I enjoyed the DLC okay, but it's unfortunately another DLC of weird single-make cars and more GT3s (we have plenty). I'm happy to have the cars, but another missed opportunity to flesh out other series in the game (arguably the game's biggest failing thus far).
I somewhat agree. Chevy and Ford both have BTCC cars, so why not bring those along... Sigh.
Anyway, started pcars to actually play for the first time in ages yesterday, reason being my favorite race car in the worrrrrrld, the C7R. I actually like the sound quite a bit, ingame it is kinda spot on, only the trackside replays are a bit weak and thats indeed a typical pcars weakness. Imho the car is lovely to drive, more alive than almost all the other GTs. Will hoon it again.
The Indycar has too much understeer for my gusto, even with high downforce settings. Other than that, its nice. Not an open wheel kinda guy myself, but it was kinda fun around Road Murrica.
The Fusion is hilarious fun for 2-3 laps until it eats its rear tires. Having a bit of a hard time to believe that the real car is that loose on the rear end, though. Both around the Glen and around Sonoma, even when tippytoeing the throttle, the car came sideways in every bloody corner. Even the 1990 Caper has a lot more grip on the rear end. Like the way it sounds though and the gauges are nice, even if not accurate for the 2016 model.
The Aston is just about the most liveliest car in the game besides the Yellowbird, it is always on the edge. Maybe it is because I only tested it around bumpy Bannochbrae, but the damn thing had trouble going straight on the straights even. One bump and whoopsie! Hello Mr. Guardrail, my do you look sexy today, lets smooch. Again, fun in a way, but a bit much.
Didnt drive the Caddy yet cause frankly, I dont care much about it.
Has to be said though, I had massive problems with my ffb on PC. An hour worth of fiddling brougt almost no improvements, classic, default, custom preset all did nothing. Just a bit of initial resistance when turning and other than that, I just felt when the rear came lose and that was about it. With the Indycar, I either understeered into the weeds or whooped the car over the inside curve because the wheel felt straight up dead in both cases. Plugged my T300 into the PS4, BÄM: Suddenly I had normal FFB again.
