a bit of luck, SMS will be in a position to benefit from any ending of deals that series and championships have with other companies that will lead to them having the chance to pad out the career to even wider possibilities with a slick official feel to it all.

This is the first chance in a long while to witness a game possibly go down fully the route of really taking on the world of motorsport as it deserves to be taken, and I really hope SMS do get the chance to delve deeper because it's been too long since the ball was last held by someone willing to run with it.
