I've noticed that the most recent DLC isn't showing up on the browser based PS Store, but I did find it on the PS4's store.

My question though, do any of the DLC packs get integrated into career mode or is it similar to GT5/GT6 where they're just extras?

Tbh I'm not looking forward to this DLC pack. The track looks boring and so far only one car looks interesting and that's the Ford V8 super car. Damn i was hoping we would of got Red bull ring as the next track.

I'm not a fan of any of the fictional circuits so far and from the videos I've seen, this one won't be any different. Lucky the FG Falcon will keep me happy!

Seems to be like a drift pack like someone above said, but with the V8SC as the free car which i really wasn't expecting. Guess it's a safe bet to put money on Mad Mikes MX5 making an appearance in game in a few weeks?

And then prepare for the new batch of WMD members to start shilling on forums about PCars 2. It now seems like yesterday hearing about the reason for PCars delays was good news as it means SMS were going to release a bug free game....lol.

I'm on WMD2 :)

I dont think anybody ever said "bug free". More polished, yes (and it was), but for example, I know a lot of WMD people who cringed hard when Ian and Tudor bragged that the game would be 99.9% complete at launch and the rest would only be small issues when justifying the last delay.

Well then you'll have an idea of how it feels to live in North Korea soon then...
Exaggerate much? :P
This time round there's no return investment so I guess there is no reason to amplify the hype. Also lots of promises that didn't come through for 1 in the end, so people will be less forgiving concerning ' It's coming in a future update ' talk now.

Yupp....Mazda MX5 Miata "Radbull" is coming this month finally

Nice, but i don't see the point of only having one drift car in the game.....Where's the competition? Nissan or Toyota Drift cars too, to go with the Mazda? It'll be like the BMW Touring car, all by itself now the Ford Focus, Nissan Primera, and Renault Laguna BTCC cars have been cancelled/held over for PCARS 2....

The DLC each month now feels more and more disjointed, and a bit pointless (apart from the Renault pack, they're great, although again, each Renault car is in it's own class.)

From the Renault DLC cars the only car ho isn't a singlemade class is the group 5 Alpine A442B....

The other 3 cars compete in single class in the real world like the clio cup,Mégane Trophy cup..Formula Renault Championship..

But they really had to make more than just an invitational event in the career mode...

With the new DLC income you're right.. 4 cars sure in his own class without others to compete with.

For the vast majority of the WMD backers there was no reason to amplify hype for pCARS 1 either... The return on investment for simple team members was not remotely significant (a nice cup of coffee is basically the difference between amazing sales and poor sales for team member backers, let's be honest).

I was a WMD-1 backer and am also a WMD-2 backer. From my WMD-1 experience, the most difficult part is "having faith" enough but not too much in what will be added. You see a product in development and you know some aspects are looking great, but others are still "Work In Progress". So you can focus on testing things which aren't working properly yet (steering good implementation) but you also have to have faith that the quality of the good bits will be achieved across the entire game.

I would argue that most positive WMD backer comments made in 2013-2014 about pCARS 1 were just guys having faith that the good bits from testing would be the norm. Some things never made it in, some bugs were never fully solved... but when you are looking at beta software with all kinds of "in progress" or "to be added" or "known bug" aspects it's just difficult to be sure what the final result will be.

Sure, there were probably some guys who were deliberately hyping beyond their trust in SMS to deliver, but most guys were just trying to be fair and extrapolate what we saw in testing to the finished product, as good or bad as we could.

WMD-2 will be no different, except for one thing: The bizarre "fanboy" types who want competitor products to fail for some reason can't use profit sharing as a way to undermine any news about pCARS 2. WMD-2 backers will probably be just as fair as WMD-1, but there is no danger of accusations of "hype for profits" can be raised against them. However silly that accusation actually is.

P.S. If I write fantasies about pCARS 1 or 2 on GTPlanet my own believability as a poster on GTP will eventually be endangered. I care more about how I'm perceived on GTP long term to ever waste time telling fantasies about this or that game. All games come and go, GTP is here for the long term.

If being enthusiastic about a game and sharing information about it is "shilling", we all better get right off these gaming fora ;)

In fact, several WMD members on here were explicitly trying to contain the general public generated hype by appealing to realistic expectations, in between sharing information and answering questions. Granted, not everything came through, but that's not the fault of WMD members who were acting in good faith. Without the enthusiasm of WMD, from financing the game to testing it and informing the world, there would be no pCARS 1 and no upcoming pCARS 2.

Edit: Ninja'd by skazz!

For the record, it wasn't an accusation I came up with now, or consider to be true. Just something that has been doing the rounds in public gossip forums since 1 was released.

FS7

Yep now that he reveal the rest of the cars that's gonna be part of this pack i decided that im not buying this DLC pack. I'll download the free car which is the ford v8 and call it a day. And to think a few month's ago i was excited for January to come because i thought the oval DLC was coming during this month. The only thing im looking forward to this month now is that patch 8.0.

I'm not suggesting they were doing it for the money, just that SMS relied apon a lot of shilling from the WMD backers, not to mention an over inflated opinion of themselves just for spending few quid to kick start it.
Well done you manged to alow a company to release a half finished game rife with bugs with no custom championships or ability to race LMP cars against GT cars in mixed grids...well done you must be very proud.
After all of the backing and months down the line the game is still in places bugged the tyre model was messed with its badly optimised and the official forum will tell you that its at its peak on consoles and blame that, despite consoles creating the lion share of money... oh and they will still sell you PCars 2 despite telling us consoles are up to the job for PCars 1, but somehow they will be for PCars 2...honest...

INMO you are way off base with this statement. WMD not showing the bad parts of the game (they were told not to ) as well as the good parts looks REAL BAD after the fact. To say they "allowed a company to release a half finished game" is just way off base.

Ovals will come eventually, since there was already enough rage about the cancelled other tracks. They will probably be time-trial only though, since AI is a problem sms is struggling with and despite all the praise in those articles they are tired of working on pcars 1 content. Banochbrae was just held back from the start to extend the game's lifespan.

WMD backers were never involved in pCARS 1 console testing. It was handled by a 3rd party, not by WMD. Of course on the WMD forums there were loads of people offering to test if required, but it was difficult to arrange (dev consoles for beta testing, etc...).

Well done you manged to alow a company to release a half finished game rife with bugs

If you seriously think the WMD backers were able to influence the release date of pCARS to ensure it was fully bug free, you're in a unique one-man-awesome-zone-of-awesomeness. You must be very proud :)
