Project cars DLC

That means it's the superior GTE and we'll get an actual GTE class when it comes out!!!!
We currently have the M3 and Aston GTE cars, so this would be the third, yes? Enough to split into a separate class, which would be good since it would remove the M3 from the GT3 class: it feels a bit strange seeing it mixing in with the GT3 stuff....

Screw the Corvette...just the fact that it means they have some Chevrolet licensing going on behind the scenes is intriguing to me.
I can't think of many cars that could come from the Corvette licence. A Daytona prototype and a couple road cars. I'm probably a bit ignorant tho.

No that's about it probably. :P GM does tend to treat Corvette as it's own brand really.

Mercedes GT3 and Chevy GT3? Holy damn.

Last month's DLC was not so good in my opinion. This one makes up for the next three.

Edit: The only thing I can think of that would be better, is getting them as road cars. But as that doesn't seem to be happening, I'll be fine with this.

These cars won't be here until the next wave of DLC. So the stuff after the first year!

What's the apeal of road cars? Not many people race them so I assume it's wasted content.

To add to that, I don't recall there ever being a GT3 version of the C7.R. There are only 3 in existence. And they're built to GTE spec. Two are raced in the GTLM class at ISMA, and the third is raced in the WEC as GTE AM...... *quick fact: After one of the two C7Rs crashed at lemans this year, Corvette racing borrowed the third one from WEC and raced it in the U.S until the wrecked one was rebuilt*

A new GTE car is fabulous news! I am delighted we are getting the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R GTE as it is a cracking looking race car.

Hopefully SMS put the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE into a new GTE class with the C7.R and perhaps the BMW M3 GT3 put into it's proper class.

So the license could be one of three things:

1) Corvette only license (a couple of race cars)
2) Chevrolet licence (more cars...)
3) GM license (even more cars)

Remember, Cadillac is a GM brand, so you have the Cadillac quasi-GT3 car:

Their ill-fated (ill-timed?) LeMans effort:

Expanding w/ more GMs, you could see a GT4 Camaro (even though the rules this year screwed them)

Any iteration of their NASCAR vehicles which would draw a large crowd with the ovals

The Chevrolet Daytona Prototype (one which hugely intrigues me)

Some WTCC/BTCC options

And then of course, historical options. So it could be a big license...or we're just getting on or two Corvettes.

Out of all those the one i want the most is the Chevrolet Corvette Daytona prototype.

I'm with you, though I'd like to see a competitor's model somewhere too...to me the Daytona Prototype class was always my favourite. Not nearly as tech as the LeMans cars...just huge tires, big motors and a bit of a wing. I think they'd drive a bit like the old Merc we have in-game. Power and speed...at the sacrifice of lightweight/super-aero-efficiency.

I think it'd be a great idea simply because they have the Daytona track on the way. We could also throw them against the LMP2s (the balance of which they royally fooked up with the Tudor series unfortunately)

Re: Classifying the Renault RS.01, I'd dig it if we could have a 'GT Cup' class allowing the one make racing cars from Maserati, Ferrari, Porsche (RUF), and so on to face off.

From there, you could also have a 'Touring Cup' class, which would be great for the Clio Cup car to go against Minis, Fun Cup VWs and so on to compete side by side, maybe even slotting the G40 in there too.

And then we need the ability to customise grids on Quick Race Weekend so we can have GT3, GT4, Touring cars, one make series cars and even LMP3 all in the same field as we do in reality... Okay, I'll stop

Not to mention a Chevy-powered IndyCar.

I think you guys are expecting too much. On SMS instagram, it was said that we would get more GT3 cars. Within a week, teasers of the AMG GT3 and the C7R ( 🤬 yeah, best murrican racecar ever because RRRRRROAAARRRR). Remember, SMS has very limited funds compared to T10/PD, so I would be very, very surprised to see them get such huge licenses and have the manpower still allocated to pcars1 to get all those cars done in time. My best guess would be that after the Renault and Oval DLCs, we will get another historic pack if we re lucky and then a pack of 4-5 GT3 cars.

Let's hope we don't have to wait until PCars 2 for it!!! Probably my favourite GTE car.
Here's a vid of it in action during the 24 hours of Daytona that I found on YouTube:

Hahahah! That's one of the corvette videos that I watch nearly everyday!!

Would be awesome if those traction control/ wheel lock up lights were functional! Or even that "radar" system on the rear view camera feed.

I think they said "at least a couple more GT3 cars." So, on that front, this could be all the GT3/GTE cars we'll see, but I would be surprised if these were all the cars we received after the DLC we're already expecting. Besides, I think SMS may already be using these newer licenses (the other budget) for PCars 2 and deciding to bring a couple to PCars 1. They might be killing two birds with one stone.
